    I've started using broad only at my ad set level, so no interests or LALs. My CPMs are about 4 times cheaper, thus my cost per conversion is much lower, as low as £0.04. I would only do this if you have a fair amount of pixel data tho, otherwise Meta won't be able to hone in on the right people.
    This setup also allows for maximum creative testing as you no longer need to be trying out new audiences, you just use the same ad set and add new creatives, and allow Meta's machine learning to find the best creative.
    PS: I'm also always using auto-placements, the audience network is using less than 1% of the budget. I'm only using 1080x1920 content as well.

    I think I might have been the one that posted the link to the Ben Heath video on the forum. I just added an ad set to my latest campaigns using the advantage placement that you discuss and it will be interesting to see how that goes. I chose only the United States, but also included Canada.

    Love your videos! Super cool to see you experiment on our behalf 😂 appreciate you. I’ve experimented with using call rail for uploading a song where it goes straight to voicemail when you call it. Then a text is auto sent (still awaiting approval for this) with a link to Spotify etc. looked into getting a vanity number too which are only $50. Going to experiment running an ad with it. Figured I return the favor although this is more guerrilla style marketing haha w

    Hey andrew quick question, For someone wanting to get back into music, (Hip hop & R&B) Whats a good budget to start out with for a first song just to test the waters? and do you recommend having content up on tik tok, etc beforehand also before promoting your music with facebook ads? Thanks.

  • @angeloboltini
    @angeloboltini ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Andrew! There's one thing that kind of puzzles me in these ads. I find that targetting current followers is quite effective - which may be obvious - but finding new fans this way tends to not work too well. And that makes sense, I never personally click an ad for a band I don't know. This concept of 'when trap meets dubstep' seems a good way to entice new listeners. Do you have other tips or views on this?

    • @MrAlwaysOnTen
      @MrAlwaysOnTen ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Make content you would like duh. If you would be a fan of your music, think about ads that would grab your attention. Then copy what all the successful bands do

  • @JYANKAY

    I am certain that I've set the campaign correctly, but the cost per conversion goes as high as $1~$2 for me. I am paying per impression not link clicks, could that be the problem? Or does the cost normally go up like that at the machine learning phase?

    • @AndrewSouthworth
      @AndrewSouthworth  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You’re actually always billed per impression. Costs are always bad the first day or two while FB figures stuff out, especially if it’s your first time.
      But it could also be the ads you’ve used or the audiences you’ve used. The video you use makes a massive difference.

  • @MaPa60
    @MaPa60 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks like a solid campaign, especially if the followers are from areas where the artist will go on tour. That could have a long tail of results after the fact. I’ve had mixed results with reference artists, I find that part difficult..

    • @AndrewSouthworth
      @AndrewSouthworth  ปีที่แล้ว

      The conversion is when they click one of the destinations on the landing page to go stream the song. It doesn't guarantee that they streamed the song, but if they landed on the page and clicked the probability is very high that they will go and stream it.
      Typically 1,000 conversions will result in around 1,000 to 1,500 streams, 500+ listeners, 250+ saves, 125-250 playlist adds and 25-50 followers. At least if things are set up properly.

    Not sure if I get it or not. I get same numbers when I run campaign and if I spent £167 and had about 0.0288 cost per conversion. And even though Facebook says 6k clicks I had just 400 clicks throughs. Adding this number does not make any financial sense. Correct me if I am wrong Andrew

    • @AndrewSouthworth
      @AndrewSouthworth  ปีที่แล้ว

      167 pounds is about $211 USD, so your actual cost per conversion was about $0.53 per conversion. If FB said your cost per conversion was $0.0288 then campaign likely isn't tracking the correct conversion event.
      Additionally if you had 6,000 clicks and only 400 conversions something is definitely up, thats less than a 10% clickthrough rate on the landing page. Generally my landing pages are 50%+ CTR.

    Do you think that this method is more ideal for the Spotify algorithm than your usual method? I'm thinking because you're not targeting so many countries the fans also like section and the fans that get the song in their algorithmic playlists would be US fans too.

    • @AndrewSouthworth
      @AndrewSouthworth  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The main way is just to appeal their decision. If you already did that, your only other move is to find someone that works at the company and ask for help.
      I know someone that was able to ask for a favor from their friend at their label to look into something for them. But it’s hard, Facebook doesn’t really do customer support or human reviews.
