The reason why the writers probably had red light green light again is because the writers wanted a way of gi hun to show to the other players he knows what he is doing in the games and is trying to help save their lives. Plus in the context of the show the front man probably has some games return because red light green light is a good way of taking out a lot of players and red light green light could be a favorite of the vips to watch
I don't think it'll focus on the game as much as we think it will. I think Episode 1 will give us another Red Light, Green Light moment, maybe some of the other games will be featured...but I'm expecting this season to be more focused on him trying to bring everything down...or, the twist being that he takes over as the new game runner.
