    🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    00:00 💊 *Treating mold in CIRS with binders,*
    - Mold detoxification primarily occurs through the liver into bile and feces.
    - Cholestyramine and welchol are pharmaceutical binders often used, but they can cause intolerances due to fillers.
    - Okra and beet fiber have shown effectiveness as binders, providing alternatives to pharmaceutical options.
    02:48 🌱 *Fiber as a natural detoxifier,*
    - Fiber, particularly from sources like okra and beet, can effectively bind mold toxins.
    - The average American diet lacks sufficient fiber intake, which impacts detoxification.
    - Increasing fiber intake to around 40 grams daily can support detoxification processes and overall health.
    05:19 🧬 *Maximizing detoxification with lipid therapy,*
    - Lipid therapy, including phosphatidylcholine and omega-3/6 fatty acids, aids in detoxification and reduces inflammation.
    - Lipid therapy focuses on enhancing bile production and improving mitochondrial function.
    - Individualized approaches are crucial in tailoring treatments based on patient tolerance and needs.

      @AaronHartmanMD  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      raw meat diet and white rice, not sure how white rice helps with yeast or candida issues, because it actually can drive it. As far as raw meat, you actually have to have a functional enough GI tract to digest raw meat, which is the reason why many people with chronic health issues don't do well with it. You can always cook the meat in a crock pot, and slow cook to make it easy to digest. I utilize a carnivore-type diet with my patients who have SIBO and are hypermobile. And by exam looks like they have protein malnutrition, which is actually quite common. There are many diets and many options for many people, you ultimately have to individualize whatever you're doing for yourself, working with a skilled practitioner who can actually do this. You might want to check out our blog site to learn more about treatment protocols, and other resources! :)

      @@AaronHartmanMD I am grateful for the feedback, I disagree about raw meat, raw meat is the easiest food source other than fruit to digest for human beings. I am sure you have helped many individuals get back to health but for me the standard modalities did not work. I had to address both psychological and somatic issues, as manifestations can come from either end which affect one another and add to the complexities, as I am sure you well know by now. I hope you continue to bring people back form such a devastating health issue.

    I have never seen anyone get well after getting CIRS from mold exposure. This is why they have big conferences now and people are popping up support groups. These conferences and support groups exist because no one is fixing this issue. I don't think you are healing people from CIRS either. At best, people temporarily feel a little better to then relapse later. They stay under treatment for years and years without ever gaining their life back.

      Modified citrus pectin is a great source, but it's mainly used for detoxification binding heavy metals, as well as binding gut endotoxins. You can use it for a fiber source for these but it's not primarily for feeding the gut bacteria.

    How come I didn’t get CIRS until working in a WDB if Actinos are produced on our skin? Also once you clear Marcons you can go on VIP right? Doesn’t VIP bring down the inflammation?

    • @RIFMAdmin
      @RIFMAdmin 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Hi, it's a little more complicated than that. You need a triggering event; you can live in a moldy building for years and have exposure. But something has to push you over the edge. Sometimes it's time. Sometimes it's a concussion or a tick bite. Sometimes it's something else. So just having actinomycin on your skin won't give you Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome. And you need to pass your visual contrast sensitivity test and have a negative mark on it before we can move on with the VIP steps. VIP is the pinnacle among the steps, specifically Step 13. After you've completed the other steps, yes, VIP does contribute to reducing inflammation. However, typically, most people's inflammation has already decreased significantly by the time they reach the point of being able to use VIP.

    If alcohol sugars/sweetners give you constipation, your problem is very likely Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth instead of an elusive condition with very little research behind it such as CIRS.
    If you think I’m wrong, please point me to some proper research about this, because I can’t find it.

      Alcohols, sugar alcohols, and artificial sweeteners all impact have impacts on your gut microbiome at different levels to different degrees. Not only with methane-producing bacteria but the general dysbiosis. I would just refer you to PubMed and research those items with dysbiosis SIBO. Or you can use access to this via Google Scholar. But the research is pretty proliferative.

    • @Headingtowardhealing
      @Headingtowardhealing 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Do you have CIRS? Not so sure I'd describe it as an elusive condition. More so (truly awful) is what I'd say. It's almost like the complete opposite of auto immune. Your body doesn't even make the antiboties to fight the mycotoxins or biotoxin. You're just a sitting duck getting sicker and sicker over time until you can barely function in normal daily life.

    • @Ruktiet
      @Ruktiet 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Headingtowardhealing that is, indeed, what they say it is like. Yet it would not make any sense at all that your body doesn’t detoxify these compounds. This gene in any animal wouldn’t have survived throughout evolution, so only a couple of rare cases would experience this, yet it’s being sold as a very common condition. So either it’s true, but very, very rare, or it’s something else.

    • @RIFMAdmin
      @RIFMAdmin 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there! There are many different kinds of binders you can use but with the current literature, the most powerful binder is Cholestyramine or Welchol. After that, the next most common one is Mycobind, which is a combination of beet and okra fiber. This is a great product that Dr Hartman uses but typically is used after a patient has failed Cholestyramine or Welchol or after they've done those and they're going to be on it for a long time.

    So what if you have mycotoxin illness as well as sibo? Arent you meant to stay away from fibre if you have sibo?

    • @AaronHartmanMD
      @AaronHartmanMD  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It is very common to have chronic inflammatory response syndrome as well as SIBO and so you have to be careful. Yes, many people with SIBO have issues with fiber, but that is related to the gut bacteria. So part of treating SIBO will actually get people to be able to tolerate fiber. Fiber is nature's mycotoxin binder and we really should be getting closer to 60 to 70 grams a day. owever, if someone has SIBO they won't be able to tolerate most fiber. And so binders like activated charcoal clay, chlorella, bentonite, cholestyramine, Welchol are the main used binders. But the goal is to get the SIBO in remission so that fiber can be reintroduced.

      I would just respond to Dr. Shoemaker's statement that one of his colleagues Dr. Andrew Heyman routinely uses Curcumin with patients with CIRS and they publish the textbook together and teach it together and they have differing views on the use of curcumin. This is unfortunately common in integrative medicine, and I would not get overly concerned about this singular statement. Since curcumin has so many great uses.

      Hi @katstaff317, the issues you mentioned are some of the matters our doctors at RIFM have been addressing with our patients. Some individuals need a higher protein content and must attend to their gut, a concern that the carnivore diet can help with.
