- The 2023 Ford Everest Platinum has just arrived, so join me for a first look at the latest range topping 7 seat SUV from the blue oval.
The Ford Everest Platinum is packed with technology, safety features, a V6 turbodiesel engine and plenty of luxury, and can also tow up to 3.5 tonnes.

It's a shame you can't get the Sport with the matrix LEDs. I much prefer the look of the Sport.
@pastorofmuppets The delivery times are around 12 months at the minute.
It would be good if you could order the panoramic sunroof on the Sport too.
Be nice if they did a ‘Premium Pack’ for the Sport consisting of the B&O speakers and Matrix headlights.

Just a quick question that’s been bugging me for a while now! The interior lights (ambient lights on the doors and dash) can you change the colour of them?
@Chris Tzimagiorgi Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Unfortunately you can’t change the colour of the ambient lighting; maybe it’s due to semi conductor shortages still?

Can you move the back seats backwards and are able to move the middle seats further back then!?
@natalieschwerdt4485 No, the 3rd row of seats can't move backwards or forwards, It's only the middle row if seats that can do that
Hi Webby, great video as always. I just noticed at 8:55 there is a gap just below the steering column looks like not properly sealed, is this normal or will it allow the dust and dirt come through?
@Suneesh Thomas A couple of people have asked me that. I'm not sure if that's how it's meant to be but i've seen it on a few different cars.
@@WebbyOnCars thanks Webby. I got a chance to test drive the platinum on Saturday. In my observation, that space is for steering adjustment and we are seeing the insulation above the pedals through this gap.
Yet another great video, thanks Paul. I've been watching with interest since ordering our Platinum Everest in July. If it isn't too much of a personal question, could I ask how tall you are as I'm trying to get a gauge of head room for my son who is 185cm.

I don’t know why most models haven’t made the blind spots, meaning in between windows clear, to see through?
@natalieschwerdt4485 It's probably because that area of the car needs withstand a lot of pressure in the event of an accident so needs to be made of stronger materials

Great video Platinum looks amazing. I've ordered a Platinum in Aluminum with tow pack due December 2023 according to Ford, bit of a delay since I ordering in May 2022 i'm sure it will be worth the wait just wish it could be quicker.
Can you control the rear AC from the drivers seat to assis in cooling the vehicle quicker?
Will there be a retractable cargo cover available?
The Rangers have optional switches for accessory lights is there anything available for the Everest Platinum?

Yes, you can control the rear cooling from the front via the SYNC4 system.
I've looked through the Ford ccessories and I couldn't find a retractable cargo cover.
The overhead auxiliary switches are available for all models of the new Everest which is good to see.

@@jameswilson4712 yeah that’s when they start to arrive, but they’re only coming in very small numbers. We’re getting 1-2 per month, so lead times will be very long.
We’ve sold quite a few plus had some people switch from their Wildtrak orders to a Platinum

We got in early - around April or so, and ordered the Everest Sport (for the V6) with tow pack but are being told there is an even further delay on the car. Any more info as to why such a delay? I'm champing at the bit to get the car but hope it isn't too long. Also, when will you review the Sport? Thanks.
@Daz F Congratulations on your new car, it’ll be worth the wait! Cars with towpack or touring pack are taking longer as I don’t think Ford expected such high demand.

Still can’t understand why the public, the people purchasing the vehicles giving ford the hard earn money can’t see one in person, this is Ford looking after the dealers and not the customers. The vehicles have been in car shows overseas for 6 months. Have ordered the Everest platinum last week just to get one in the ordering system. I also have a raptor on order from June in metallic aluminium. Why can’t ford just put the ranger, raptor, Everest on a car transport and drive state by state and show the public the vehicles so we can view them and confirm our choice.
@Chibby0007 I work at a Ford dealership and we’ve only just got our first Everests in the last few days.
They have been seen at a few car events here in Australia but lack of availability has made it difficult to show them everywhere unfortunately.
The Platinum is a really nice spec and a great choice!
You’ve got a long wait for both vehicles but it’ll be worth it.

Ford have shown me and my partner nothing but bad service from the head office. Our small ford have tried there best to help but it’s very disheartening when we own 2 ford performance and now I have another 2 on order !

I just bought next gen Ambiente and boy is is noisy on the motorway! I am wondering if the Ambiente has less sound deadening than the higher spec models? Its got the stock 17 inch Bridgestone Duelers. Its so bad I cannot believe it.
@BillyBob That’s disappointing. I haven’t driven an Ambiente yet, but I’m hoping to soon. When I do I’ll film a video with it and check what the noise levels are like compared to other models.

What is the drive away price of the Platinum? What is the wait time? Will you get an opportunity to compare a test drive between the 21 and 18 inch wheels? No bullbar option? So many questions!
@Kahuna around $89000 drive away fully loaded depending on which state you live in.
Wait time is around 12 months at the minute.
I haven’t seen one with the 18” wheels yet, but it would be interesting to compare the two wheel sizes.

Thanks you for the video.. Its very informative.. I think cardl doesn't have the heads up display? I always prefer this feature.. never drove the everest before, Does the feature really requires for everest considering the hight.
