Sure do 😂 it’s not too bad, it took longer this time since I was doing a video on it. Normally I can those knocked out in 10-15 min or less. And I just reserve my weekends usually for it so I don’t get overwhelmed needing to keep up everyday. If we purchase this are we able to edit the categories and still have it add up the net profits for us? I am a complete beginner to spreadsheets and have no idea how to make something Luke this for myself and my side business.

Yes so I’ll include the cost of the good into my inventory section so I can copy and paste into the sales once it’s sold 🥰 but I do keep a running list of my cost of goods in the expenses section (like totals from trips). Hope that makes sense!

Yeah I have, I bought my domain name because I know I’ll eventually put it together and probably offer my spreadsheets there, whatever services I am providing, and maybe eventually some sort of reselling deals but I think I’ll keep all my items between those 3 platforms because of the audiences they attract. How did you sell a pair of shoes for 4.99 shipping? Were they over a pound? Just wondering. I’ve never been able to ship for that low of a shipping price. Thanks.
Mary Arwood Hi Mary! After packaging they were just a little over a pound but I already had printed my label and my post office accepted it. That’s one thing I don’t like about Mercari is once you’ve selected the shipping it’s set when sold you can’t really go back and change it around unlike eBay where you can put in the exact dimensions and weight and it will update price for you. I hope they change that one day! Mercari is pretty understanding too when that happens so I wouldn’t sweat it if that happens for you but Poshmark and eBay are usually my go-to platforms for shoes 🤗 hope that answers your question! You are making it more difficult than it has to be. Use accounting software like quickbooks and you will save lots of time. You can also use quickbooks to generate reports for any time period you want to track, from a week to a month or a year. It makes it so simple when it is time for taxes.
Exhausted me just watching 😆. When I do my sheets, I add my information in parts of whatever I have in front of me. If it’s eBay sales results I fill out the item, sales price, paid ship, and date. With that I have another automatic cell to total sales price and shipping, and the set % eBay fees calculated off that. Then I can go through PayPal and add all those. I do that sort of thing with every bit of info I wish to add to completion. Goes a bit faster for me. If I wish to sort, I let the application do the work like by date, sales platform or method, item prices, item identifiers, or categories. Once sorted they can easily placed into subsets of the whole to gather those totals, etc. That info can be useful to make decisions. So if I wanted to if all info was added, I can see I sold on eBay was this % of toys, % of crafting, % of kitchenware, etc with sales cost, sales prices, % profit , amount of time spent (if added), actual return on investment of $ vs time (or # of sales). As basic or exacting as you wish. If you take the effort to do the work, use it for your betterment and not just taxes. Btw check with your tax accountant with the costs of goods with selling personal items that you already owned. You may be able to take more than zero. Have fun with those numbers 😜

That would be good I think that’s one of the best ways cause you know you best and know what would work better for your tracking methods. But at the end of the day, as long as we are tracking - that is most important! LOL have you always tracked like that from the get go or how did your tracking methods evolve over time? Were you ever a pen and paper type of person? I know many people that write down everything still! It is so crazy but they make it work 🤗🎉 thanks for the tip and thanks for watching! 🥰
