As someone who’s done costume reproduction and sewing commissions, I wouldn’t charge any less than $20 an hour (I personally would charge $30 at least). You are using skills that have taken you years to acquire, and not just anyone could take a pile of fabric and make this dress! I hope this doesn’t come across as harsh in any way! I’ve had to learn the hard way doing commissions and you should 100% charge your worth. The dress is STUNNING. Cinderella’s gown is one of my bucket list projects and I am really picky when I see reproductions - you did an amazing job!
i earn $18AU an hour which is about $13US for working retail... which in comparison to this is incredibly easy. i think people making stuff of this calibre should be charging at least $30 an hour! i could never in a million years do something like this, it is definitely worth the money.
So stunning. I think it would actually be pretty reasonable to charge the 4000 dollars. The amount of work and the high quality of your work (a lot of handsewing etc) plus the materials is bound to wind up at such a high price. And it's so impressive that it only took you about one and a half a months!! So cool
I love when she was spinning in slow motion, the ruffles at the bottom had three different colors. And it looked amazing. I really love this and the fishing line idea. I love how you're learning as you go. I plan on making a dress like this too. Thank you for your tutorial. ❣
This screams talent! As a seamstress, I can tell that you have done such a challenging project with impressive results! Good job and thank you for sharing!
Never feel uncomfortable to charge what you deserve. 1st- you worked so many hours on this. 2nd- it took you years to learn to get to the level you are sewing now. 3rd- sewing like this is not a common talent, you should charge extra for your unique talents too.
Thank you so much for breaking down the price. It always amazes me how often acquaintances think home sewn items are cheaper and don't calculate the hours put into it. Oh and $15/hour would be a close friend/family discount. Amazing ... it looked just amazing
the level of skill you have at such a young age is amazing. the dress looks absolutely gorgeous i love how you included progress shots of twirling/running in the dress too!
Your dress is stunning! You should be so proud of yourself for creating this, and not just at the end result but also the entire process! 😊 I would never be able to make something like this, let alone sew a piece of clothing, but you inspire people to go after their dreams and I really appreciate that. ❤️
The iridescent fabric underneath looks SO GOOD, I can tell it's one of those dresses that don't translate well on camera but that are gorgeous in real life. Good job!
so refreshing to see a youtuber making a beautiful gown without a designated "sewing room" like others 😅 i can relate to sewing on my dining table hahaha you've done such an amazing job and i'm so impressed by the quality of the dress!!! it's so accurate to the film which i really really love, you are so talented, thank you for this video !!! 🥰
You did yourself proud. Understand that almost nobody can do what you did in creating that ball gown. There are people who would pay $10,000 for it just for a prom dress. Your labor is valuable, especially because you are making an hierloom.
wow, so beautiful! I love the reveal at the end where you spin and spin and jump. Getting to see its maximum swooshyness along with the peeps of iridescent ruffles from underneath. Totally magical!
I love that even though it may not be 100% movie accurate, it’s still definitely recognizable and looks stunning. I also like that you didn’t let the haters get to your head:)
This is so beautiful! I think you did an incredible job recreating her dress, and being just one person finishing such a difficult project is even more impressive
oh my goshh! I loved it! I am brazilian and I'm still learning English but watching this video I felt very pround of myself because I understood! Thank you very much for that, the way that you explain is very easy to understand so, anyway, I just loved it!
This looks so beautiful! And you're right about the color - they darkened the dress in post production. If you look at any footage from deleted scenes or bloopers, you'll see that the unedited footage shows the light blue dress. I do love the dark blue, but I think this is much closer to the original dress! P.S.: as a fellow creative who makes things for a living, don't be afraid to value your time and skill! I know said you wouldn't commission this dress, but with the amount of knowledge and work that this must've taken, a person should be paid well, and if it's expensive, it's because there's a lot of work involved. Don't undersell yourself!
I think your colour fits Cinderella the best it is true so many blue dresses in the movie I prefer this colour done so well keep it up can’t wait to actually start making mine
It came out beautifully! This live-action Cinderella dress is my favorite movie dress of all time and you made a lovely copy! BTW, your sewing time is ABSOLUTELY worth a MINIMUM of $20/hour!
I am here just to say, that the actual dress is something between a grayish blue or a pale purple almost look silver like the original dress. But in the movie the thought it would get more attention if the color was stronger so they put an effect to make it look darker or vibrant.
Wow! What an amazing young person you are! So talented and SO patient. I wish you well and may you use your gift to bring much beauty to the world. God bless and protect you, dear.
She so talented and I never could do anything like it and for the people who say the color isn’t right or the shape is wrong ect, I would like them to try to make a dress as Beautiful and as elegant as the ones she makes.
except for the missing stones .. this dress is just perfect for cinderella ball gown.... you did so well amazing talent...its always such an obsession to own one... just for the fun and collection factor...a dream come true indeed
Absolutely gorgeous dress. You are quite the seamstress. I will come back to watch more of your channel. God bless you for creating something so beautiful.
You konw i watch many videos of Cinderella dress but no one match like this ,you are so talented I wish when i grow up I try to made a dress like this one
You did an incredible job on this dress!! I am so impressed! I'm glad you talked about how much work, planning, and experimenting went into it, that was very interesting. It shows how much you invest into your projects and that's so awesome!! Truly amazing job!!!
You're AMAZING and adorable! You go, girl!! If you feel like you are an amateur I CANT WAIT to watch your growth because your dresses are already incredible!
I love the Cinderella Live action movie. I've seen what the dress looked like actually in real life and that they amped up the blue digitally but I like your color better.
What an amazing talented young women you are. This dress is incredible and your work is really impressive, especially knowing that you are self taught on this art. Congrats ! It’s really heartwarming to see how far you’re going to go in this life. 👏
I think it looks pretty darn near perfect. I might make different choices for some details when I finally make mine but overall those aren't important. Congrats on making your dream dress!
As one of the BIGGEST Cinderella fans you young lady have CRUSHED this dress and made me want to have this dress for a wedding dress. You should be extremely proud of yourself. This is no less than STUNNING!
When my school did the Cinderella dress scene we had a "stunt double" in the maid costume spin off stage and the real Cinderella spun back on stage, this dress would have been So perfect for that! You should definitely have your own costume shop 🤗
Don't change, no matter what people say! You are very talented honey. Always something to complain IMO. keep being yourself and making beautiful garments
When she was running in the dress... She really looked like cindrella running out of the castle...❤️❤️ #Alexandra's Customery !! Love your dresses.... ❤️❤️
I think you have done an amazing job. there are not hardly any people out there your age range that can do what you have been doing. There arent very many people in my age range who can do what your doing. I"m fairly good at simple things, and enjoy doing embroidery. I would not be very good at putting together a dress like you are doing. so for those out there who are giving you lip about color and shape being wrong and what not. tell them to take a hike because I doubt they can do better unless they are a professional. A lot of fashion out there is trial and error. How else do you think most of these great costumes and clothing that are used and worn were created? Keep doing what you feel is right, find your own way just like you have been. Keep up the amazing work!!!

I’m about to start sewing lessons soon. I hope they are worth the $300
I love how you’re sharing your experience and ensuring someone else doesnt fall victim to the same injustice. I wish you tremendous success!! 🙌🏼
Lol I have 2 much younger sisters and they love princes so I like making them there dresses RN I am doing a snow whit one

Exactly. Especially the way our economy is today. At least $30 per hr.

I agree. She killed a sewing machine in the process so she is more than entitled to charge that amount
I’m sad she didn’t. If this was for me, I would’ve understood. This dress was crazy expensive to make.
i wish i could sew!! I have been obsessed with this dress ever since i saw it!!
Same. But my mum and grandma sews
Sewing is nothing you have to be born with, like singing, you just have to work hard. If its your dream to sew, you can be as good as she is one time.
there’s something so magical about seeing this skirt spin, it’s so exciting 🥺

I think this is one of the most beautiful dresses in the Disney's live actions, it was amazing 💙💙
Your dress is stunning! You should be so proud of yourself for creating this, and not just at the end result but also the entire process! 😊 I would never be able to make something like this, let alone sew a piece of clothing, but you inspire people to go after their dreams and I really appreciate that. ❤️

She has corset tutorial series on her Tiktok
I'm not allowed to be on TikTok.😔
@@justelise2609 Just find a compilation of her tiktok on youtube
She just posted one!!
Thank you!!!
wow, so beautiful! I love the reveal at the end where you spin and spin and jump. Getting to see its maximum swooshyness along with the peeps of iridescent ruffles from underneath. Totally magical!
This has to be the second best recreation of the dress i’ve seen (nothing can top bella mae’s recreation tho, she even used yumissima so like).
True but both are very beautiful!
@@렌렌-q8w agreed, this is definitely more realistic for a low budget person to make. She did amazingly well for her budget
I think both look just like the one in the movie! I honestly can’t pick!
Bella Mae's fabric choice of the lavender accent in underskirt was a miss- too dark- IMHO. This one flawlessly pretty.
The way the skirt swishes around, the layer of all those frills are all just wow 😍
Sweetheart this HAUTE COUTURE! You handmade butterflies out of fabric!
The color is perfect. You did a great job with the shape and keeping the smoothness of the bodice as well.
Absolutely incredible!!! I would EASILY pay $4000 to have this made in ivory to wear as my wedding dress.
I love that even though it may not be 100% movie accurate, it’s still definitely recognizable and looks stunning. I also like that you didn’t let the haters get to your head:)
Your a very talented young lady. The dresses you create and sew are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
This is so beautiful! I think you did an incredible job recreating her dress, and being just one person finishing such a difficult project is even more impressive
The dress is gorgeous! Such a long process, too, that's what is called determination and sticking with it. ♡
oh my goshh! I loved it! I am brazilian and I'm still learning English but watching this video I felt very pround of myself because I understood! Thank you very much for that, the way that you explain is very easy to understand so, anyway, I just loved it!
I can relate too i am Egyptian , i really appreciate when they talk clearly 😂
