Sure **technically** you could do a lot of stuff, but if you try to make a a button then you've got to jump through hoops to make it WCAG compliant. It's just not something you should ever do if you can help it.
Funny how you mentioned building a button with a div and class. Im not gonna lie I did the same thing.. LOL Just a heads up theres a popular course by Brad Traversy and he uses classes for buttons. His reasoning is he kinda creates his own frame work by creating a whole bunch of classes in the beginning and uses the classes while hes building the project..
I have taught myself since the pandemic. I don't think I'm ready as it is hard to grasp javascript.
