This helped me isolate my abs more and I've not had any discomfort since doing this I do this on my bed with my lower body in the air ( body's still parallel to the floor ) so that I can get a stronger contraction

Thanks Jeff something I’ve been struggling with which I though was sciatica then after seeing someone been told it was a bulging disc to see someone else to say it’s hip impingement I left wondering what the hells going on, booked in for a scan to see if can find the issue but this seems to ease the dead pain, and understanding of what could be the problem. Thanks 👍🏻
I love how as a solution to 'tight' hips, he doesn't recommend stretching but rather distraction and strengthening. Most ppls hips aren't tight but just weak. The same applies to shoulders.
Yess! Thanks for the video Jeff! I will be using this for my right hip, I have had this long term tightness and popping in it. I usually only feel it when I do abs on the ground laying though
just look up muscle diagrams and look at the muscles around the hips, incluing the hip muscles, theres glutes, adductors, low back, core, and legs in general
Jeff has addressed this in a previous video about Anterior Pelvic Tilt; In my case the snapping hips I have are from the Illiopsoas tightness, underworked abs and weak glutes & hamstrings. I did some static stretching for the Illiopsoas (you can find some on google) and along with that some solid abs training and glutes/hamstring workouts. I did see some solid changes after 2 weeks, but the problem with that was that when I'd try to do any abs training my hips would still pop slightly because of the nature of the exercise, so this video solved that issue as well.
Awesome video jeff! This is very helpful. Can you tell us wich exercises should I do to fix in long term my snapping hip? Hope you can read this. Greetings from Chile!
Excited to try this, but... can anyone tell me what kind of band to buy? And could I use it with a door anchor? I've searched Amazon extensively and the closest it seems to be is an "assisted pullup band." The only circular bands I have are about 1ft long, nowhere near this long. I'd be doing this from home and don't have the giant machines Jeff attaches the band to for the hip capsule stretch in this and another vid I saw. Grateful for anyone reading this can provide. My hip feels horrible!
How often should i do mobility drills like this, the shoulder one, and the top resistance band exercises? Also Jeff could you do ankle mobility/knee strengthening exercises.
I'm going to start trying this, I get cracking while I'm doing various core exercises while the legs are elevated or moving up and down (i.e: starfish crunches). Hopefully doing this in conjunction with AX1 can help strengthen the muscles around the hip and ultimately eliminate the annoying cracking. Thanks!
Hey I have 3 bulging disks l3 l4 (herniated) l5. I stretch I hydrate I've done physical therapy. My hamstrings are shot, my hipflexers go off, sciatica pain the whole thing. I've tried ur stretches and they have been helping I just know there are stretches to do and things not to do but help. Lol
Could you do a video on body weight exercises to even out uneven lats? My left lat is bigger than my right and I'm keen on just sticking with body weight/calisthenics workouts as they are really working for me.
This is really interesting. I wonder if it would work on/help the hip subluxations I sometimes get from my hyper-mobility syndrome. Probably worth a shot.
Great video - probably my most re-watched video in all of TH-cam. I always had a question about this though: you talked about using this to remove impingement and then needing to strengthen the hip to keep things in place. Do you have a video that focuses on this strengthening? Or is that just embedded in the Athlean X programs? Would be great to know as that’s the sort of thing I’m looking for (I know what to do in terms of a workout split but would love those unknown exercises that strengthen what I don’t know). Thanks for all the great videos.

Thanks 👍🏻
Using the bands makes a big difference for my hip mobility.
Wow this was amazing. It actually helped a lot
I love your explanations. It helps me when I know why!
I have adopted this into my training programme. As always, brilliant advise and a pleasure to watch.
i actually would find it really interesting to hear Jeffs opinion on Mobility WOD
I can't begin thank you enough! But I'll try, THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!👍👍
Jeff posts videos to solve all my problems
Genius is all I can say. Thanks Jeff.
I love how as a solution to 'tight' hips, he doesn't recommend stretching but rather distraction and strengthening. Most ppls hips aren't tight but just weak. The same applies to shoulders.
I have pain in my hips when i try to do side splits. Whenever I try to stretch it feels like I'm pinching or damaging something. What can I do?
Damn these guys have videos on absolutely everything 👑🔥
Yess! Thanks for the video Jeff! I will be using this for my right hip, I have had this long term tightness and popping in it. I usually only feel it when I do abs on the ground laying though
I needed this! Thanks for the great knowledge and tips Jeff! Keep up the good work bro
Hi. what exercises do you use this with to strengthen the hip for a long term fix? Thanks.
I'd like to understand the long term fix as well Jeff
Jim T Weighted planks
Jim T im no expert in this so dont take my word for it. but do you underwork your core?
just look up muscle diagrams and look at the muscles around the hips, incluing the hip muscles, theres glutes, adductors, low back, core, and legs in general
Can you do the same video but on knees/legs? Thanks in advance!
so helpful! great for PT student like me. Thank you, Jeff.
My hip feels horrible!
still great content in 2021. Thanks Jeff!
Thanks!
Thanks for all of the very imformative vids - keep up the great work! Blessings from northern ca.
You're awesome Jeff! I learn so much from your videos and really enjoy your style of instruction!
Lol
Can you please make a video on correcting a pelvic tilt?
joseph4tw He has! Search it!
@@GeorgeUK84 comment is 4 years older than yours lmao
Could you do a video on body weight exercises to even out uneven lats? My left lat is bigger than my right and I'm keen on just sticking with body weight/calisthenics workouts as they are really working for me.
This is really interesting. I wonder if it would work on/help the hip subluxations I sometimes get from my hyper-mobility syndrome. Probably worth a shot.
This is an awesome video Jeff. I am a recent subscriber and I have no idea how I haven't heard you sooner. Great stuff.
Hey jeff great video. I was wondering what is the set of exercise needed to help with hip mobility long term?
Love the facts you share in a very confident way! Very nice body too..good job!
