I'm still using the original head, but I imagine I'll need to replace that soon because even the best blades won't last forever. I apply a little clipper oil to the blades before every third or fourth session and it just keeps purring. I did replace the spacers/tubes/guides things, whatever they're called, because the originals got brittle and broke, but they're not expensive.

I've had so many people make fun of me for using it but if you look at the roughly $800 I've saved a year over the last 30+ years of cutting my hair and my kids that's over $24,000 and probably over $30K now. It has more than paid for itself. When we built our new house I put in a FB haircutting station with a central vacuum connection. My kids bring the grandkids over now for a new generation of FB haircuts.
I'm here because my original Flowbee just broke down! I see Clooney's got the original Flowbee like the one I have. My son is now 14, and he's been Flowbeed all of his life. He's gone to the barber twice as far as I can remember. Saved thousands of dollars.

I use my upright, disconnect the hose and lay it down so the beater brush doesn't wear a spot in the floor.

I was thinking to buy a new one but goodness me the price almost tripled (still remember I payed 12,800 yens or around 100 U$ bucks back then.) I mean even inflation-adjusted it can't be something this simple would cost this much. I tried other similar cutting devices but nothing compares to Flowbee.
I imagine that soon, there will be Flowbee 2.0 with improved blades and system. Many people laugh at inventors on their weirdest ideas, but keep in mind... its those 'weird' inventors who managed to shape the future and then they suddenly called to be genius.
Ill give George how you can do this, you go outside on a windy day and get the trimmers.....the birds will use the hair according to some movie i saw as a kid

My only complaint is how loud it is. My new vacuum is also unnecessarily loud. I don't know why they can't make both of these items much quieter.
