  • On this Airstream Life vLog, we head over to the Western Heritage and Cowboy Museum in the OKC.
This meeting seemed appropriate given we are heading back to our home state of Arizona. Wow, did we learn a lot! This museum was amazing!
They have everything from artifacts to fine art but everything has to do with horses, cowboys, cattle, ranches, the history of the region, Native American tribes, etc.
If you are ever in the area we highly recommend it. Plus their gift shop was AMAZING. We'd stop again just for that.
After the museum, we had to go and try some OKC BBQ after all the great BBQ we had in Kansas City. We decided to check out Earl's Rib Palace because the name alone had us hooked. While the bbq wasn't quite as good as what we had in Kansas City it was still delicious and we loved their sides! Yum!

I live in OKC and would loved to have met you. I love your videos and Steve’s photos. Thanks for sharing the Museum, Earls, and Braum’s! We have much more to see, so come back when you’re in the neighborhood!,

Ya'll seem excited to be headed, back 'home'. I find we get that way too. Not so much because we miss friends and family, because we have friends and family all over. However we miss silly things like Publix or our favorite restaurants in the area. Btw if you end up in Central Florida Johnsons BBQ is a must do. We've been traveling the country for two years and theres is still my favorite. You will have to do happy hour before or after because they dont serve alcohol.

I'm surprised that they let you film there. We went the Cowboy Museum in Wckenburg, AZ, and I was taking pictures with my SLR, (not even filming,) and I got a "dressing-down" from one of the caretakers for taking them. (felt like I was in the Principal's office. . . .)

Honestly, jealous... lol wish I were headed to Az for the winter this year, it's getting chilly here. A foreshadow of what is yet to come and we actually had about 36° a few nights ago! Yuck!! Have a safe trip and God bless. Looking fwd to more videos!🐶🐾🐾🐾

Our DD goes to college in TN (2 yrs left woohoo). Amarillo’s Big Texan is the first stop from Scottsdale for an overnighter and a steak dinner. If you stay at the RV Park they will chauffeur you to the Steakhouse in their Big Horned Cadillac. You can also boondock overnight behind the Steakhouse but you will be in a big lot with the truckers and other RV’s. We have done both. No issues either way. Enjoy your stop! Safe travels.

That museum is so impressed in my mind. It's been years. I have never forgotten the art and sculptures. Now it's so much more to see.

When we were there in March, we stayed at the Big Texan Rv park and went to the Big Texan to eat. The steak is delicious and has been for the last 35 years that I've been in there. Cadillac ranch isn't anything special anymore.
I know that you have already been there and gone.

The museum really doesn’t like kids running around like they do. The security guards will follow you around because they are afraid they will set the security alarms off.
