My main concern with a chartered cat is the use and abuse it had during its charter life, specially engines , generator and all those moving parts that needs maintenance, sometimes the charter company neglect on that subject because of the cost of the parts and the time it may need to fix things properly.. This one looks in pretty good condition, at least what was showed , needs to see how is the integrity of the hulls , mast, boom , sails, riggings etc.
Hello. Thank you for your comment. Plenty of catamarans that started their lives as part of a charter fleet can successfully transition to the private market. It's crucial to hire a good surveyor, with ample experience on catamarans. Also, the reputation of the charter company is important. Here at The Catamaran Company, our boats are kept in top shape by our professional crew.
Hello Nick. We reached out directly to Pete with your question, and this was his answer: "Autopilot control module as well as standard sailing instruments to include compass, wind speed, wind direction, depth and vessel speed. The vessel is not currently rigged with a chart plotter or radar." Hope that helps.
Is it really not for sale in US waters to US Resident? Do you have any links to your website where the consequences of these restrictions are explained for US residents.
Glad you asked. Have a look at what one of our brokers, Mike Auton, wrote about the subject: catamaranexpert.com/what-does-not-for-sale-to-us-citizens-whilst-in-us-waters-actually-mean/
Bodacious, dude.
If this was audio only, I'd think I'm listening to Wiley Sharp.
Haha, true
Then when you add video you add a few pounds... 😆. No offence.
