I found this site online: www.fileplanet.com/archive/p-62940/gmax-v1-2 You may need to get the registration code online as well - a quick Google search should locate it. It's at your own risk, I haven't tried the site and I'm not endorsing it. Also, I understand it won't run under Windows 11. Nevertheless, I'll keep using it until I am absolutely forced to try and learn Blender.....
