They were my saviors back in December 2020, when my narcissistic ex began torturing me for nearly 6 months, they took me out of that. Took me away from that. These lyrics, their lyrics…HEALED ME FROM THE INSIDE OUT. Now the asshole is reacting to them, after he told me they sucked. Oh well, we all know people will do anything for clicks nowadays. The Warning are three sisters that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest- 17) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister 19) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest 21) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to TH-cam for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and started rehearsed for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show! The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10,000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston, Ma. USA. They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album "XXI Century Blood" in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded "Queen of the Murder Scene" and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019 they released a single, "Narcisista". A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. This was recorded live in June 2019 at Foro Didi in Monterrey Mx (their hometown) - th-cam.com/video/O7IAEhN4RMM/w-d-xo.html The Warning is totally fan-funded through Patreon, TH-cam and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever! So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid-19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lockdown was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City.This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on TH-cam and Facebook achieving well over 50,000 simultaneous viewers on March 25, 2020. They have since performed from The Warning Cave couple more times including for the city of Brownsville, Tx. for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star. On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records, a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey, USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album. After three months of recording and a month and a half of mastering, mixing and editing the third album was completed at the beginning of February, 2021. All that remains as of 22/02/21 is the album design and artwork and logistics of the release which will hopefully happen by the end of 2021. In March of 2021 The Warning was invited to cover a song from Metallica's eponymous 5th album (The Black Album) with Canadian Grammy and Juno award winning pop star Alessia Cara for Metallica's Blacklist album. A 30th anniversary celebration for the Metallica ablum. They selected to record Enter Sandman, a fitting song because it was this song that propelled The Warning 7 years previous into stardom. The Warning reimagined the song with Alessia and produced a fresh new feeling that goes above and beyond what others have done with the song... Dany (21), Pau (19), and Ale (16 here, 17 now) Villareal are from Monterey, Mexico. Pau on drums is the primary writer, but all contribute. Pau also does some lead singing from the kit as well.
Very nice reaction Anastasia. They are really not alt rock or metal. I am not a big fan of growling metal or symphonic metal, but I see where you are coming from. The Warning, in my opinion, are a Classic hard rock power trio, for us OLD rock fans. They are a familiar yet fresh take on classic 70s and 80s rock. They don't do flashy solos or "show off" kind of things. They write GREAT songs and each perform to compliment the other sisters in the band. All three sing, all three play piano, all three are masters of their instruments and all three do not know how to write a bad song. They are sisters and only ages 21, 19 and 17, and already are releasing their third album. Not one bad song yet. I hope you listen to a lot more, because they will surprise you at every turn. You've been Warned! BTW, they don't need ANYONE else in the band. You will see. ;)
It could be a while before they add any new members, seeing as their parents would need to have another kid... and then it would still take a few years before the kid could join their three older sisters on stage.

While the guitarist is the main lead singer, the drummer does sing lead on some songs, does backing vocals on most and will share lead vocals on a number of songs like another recent release, Disciple => th-cam.com/video/p9GcS8ptpCY/w-d-xo.html The bass player does sing backing vocals and will only sing lead if needed to help out if the lead singer is under the weather. And these three are all sisters, Daniela is the guitarist, age 21, Paulina is the drummer, age 19, and Alejandra is the bassist, age 17.
Adding a member ? No, not happening. What you see now is the band as it was created, and it will stay this way. It’s a sister band and the parents do not plan on adding another sibling to the family. Anyway, TW is perfect as a 3 piece, we would not have it any other way.
Great 1st time reaction to The Warning! The Villarreal sisters are amazing songwriters and performers. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "Queen of the Murder Scene", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and... It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI Century Blood", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "Escape the Mind"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group last fall. They recently decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called Mayday. "Disciple" is my favorite track! The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (civil engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English speaking school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. A year or so later, they got "real" instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 21, 19 and 17 years old and have already written and arranged #44 original songs all by themselves! The oldest, Dany (Daniela) plays guitar, keyboards, lead vocals on 75% of their songs, backing harmonies. Pau (Paulina) plays drums, keyboards, lead vocals on 25% of their songs, backing harmonies. Ale` (Alejandra) plays bass, keyboards, backing harmonies. The drummer Pau begins writing around 75% of their songs. In her songs, she starts with a concept, then works on chord progressions and basic song structure on piano while adding lyrics. She then brings it before her sisters and together they transpose each individual instrument's part; making changes along the way. They also complete the lyrics together; since Pau may only bring one verse and a chorus. All 3 must unanimously approve of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Nothing is set in stone until it makes it through the gauntlet. Pau has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both Dany and Ale` write equally great songs; just not as many. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. 🗣Thank you for your thoughts and insights. Someone once described their music as hard rock with pop sensibilities. I describe it as a blend of classic hard rock, metal, punk, and alternative, but not really falling into any one specific genre. There is also a lot of variety of styles in their 40+ original discography. Look forward to more of The Warning. 👍😎
"The singer is playing a character on stage" - I agree many musicians have stage personas (thinking of Brittney Slayes for example) and all three girls have been crafting theirs carefully. I think the three personas here - Dany (guitar), Pau (drums), and Ale (bass) - fit perfectly together and suit their real life personalities. That allows them to be authentic on stage while also protecting their mental health from the pressures of life in the spotlight. That's good because they are gonna be huge! Nice reaction!
When I first found this band in 2018, I was instantly attracted to the aspect of young people playing rock music of their own composition. As I took the time to listen to their catalogue, I quickly discovered that this was not a childish band. Their songs are varied in tempo and subject matter. Their feel for writing catchy tunes reminds me of the Brothers Gibb, while their variety reminds me of Queen. Stylistically, they are all over the map and incorporate most elements of rock and popular music. Will they take over the music world? Only time will tell, but I am along for the ride. What I love most about The Warning, is they are always true to the song. While they ALL can shred a solo when ever, they only add a solo or drum fill that FITs the song. They never interup the flow of the song to show off!

Considering your taste in music, you might be more interested to hear some of their heavier songs like Evolve, which they have a live session for or Dust to Dust where the drummer is the lead vocalist. It's their choice for mostly English songs, but also making songs in Spanish is more difficult even for them who are native speakers. It makes it more special when they make a song in Spanish, I love both Narcisista and Martirio.

I have been a heavy metal and hard rock fan for over 40years and been to more than 100 concerts over the years including over 20 To see Metallica.I first started out in 80s with Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax but I also loved Guns n Roses, Motley Crew and AC/DC. I love Nemophila and think they are the next big thing in metal but these bands are Different genres but they all go hard! I saw the Warning at Rockville Down in Florida and I can assure you these girls can go hard- check out Evolve. No growls or screams like Mayu from Nemophila but this song slaps hard and the guitar work and tempo changes are world class!! Check it out! Others have sent you the links. 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘

I love Jinjer, Infected Rain, Stitched up Heart, Butcher Babies, Five Finger Death Punch, Band Maid and Nightwish but The Warning is a band that I listen to everyday. Besides Band Maid I have to be in a certain mood to listen to the other bands. I have seen Jinjer twice met Infected Rain they are so nice. (When Sergey Babici saw that I was hurting because of my back he went and got me a chair. It was in a small venue and he came by before and after they played to see how I was doing.) And I met Butcher Babies. I'm going to see The Warning in May. Maybe in July too. Black Holes is my favorite song from them.

For range, Choke,Martirio and Disciple are good recent examples but the vocals are really treated as another instrument within the arrangement of their composition usually. Pau, the drummer, also sings lead at times. Spot on about resonance. In Martirio (which means martyr), there are moments that will touch you to your soul. They are sisters and teens still. Ale, the bass player just turned 17 and Pau will turn 20 soon. Dany is 21 soon to celebrate 22. No chance they’ll be adding another guitar. I am not in the teenage demographic. I left that several decades ago. To me, they’re a throwback to the golden age of rock with some alt influences and what truly stands out are their lyrics. Dig deeper and you’ll discover.
The Warning are about to explode into the world, they are extremely talented. They are not heavy metal, I consider them rock/hard rock. Dany and Ale play beautifully as well as Pau's fantastic drumming, Dany's vocals are strong and powerful. Their live performances are where the action is. Next, try "Evolve", "Z", or "Disciple".

Classically trained on piano in early childhood, the girls were inspired by Muse, AC/DC, Queen, Pink Floyd, Halestorm and many others. Musical prodigies who love to Rock and they all sing!

I will just say I am so happy to hear you compared them to Nightwish. Yes Dany (Lead Singer) is always singing in character, she give you the exact emotion where it needed. Marko comparison was great. I always want to see her together with Floor. Really a dream. The only bad thing would be height difference :D Also if we compare them to Nightwish think it like this: other songs will be sung by another person, but not by Marko, by Tuomas :D Yes, the drummer (Pau) is the second lead singer of The Warning. And mostly the main composer. Try "Disciple" for a duet. On another note they not a put-together or a new band. (It is normal for you to think like that of course in the first time) They are sisters and although they are so young, they are a band since 2014 (Bass player was 9) with 2 EPs and 2 LPs. They already recorded their third album and published half of it as an EP. And nope, they won't have another member, it is almost certain :) (So much for "not telling much") :)

I know this is a year old but… This band is classic rock and it’s an interesting perspective to call them alt. Maybe in your world? You’ll likely never see huge solos from any of the girls or Dany screaming or growling or using vocal gymnastics as a gimmick. Not necessary in this genre and not what this band is about. She sings mostly in her chest voice with occasional mixed. She has a helluva belt and that’s all they need and write for. Your correct about pop and hip hop dominating in the US now. It’s much easier to manufacture a band or a solo artist who can’t play an instrument and sings someone else’s songs. That’s also why the crowd at a Warning show is gonna be very mixed in ages. Us older kids gravitate to this genre because that’s what we grew up with and the younger kids have likely not experienced a band like this.
I think the "Mayday" EP is great, each song is fantastic, and shows that the sisters get better with every release. "Evolve," "Choke," "Disciple," "Z," and the Spanish language "Martirio" are the other songs and are all worth listening to. They started off quite young, playing on the video game Rock Band, and then graduated to playing real instruments. They're all skilled pianists. They started playing covers at parties and local events and stuff like that, then blew up when their cover of "Enter Sandman" started getting millions of views including from Metallica. They were on The Ellen Show where they received enough money to attend a summer music course at Berklee. A song or two of theirs would go on to be included in Rock Band, but don't ask me which ones. Their debut was an EP called "Escape the Mind," and that was followed by their album "XXI Century Blood." They released a second full album, "Queen of the Murder Scene," which is a story album that deals with surprisingly dark material. One other Spanish language song was released as a single, "Narcisista," and they debuted it live. That video is worth watching. In 2021, they released a collaboration with pop singer Alessia Cara. The song is a different arrangement of "Enter Sandman" for Metallica's "The Metallica Blacklist" cover compilation. Daniella "Dany" Villarreal is the guitarist and usual lead singer. She's also the oldest sister. Paulina "Pau" Villarreal is the drummer, middle sister, and occasional lead singer. The bass guitarist and youngest sister is Alejandra "Ale" Villarreal often sings backup, but she has taken the lead on rare, special occasions. She just turned 17, but she has her own signature Spector bass. In their older videos, Ale is tiny; her bass is bigger than her. Now she's the tallest of the three, though Pau and Dany are around 5' 1" or so. They don't need another member. I've seen them play with other people in studios here and there, but they're quite fine as is. If they ever really want a second guitarist, I'm available! I think a look at one of their older songs is in order. One of my favorite songs from these three sisters from Monterray, Mexico, is "Survive." Hi Anastasia, well! I am very impressed by your commentary and analysis. Of course the warning army (the fans) will agree with all you have said but you are spot on in many areas which is impressive for a first listen! This particular song is very solid, its got a great groove, one of my personal favourites. Most fans will say "Evolve" or "Choke" are their favourites, both these songs are particularly special. The "live" session versions are superb and I prefer them but the official music videos for these are a treat. "Disciple", another song from their Mayday EP shows off their multi singing and harmony talents. Pau, the drummer, has a super voice and does sing lead in a few songs, the best of which are "Dust to Dust" and "Narcisista" but also there are some good live performances of "Black Holes" which showcase Pau's ability to song with great emotion. Finally the collaboration with Alessia Cara on their treatment of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" from the blacklist album is nothing short of amazing and you will love the super harmonies in this.
A great band, Dany (lead singer) is all about passion. She calls it acting with the voice. Please check out songs like Choke or Martirio for her range. Then their song ‘Z’ for an awesome guitar solo. Pau (the drummer) sings lead in certain songs and she has a really nice voice too. She doesn’t have a high range like Dany but again it’s amazing in a different way. Ale (the bassist) although she doesn’t sing lead often but in one or two songs that she does sing live you’ll see she kills it too. It’s rare to find a band where all 3 has the capability of doing lead. I don’t think they will add another member, I mean why would they? They are sisters and it’s too late for their parents to have another child 😂
I'm not a kid, well maybe at heart I am, but this is the first band I've been interested in since I saw Def Leppard in 1981. Actually, this band attracts many, umm, "older" fans because of the classic rock sound these girls produce. Their more modern form of hard rock includes other elements but at its core it still has a 70s-80s vibe to it. Try another, you'll find they are not formulaic in their song structure, in fact, they are full of surprises.
I don't know if they will add another member. They're tree sisters out of Mexico. Ale on bass just turned 17 so they are super young. Check out their cover of Enter Sandman, either the one from 8 years ago or the recent one they did for Metallica's celebration album last year.

Check out one of their latest songs called Disciple with an excellent music video or the song Dust to dust where the drumner sings lead vocals .A good point made by you about attracting a young audience , if only we can ween them off rap and crappy pop music , Lol.
In every song of their's you will hear a synthesis of completely different influences and yet a sound that is distinctly their own. So in that sense each song is something of lie of what the next song will sound like. I hope you like surprises! Their performance and arrangements are always 100% in service of the song. For example this is one of the very few songs Ale uses a pick for on bass, and about the "quietest" Pau is on drums. For some very different approaches from their current EP suggest you try Martirio for a more epic sound (a rare Spanish song by them), or Evolve for a harder edged intensity. Or from the Blacklist album, try Enter Sandman to see them completely reinvent a classic and make it their own.
I understand your comments about your preference in music genres but whatever the genre there is no mistaking true talent. These 3 young sisters from Mexico are not a new band. They have been playing together as The Warning for 8 years now. Even 8 years ago in the viral video of Enter Sandman (23M views) at the tender ages of 9/12 and 14 their talents were prevalent. You should check that video out and then check out Enter sandman 2021 when they done a rendition of this song after an invite from Metallica to do so on their Blacklist album. Other song listed here in your comments are great starting points and I really appreciate you saying that you will take the time to discover some more music from The Warning even though Animosity was not your preference. Who knows, after a few songs you may become a fan.🤘
'New' is relative. They're new to the general public, or even the general rock public broadly conceived. :) In terms of songs, as we know, they're varied - and there are TW fans who weren't grabbed by the initial songs they heard but were eventually won over!

Dany (lead vox and guitar) is nearly 23, Pau (drums and lead/backing vox) is almost 21, and Ale (bass backing vox) just turned 18. These girls have already toured with Halestorm, The Pretty Wreckless, Foo Fighters, and many others. They are technically already international stars, and being so young with 3 albums and 2 EPs with a large army of fans says it all. Just the other day they were told by their manager Rudy they are opening for Muse. That band right there is the one band they have ALWAYS strived to tour with, and it's happening in just a few days from now in their home city of Monterrey Mexico. As far as I am concerned they are headline material and should be the closing band. The Lima Peru concert (their final before Christmas 2022) was absolutely the best. The crowd was in it from start to finish (sorry US fans but you have a hell of a lot to learn about crowd energy, because statues you are far too often!!!). It was so intense that Pau was nearly (if not was) in tears as she was thanking the audience between songs. This band will be bigger than Metallica and Iron Maiden and you can mark my words! It’s not just young fans, in fact a lot of their long time fan base is older(50s, 60s)
The Warning are three sisters that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest- 17) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister 19) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest 21) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band.
They had been uploading their musical journey to TH-cam for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and started rehearsed for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show! The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10,000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston, Ma. USA.
They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album "XXI Century Blood" in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded "Queen of the Murder Scene" and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues.
In June of 2019 they released a single, "Narcisista". A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. The Warning is totally fan-funded through Patreon, TH-cam and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever!
So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid-19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lockdown was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City.This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on TH-cam and Facebook achieving well over 50,000 simultaneous viewers on March 25, 2020. They have since performed from The Warning Cave couple more times including for the city of Brownsville, Tx. for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star.
On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records, a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey, USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album. After three months of recording and a month and a half of mastering, mixing and editing the third album was completed at the beginning of February, 2021. All that remains as of 22/02/21 is the album design and artwork and logistics of the release which will hopefully happen by the end of 2021.
In March of 2021 The Warning was invited to cover a song from Metallica's eponymous 5th album (The Black Album) with Canadian Grammy and Juno award winning pop star Alessia Cara for Metallica's Blacklist album. A 30th anniversary celebration for the Metallica ablum. They selected to record Enter Sandman, a fitting song because it was this song that propelled The Warning 7 years previous into stardom. The Warning reimagined the song with Alessia and produced a fresh new feeling that goes above and beyond what others have done with the song...

On October 8th, 2021, The Warning released six songs that were recorded for the new album on an EP titled Mayday with the remaining 6 song to be released at a later date.

Dany (21), Pau (19), and Ale (16 here, 17 now) Villareal are from Monterey, Mexico. Pau on drums is the primary writer, but all contribute. Pau also does some lead singing from the kit as well.
Very nice reaction Anastasia. They are really not alt rock or metal. I am not a big fan of growling metal or symphonic metal, but I see where you are coming from. The Warning, in my opinion, are a Classic hard rock power trio, for us OLD rock fans. They are a familiar yet fresh take on classic 70s and 80s rock. They don't do flashy solos or "show off" kind of things. They write GREAT songs and each perform to compliment the other sisters in the band. All three sing, all three play piano, all three are masters of their instruments and all three do not know how to write a bad song. They are sisters and only ages 21, 19 and 17, and already are releasing their third album. Not one bad song yet. I hope you listen to a lot more, because they will surprise you at every turn. You've been Warned!

It could be a while before they add any new members, seeing as their parents would need to have another kid... and then it would still take a few years before the kid could join their three older sisters on stage.

Choke & Martirio for Dany's vocals, Martirio & Z for guitar virtuoso stuff, Narcisista (more guitar) & Dust to Dust for Pau/Drummer on lead vocals, and Evolve for outrageous drum and fills. They have a lot of music out there, both MVs and live performances.

Great 1st time reaction to The Warning! The Villarreal sisters are amazing songwriters and performers. Each one of their original songs is great. They recently decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called Mayday. "Disciple" is my favorite track!
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (civil engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English speaking school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. A year or so later, they got "real" instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 21, 19 and 17 years old and have already written and arranged #44 original songs all by themselves! The oldest, Dany (Daniela) plays guitar, keyboards, lead vocals on 75% of their songs, backing harmonies. Pau (Paulina) plays drums, keyboards, lead vocals on 25% of their songs, backing harmonies. Ale` (Alejandra) plays bass, keyboards, backing harmonies. The drummer Pau begins writing around 75% of their songs. In her songs, she starts with a concept, then works on chord progressions and basic song structure on piano while adding lyrics. She then brings it before her sisters and together they transpose each individual instrument's part; making changes along the way. They also complete the lyrics together; since Pau may only bring one verse and a chorus. All 3 must unanimously approve of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Nothing is set in stone until it makes it through the gauntlet. Pau has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both Dany and Ale` write equally great songs; just not as many. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. 🗣Thank you for your thoughts and insights.

Someone once described their music as hard rock with pop sensibilities. I describe it as a blend of classic hard rock, metal, punk, and alternative, but not really falling into any one specific genre. There is also a lot of variety of styles in their 40+ original discography. Look forward to more of The Warning.

"The singer is playing a character on stage" - I agree many musicians have stage personas (thinking of Brittney Slayes for example) and all three girls have been crafting theirs carefully. I think the three personas here - Dany (guitar), Pau (drums), and Ale (bass) - fit perfectly together and suit their real life personalities. That allows them to be authentic on stage while also protecting their mental health from the pressures of life in the spotlight. That's good because they are gonna be huge!

When I first found this band in 2018, I was instantly attracted to the aspect of young people playing rock music of their own composition. As I took the time to listen to their catalogue, I quickly discovered that this was not a childish band. Their songs are varied in tempo and subject matter. Their feel for writing catchy tunes reminds me of the Brothers Gibb, while their variety reminds me of Queen. Stylistically, they are all over the map and incorporate most elements of rock and popular music. Will they take over the music world? Only time will tell, but I am along for the ride. I adore these sisters and their music. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

What I love most about The Warning, is they are always true to the song. While they ALL can shred a solo when ever, they only add a solo or drum fill that FITs the song. They never interup the flow of the song to show off!

Considering your taste in music, you might be more interested to hear some of their heavier songs like Evolve, which they have a live session for or Dust to Dust where the drummer is the lead vocalist. They have pro shot live recordings of pretty much all their songs on their official TH-cam channel.

They're from Monterrey , MX, and are currently 21, 19, and 17 respectively. They are one of the best things that's happened to rock in the last 30 years IMHO, and I've been into it since the 1970's.😉 Surprisingly, (by their choice), they only have 2 Spanish language songs, and both of them are fantastic! 🤘😎🤘
It's their choice for mostly English songs, but also making songs in Spanish is more difficult even for them who are native speakers. It makes it more special when they make a song in Spanish, I love both Narcisista and Martirio.

I have been a heavy metal and hard rock fan for over 40years and been to more than 100 concerts over the years including over 20 To see Metallica.I first started out in 80s with Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax but I also loved Guns n Roses, Motley Crew and AC/DC. I love Nemophila and think they are the next big thing in metal but these bands are Different genres but they all go hard! I saw the Warning at Rockville Down in Florida and I can assure you these girls can go hard- check out Evolve. I love Jinjer, Infected Rain, Stitched up Heart, Butcher Babies, Five Finger Death Punch, Band Maid and Nightwish but The Warning is a band that I listen to everyday. Besides Band Maid I have to be in a certain mood to listen to the other bands. I have seen Jinjer twice met Infected Rain they are so nice. (When Sergey Babici saw that I was hurting because of my back he went and got me a chair. It was in a small venue and he came by before and after they played to see how I was doing.) And I met Butcher Babies. I'm going to see The Warning in May. Maybe in July too. Black Holes is my favorite song from them.

For range, Choke,Martirio and Disciple are good recent examples but the vocals are really treated as another instrument within the arrangement of their composition usually. Pau, the drummer, also sings lead at times. Spot on about resonance. In Martirio (which means martyr), there are moments that will touch you to your soul.
They are sisters and teens still. Ale, the bass player just turned 17 and Pau will turn 20 soon. Dany is 21 soon to celebrate 22. No chance they’ll be adding another guitar.
I am not in the teenage demographic. I left that several decades ago. To me, they’re a throwback to the golden age of rock with some alt influences and what truly stands out are their lyrics. Dig deeper and you’ll discover.

The Warning are about to explode into the world, they are extremely talented. They are not heavy metal, I consider them rock/hard rock. Dany and Ale play beautifully as well as Pau's fantastic drumming, Dany's vocals are strong and powerful. Their live performances are where the action is. Next, try "Evolve", "Z", or "Disciple".

Classically trained on piano in early childhood, the girls were inspired by Muse, AC/DC, Queen, Pink Floyd, Halestorm and many others. Musical prodigies who love to Rock and they all sing!

I was waiting for you to listen to them for so long, I bothered you a few times with them :) I won't tell much about the band as my "comrades" from TW Army have already explained much. I will just say I am so happy to hear you compared them to Nightwish. Yes Dany (Lead Singer) is always singing in character, she give you the exact emotion where it needed. Marko comparison was great. I always want to see her together with Floor. Really a dream. The only bad thing would be height difference :D Also if we compare them to Nightwish think it like this: other songs will be sung by another person, but not by Marko, by Tuomas :D Yes, the drummer (Pau) is the second lead singer of The Warning. And mostly the main composer. Try "Disciple" for a duet.
On another note they not a put-together or a new band. (It is normal for you to think like that of course in the first time) They are sisters and although they are so young, they are a band since 2014 (Bass player was 9) with 2 EPs and 2 LPs. They already recorded their third album and published half of it as an EP. And nope, they won't have another member, it is almost certain :) (So much for "not telling much") :)

I know this is a year old but…
This band is classic rock and it’s an interesting perspective to call them alt. Maybe in your world?
You’ll likely never see huge solos from any of the girls or Dany screaming or growling or using vocal gymnastics as a gimmick. Not necessary in this genre and not what this band is about. She sings mostly in her chest voice with occasional mixed. She has a helluva belt and that’s all they need and write for.
Your correct about pop and hip hop dominating in the US now. It’s much easier to manufacture a band or a solo artist who can’t play an instrument and sings someone else’s songs.
That’s also why the crowd at a Warning show is gonna be very mixed in ages. Us older kids gravitate to this genre because that’s what we grew up with and the younger kids have likely not experienced a band like this.
I think the "Mayday" EP is great, each song is fantastic, and shows that the sisters get better with every release. "Evolve," "Choke," "Disciple," "Z," and the Spanish language "Martirio" are the other songs and are all worth listening to. They started off quite young, playing on the video game Rock Band, and then graduated to playing real instruments. They're all skilled pianists. They started playing covers at parties and local events and stuff like that, then blew up when their cover of "Enter Sandman" started getting millions of views including from Metallica. They were on The Ellen Show where they received enough money to attend a summer music course at Berklee. A song or two of theirs would go on to be included in Rock Band, but don't ask me which ones.
Their debut was an EP called "Escape the Mind," and that was followed by their album "XXI Century Blood." They released a second full album, "Queen of the Murder Scene," which is a story album that deals with surprisingly dark material. One other Spanish language song was released as a single, "Narcisista," and they debuted it live. That video is worth watching. In 2021, they released a collaboration with pop singer Alessia Cara. The song is a different arrangement of "Enter Sandman" for Metallica's "The Metallica Blacklist" cover compilation.
Daniella "Dany" Villarreal is the guitarist and usual lead singer. She's also the oldest sister. Paulina "Pau" Villarreal is the drummer, middle sister, and occasional lead singer. The bass guitarist and youngest sister is Alejandra "Ale" Villarreal often sings backup, but she has taken the lead on rare, special occasions. She just turned 17, but she has her own signature Spector bass. In their older videos, Ale is tiny; her bass is bigger than her. Now she's the tallest of the three, though Pau and Dany are around 5' 1" or so.
They don't need another member. I've seen them play with other people in studios here and there, but they're quite fine as is. If they ever really want a second guitarist, I'm available!

Hi Anastasia, well! I am very impressed by your commentary and analysis. Of course the warning army (the fans) will agree with all you have said but you are spot on in many areas which is impressive for a first listen! This particular song is very solid, its got a great groove, one of my personal favourites. Most fans will say "Evolve" or "Choke" are their favourites, both these songs are particularly special. The "live" session versions are superb and I prefer them but the official music videos for these are a treat. "Disciple", another song from their Mayday EP shows off their multi singing and harmony talents. Pau, the drummer, has a super voice and does sing lead in a few songs, the best of which are "Dust to Dust" and "Narcisista" but also there are some good live performances of "Black Holes" which showcase Pau's ability to song with great emotion.
Finally the collaboration with Alessia Cara on their treatment of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" from the blacklist album is nothing short of amazing and you will love the super harmonies in this.

A great band, Dany (lead singer) is all about passion. She calls it acting with the voice. Please check out songs like Choke or Martirio for her range. Then their song ‘Z’ for an awesome guitar solo. Pau (the drummer) sings lead in certain songs and she has a really nice voice too. She doesn’t have a high range like Dany but again it’s amazing in a different way. Ale (the bassist) although she doesn’t sing lead often but in one or two songs that she does sing live you’ll see she kills it too. It’s rare to find a band where all 3 has the capability of doing lead. I don’t think they will add another member, I mean why would they? They are sisters and it’s too late for their parents to have another child 😂
I'm not a kid, well maybe at heart I am, but this is the first band I've been interested in since I saw Def Leppard in 1981. Actually, this band attracts many, umm, "older" fans because of the classic rock sound these girls produce. Their more modern form of hard rock includes other elements but at its core it still has a 70s-80s vibe to it. Try another, you'll find they are not formulaic in their song structure, in fact, they are full of surprises.
My favorite of their live performances is their cover of Metalica's "Atlas Rise" at the Whiskey A Go Go.

Check out one of their latest songs called Disciple with an excellent music video or the song Dust to dust where the drumner sings lead vocals .A good point made by you about attracting a young audience , if only we can ween them off rap and crappy pop music , Lol.
In every song of their's you will hear a synthesis of completely different influences and yet a sound that is distinctly their own. So in that sense each song is something of lie of what the next song will sound like. I hope you like surprises! Their performance and arrangements are always 100% in service of the song. For example this is one of the very few songs Ale uses a pick for on bass, and about the "quietest" Pau is on drums. For some very different approaches from their current EP suggest you try Martirio for a more epic sound (a rare Spanish song by them), or Evolve for a harder edged intensity. Or from the Blacklist album, try Enter Sandman to see them completely reinvent a classic and make it their own.

I understand your comments about your preference in music genres but whatever the genre there is no mistaking true talent. These 3 young sisters from Mexico are not a new band. They have been playing together as The Warning for 8 years now. Even 8 years ago in the viral video of Enter Sandman (23M views) at the tender ages of 9/12 and 14 their talents were prevalent. You should check that video out and then check out Enter sandman 2021 when they done a rendition of this song after an invite from Metallica to do so on their Blacklist album.
Other song listed here in your comments are great starting points and I really appreciate you saying that you will take the time to discover some more music from The Warning even though Animosity was not your preference. Who knows, after a few songs you may become a fan.🤘

In terms of songs, as we know, they're varied - and there are TW fans who weren't grabbed by the initial songs they heard but were eventually won over!

Dany (lead vox and guitar) is nearly 23, Pau (drums and lead/backing vox) is almost 21, and Ale (bass backing vox) just turned 18. These girls have already toured with Halestorm, The Pretty Wreckless, Foo Fighters, and many others. They are technically already international stars, and being so young with 3 albums and 2 EPs with a large army of fans says it all. Just the other day they were told by their manager Rudy they are opening for Muse. That band right there is the one band they have ALWAYS strived to tour with, and it's happening in just a few days from now in their home city of Monterrey Mexico. As far as I am concerned they are headline material and should be the closing band. The Lima Peru concert (their final before Christmas 2022) was absolutely the best. The crowd was in it from start to finish (sorry US fans but you have a hell of a lot to learn about crowd energy, because statues you are far too often!!!). It was so intense that Pau was nearly (if not was) in tears as she was thanking the audience between songs. This band will be bigger than Metallica and Iron Maiden and you can mark my words!
