wow Robin, I learn so much watching your channel. Everyday is a joy watching you.I have rediscovered my artistic life after 60. Thank you so much again. I seem to thanking you every time i watch you. I am so happy to have a teacher like you even if you are on another side of the world.
I’m embarrassed Robin. I can’t believe how much I didn’t know about a camera I’ve owned for 3 years. I started to read the manual way back but kind of forgot about it once the basics were understood. Some great tips there & yes please do some stuff on B&W photography 🙏
Robin, thanks so much for opening the keys to how the Olympus world works. I love my OMD Mk2, but only knew what I didn't know. I will get so much more fun out of it. JimP
Thank you Robin! I have packed my Pen F so many times in preparation to sell it. Now I am excited to unpack these color features and looking forward to loving the camera.
So informative and easy to understand, your ability to share what is important is just amazing. Thank you. Also your video production is far better than most in all aspects.
Hey Robin! Thank you so much for your videos. You are my primary source of information regarding Olympus EM10 mark iv. I'm a newbie to mirrorless and your videos are more than helpful. You just simplified what's in the manual. Thank you.
So happy I found this. Been following your work for years now and didn’t notice this one. I love playing with colours in my photos, I had no idea A was Amber and G green. I thought it was some type of Alpha Gamma thing 😂 Also didn’t know about setting colour intensity. Great stuff!
Thank You Mr Robin..I am using GH5 and G9..Honestly I lot many learn from you. Featured on OMD system to be same in my Lumix Camera. I am always miss your video...always success Mr Robin..thank you
Hey Robin - Thanks for your fantastic content and your recent efforts to increase the pace of content creation. Your channel is my first ever TH-cam subscription! I’m a long time lurker, first time commenter, and also a long time Olympus user (from the original OM-D film days) and your explanations of the tips and tricks and menus intricacies have been illuminating. I am obsessed with underwater macro photography and dabble in terrestrial macro and wildlife photography, for which M4/3 presents some significant advantages. It would be great if you could add such topics to your channel. Keep up the great work!
I had forgotten about these features! Thanks for the reminder! It's super useful in competitions like photomarathons where you can't post edit and have to only deliver jog and 1 shot per theme. Have you ever done a marathon? Saw Tomas Heathon did in UK some years ago. Poor lad. Was a struggle but he had fun. It's really healthy to participate ;whether you are a pro or amatour. Thanks for another great video and Happy New Western New Year!
I am preferring "as original as possible picture" 👌 using natural setting ... Like this article , good info on the color adjust 😊 never use it before ...
Thank you Robin. I've been an OLY shooter for a very long time. But I have never worked with the color creator. Thanks for the demonstration and explanation.
I have a EM1 Mk II and I found the Amber & Green on the super control panel helped me a lot with my white balance 💯👍🏻 thanks Robin keep this tutorials coming ✅✅✅
Robin, you go where I have feared to tread. :) ... And to places unknown or under-used. You are unrivaled as an Olympus guide. It is perhaps my misunderstood notion that using color creator limits the image to .jpg? Please comment on that. I believe using art filters likewise limit image to .jpg. Nothing at all wrong with that if you know what it is you are getting out beforehand. The auto WB Amber and Green micro adjust tips are awesome. All in all for us color lovers this latest episode is Olympian! Black and white tips would be very welcome.
I’m happy to have found your channel. Thank you for these tips Robin, was about to upgrade to an expensive camera, but i changed my mind knowing i have a lot more features that expensive cameras don’t have.
Robin, I totally enjoy your videos. I am going on safari in Tanzania in July. Can you share some useful tips about wildlife photography from a safari vehicle?
So easy to listen and watch you than trawling through the manual that looks like War and Peace when you open it up, had to do a Little investigation to find the art filters on the EM1X but that was no problem. thanks Robin.
I enjoy watching your videos..and would love to see how you produce B&W images. Although everything is in the manual, I find it frustrating reading it as it is obviously written by engineers. If I want to find anything out, the manual has the habit of directing me to separate pages rather than linking all relevant points together. Your videos does a much better job. Many thanks.
Thanks Robin for the video. I switched from Sony to Olympus but I always miss the dense color from Sony (I like many other Olympus things of course). I use PenF which comes with the art mode dial, but I never spend much time playing with the color wheel as I take kids photos and I don’t have time to do the settings before my kid stop smiling. Think I should not complain about this and spend time researching the color creator settings. And yes the AWB with fine tuning is good. I never noticed or knew what the A & G mean!
The AWB is one of the main pain point of Olympus systems. It’s been improved over the years. But last year I happen to see the picture result form my friend who used Sony. I should do more homework and not just rely on AWB.
Great video. Very informative stuff well delivered. Love these TIPS videos. Cheers 👍🏻. B&W video would be great as well as perhaps a using “Workspace” video. Keep up the good work
Thanks, glad you found the video useful. I will surely make a black and white video soon. Workspace, a good suggestion, but there are a lot of other alternatives out there that others use.
Or .. you can shoot raw and bother with the colors later. I once took a few shots indoors and found the auto WB was getting the colors too warm, you can just in camera select the indoor WB (or incandescent light), then preview the previous shots, edit, set WB .. fixed.
Yes please......B&W tips would be great! 👍👍 Also, with Nikon you can: “Custom Picture Controls can be edited and registered in the camera. You can change their names, delete them, and copy them to a memory card. You can also freely share files between cameras or photographers using a memory card, as well as importing custom Picture Controls created with Picture Control Utility and registering them in your camera. Moreover, you can import custom Picture Controls created in your camera to a computer via Picture Control Utility, then apply them to images using ViewNX 2 or Capture NX 2 software (and with newer cameras, launched after June 2014, using Picture Control Utility 2, which launches from within ViewNX-i or Capture NX-D).” Is it possible to do the same on an OMD EM1M2?
Robin, I may have missed this but your tips only seem to be relevant to jpeg shooting. It is interesting to see Olympus Workspace in action. I appreciate, not everybody uses Lightroom but there you can do all those colour adjustments (white balance, saturation, luminance, hue).
I'm intrigued with trying some of these tips out, but dont think I can do all with my EM 5 original. Definitely love shooting black and white and enjoy using the presets in camera. Please show me more👍🏻
Very useful tips like always, thanks! I learned a lot from your videos to better understand my new E-5 Mark III and the wired and unergonomic Olympus interface (coming from Panasonic LUMIX, for me the best interface ever!).
Robin..you used to have a video posted I titled "Robin in the City" I may have that wrong. It was a short video of your little Robin character filmed in different places. I can't find that among your videos. I really liked it. Can you help me find it? Thanks
Very good and useful video. I have the Pen-F and would like to see also videos about this camera even though the Pen Series are simular to the OM-D System. Please also videos about monochrome photography. Thank you.
Thanks Robin! You know, when it was golden hour on the red rocks in Arizona, the lighting was really confusing the white balance and so I set it to shade but I will have to try adjusting the amber slider next time. Something I've been doing a lot of in camera is the highlight and shadow controls and it's come very natural to me to adjust as I look at the subject. I've gone as far as adjusting contrast and color saturation slightly where I'm really pleased with the in camera jpeg that I don't even edit the image in post. I love this about my E-M10 II.
Hi Robin, Any tips and insight into the use of the OM-D range of cameras and lenses are most helpful always look forward to your videos etc, just keep posting, please.
Yes to bw photography. I use the grainy art filter with a 35mm c-mount manual lens on my em5ii and love the setup, but end up using the additional RAW file in Lightroom instead. Temptation wins...
Thank you very much for you videos, and yes I would like to know your tips about B&W photography. Keep up the good work. Your fan number one from Portugal, Europe. ;)
yes, Black and white tips please (portraits in particular)
Alright! Will do one soon.
Rob Trek has also done a few on B&W setting for Olympus

One of the most informative EM1 Mark II possibilities I've seen so far.
I also have never used any of these tips though I have been shooting Olympus for over 10 years! Thanks.
Great info Robin! Thank you as usual. And yes to the black and white.

Hey Robin! Thank you so much for your videos. You are my primary source of information regarding Olympus EM10 mark iv. I'm a newbie to mirrorless and your videos are more than helpful. You just simplified what's in the manual. Thank you.

An excellent tutorial Robin. I am already applying your suggestions. Thanks again.
I am new to Olympus so thank you very much for the information

Also didn’t know about setting colour intensity.
Great stuff!
I personally like the colour creator. I try to use it lightly and not get too much a saturated look. Looking forward to your B&W tips. Thanks
Thanks for sharing the tip on the color wheel, much appreciated.
Great Video and Tutorial. Please stay safe.
Thank You Mr Robin..I am using GH5 and G9..Honestly I lot many learn from you. Featured on OMD system to be same in my Lumix Camera. I am always miss your video...always success Mr Robin..thank you

Brilliant thank you Robin - very helpful 👍
This is incredibly useful. I was simply not aware that we could fine-tune AWB in this way. I thought Fuji offered the option to create 'recipes'.

Great tips! Thank you!
So easy to listen and watch you than trawling through the manual that looks like War and Peace when you open it up, had to do a Little investigation to find the art filters on the EM1X but that was no problem. thanks Robin.
Very useful, thank you. One of the colour problems I have is with browns.
Hi Robin, could you share with us tips of making better black and white photos ?
I enjoy watching your videos..and would love to see how you produce B&W images. Although everything is in the manual, I find it frustrating reading it as it is obviously written by engineers. Robin Wong in your view is Workspace a viable usable option against the others? Your views are appreciated. Thanks

Yeah, most of the settings are not available in the E-M5 unfortunately! We are already in Mark III territory!

Hi Robin, thank you very much for these videos of yours I need a lot Thanks .... Happy New Year 2020

Hi.Fan from Thailand
Nice video 👍 but u need guide how to achieve Canon like colors on Olympus
Thanks Robin for sharing the tips. So far I shot JPEG when using my OMD EM5 camera....but this video is a good references to me.
Robin, for all the tips that you mentioned, basically you can do all of those using Olympus Workspace, on Olympus raw files? Right?
Always was wondering what those were for I kind of new I'll try them out
