Love the concept and color grading is perfect 👌
The film is incredibly suspenseful with how it uses the cinematography to harness the claustrophobic space where it's set and the sound design is superb, every breath and creak feels gross and foreboding. One slight issue is with the set up and pay off, the joke at the end is funny and a good tension breaker but there isn't really any set up to suggest there's a party waiting for the protagonist which I think undermines the sudden tonal shift. As a whole though, it's great.
I agree! The suspense is built up so well, but there's a disconnect between the ending and the rest of the film that I found deeply unsatisfying. Was it an incredibly dark prank by her friends? If so, why the cheery surprise at the top? Or were the calls completely unrelated?
