    The first time I watch Chris letsdig18 who was working at a golf course on a cart Trail he was removing landscape timbers that line the trail and it took me a minute to figure out what he was doing it was pulling spikes out of the landscape timbers with the pocket and thumb on a mini excavator I was impressed so much that I think I've watched every episode since👍👍

    Folks just don't understand how wasteful it is to have a wild, overgrown thicket of trees. They get so crowded that they race to grow tall competing for sunlight and never get to grow thick so you end up with a gaggle of useless trees that are all tops and no lumber. Which means the mills want tree farm trees since they maintain the spacing for maximum lumber growth. Wild thickets are just oversize weeds.

    I have really enjoyed your land transformation of this property from useless scrubby marsh to the treasure we see today. And getting to see more is wonderful. I also appreciate seeing your maintenance. It's a great reminder of the expenses you incur doing this much needed work. Thanks for bringing us along, Chris.

      you can only do that in America. Here in Austria you have to plant a new one for every tree that is felled!!! Life here in Europe is no longer fun... so millions of people will emigrate to the USA in the next few years 🤷‍♂️🍻.

    Like I've said before taking care of you're equipment is key to good job
    But the best is operator who knows an loves his work an Chris
    Does both
    Equipment management isn't cheap Chris makes money because he spends money on the
    Right things
    He is always ready for next job
    Because his equipment is always in top shape
    He didn't just do it over nite
    He could teach his trade to others
    Thats why I keep saying he needs to hire a helper / apprentice
    It would take lots of the load off Chris

    • @snappingbear
      @snappingbear ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Vickie-Bligh True to a degree, but that 977K would tear out a lot of the stumps without too much trouble. Chris has already shown a couple of videos of Betty clearing big stumps as well as much bigger trees than the little pecker poles in those thickets. But all that aside, as I posted, it would be hella fun to see her or the D6 plow right through them. However, I know it's not economical to move those machines just for entertainment purposes.

    Hey Chris, noticed your truck in the background. I have the exact same truck and put the same bed on. The exhaust tips and angle are made for a pickup bed. Mine did a regen and fried the wiring that’s right behind the little red reflector, blowing the clearance light breaker for the bed. I had an exhaust shop change the angle of the tips and extended them out flush. Might be worth checking on.

      @@BealyGoodhave you looked into an industrial shredder (not chipper)? If you could get all that shredded fine enough, it shouldn't take more that a year to fully decompose. I do it on a smaller scale. I get truck loads of woodchips from a local arborist, then I run them through my shredder with a fine screen. Beautiful compost in about 6 months. Also, those tree roots make some of the best compost material.
