Thanks! I've watched quite a few of these videos on separation and all of them use a fairly "simple" example. Like, a simple pop song, not too crowded and with great separation and clarity in the arrangement. Now, how does it fare on a complex smashed track with loads of distorted double tracked guitars etc? I think I know the answer, but it would be refefreshing for someone to show that side of the coin too.
@@GreenLightSound the vocals, bass, and drums, and everything else?...I don't think you got that right. The everything else includes what else? Can you be more clear? Is piano or keys one of them? when you say vocals, is that background as well? is acoustic and electric guitar separated as well? Please advise..Thanks
I agree that for professional productions, there are still some artifacts, but for learning instruments (like guitars for example), by having the stem separate from the stereo file, it's much easier to distinguish a part if you're having trouble hearing it in the stereo file. I think it's an interesting feature, even if you don't plan using it.
I’ve used it to make practice backing tracks for a band I’m in, by recording our rehearsals on a phone, then using S1s separation function. I’ve taken out drums, for myself to practice my drum parts, taken out the “other” for the guitarist to practice without the guitars etc. It will be a very handy feature to use when any of the band can’t make a rehearsal. We’ll still have their parts to play along to, without it taking too much effort.
are you wild? with this tool you can literally sample old and current songs and then use melodyne to turn the audio to midi and make the entire beat completely yours it is an insanely powerful tool for sampling.

Woah, that’s SO SO helpful. Wish pro tools have that
Is that an original song?
Can you take just the drums and separate them into separate tracks or is that as far as it can break apart the the drum track?
This is as far as it goes.
@@GreenLightSound Thank you

Is it subscription base use only
No, it's part of the perpetual license for V7.
my stem separation is not working
You might need to download an add on to get it to work
It doesn't work windows, I guess it just for Mac 😢
It works for Windows, click on the file, and press Ctrl+U
Not even slightly interested in this, I don’t see the uses for it, a totally useless feature that’s a waste of computing power.
Your lack of imagination seems like a waste of your brain's computing power.

The lack of vision and imagination are your own. And, unless you're working on a 15 year old computer, computing power for this is a moot point.
