The tank you're probably thinking about is Tiger II (H) "fully upgraded tiger ll in wot with the new turret" if that was the case i dont think t34 would've won. But in the video it was tiger II (P) "basically tiger ll but with stock turret).
In the video the shell could have:
1-penetrated the turret cheek and went trough
2-tiger ll got trapshotted (the shell bounced from the cheeks and went into the hull.
But again this is just testing PP playground pen mechanics so again, this is nothing about russian bias. More like it's test of the game's physics system.
