Good lord, definitely bucket list to drive at one of these events with the Lone Star crew! The sher amount of driver skill and the variety of cars in the comp is insane, lovin the commentary by the way, very good outlook on how competitions flow!
He was on way gripped up tires during this round. They don’t make kendas for his wheel size, but they figured out a tire for him to run with similar grip to everyone else for future rounds
Sammyzuko that’s just because Taylor is both an incredibly smart man when it comes to suspension, and he’s a monster behind the wheel. Most miatas are twitchy and hard to drive fluently
@@HatchieeOG Define "gripped up," if you don't mind- what tires? IIRC he said in his video of this comp that he was on sticky tires for the last battle or 2 because they were all he had left, but i have no idea what he was running before that. Do you? I'd love to know, also it would be cool to hear what he will run next time he does Lone Star. I'm really curious how much of what we watched was tire and how much was his slammed low spring rate rear suspension setup etc.
I just slapped a stage 3 drift kit on my 90’ fox body. Just ordered a handbrake and new pedals. I can’t wait til I finish my build and hit some amateur drift leagues. I also want to attend a drift school to hone my “skills” or lack there of. 😅
I think the cars in this comp need to have a hp and tire size limit, maybe like if car is below 2700 pounds 500hp limit and 235s limit and 2700 and up 650hp and 265
Pretty much all cars in our series run no more than a 265/35/18 rear Kenda KR20. There are 2-3 cars that don't adhere to this, but typically no one ever has won our series running anything other than a 265 KR20 in the past 10 years except once.
The setup looks nice on Spencers S14! Got a link for the build breakdown on that KA-T? Can't seem to find it on the channel. As always thanks for the awesome content Aaron.
You didn’t answer my question! Lol I’m wondering if he was gonna go pro2. He’s been entertaining the idea cus he’s been talking about building his pro2 build.
Oh cool was Just wondering cuz he’s a dang good driver! He’s besties with LZ and Adam has a stacker rig it might be good for the TH-cam kids to join forces and decimate all comers!
I've loved watching Taylor ray come up. Kid can drive.
Breeze Mccaig lmao “kid” he’s like 30 something years old😂
@@zerohourdrift it's a term of endearment you internet nazi

Taylor's miata next to the g8 is literally just the length of the g8's quarter panel lmao!
The little Miata just has a completely different flow from the rest of the cars. Almost seems like it should be in a different class.

Drew Miller aasbo is absolutely mental... fuck off hater😂

@@lifesgo0d i dont like aasbo either but, did you know that the corolla have longer wheelbase than a S chassis?

Did Taylor earn his pro2 license?
Not from Lone Star Drift.

He placed first three times in the lone star pro am he may be able to earn one by petitioning FD.
I believe he wants to compete in a full season of lone star drift next year, I don’t believe he is trying for a provisional

Who else skipped through for Taylor’s runs 🤣
lol
Lone Star Drift don’t judge me! 🙋🏿♀️
