The Saddlemen Dominator Extended Reach solo seat is a game changer and riding my 2019 Road King is vastly more enjoyable! This quality seat moves my position noticeably aft, does NOT force me to constantly slide into the gas tank and allows for more sitting positions ( than the stock H.D. seat ) during a long ride, which equates to vastly increased comfort, increased enjoyment and less overall fatigue. The "gel" inserts cushion your butt and spine from enough road shock, to the extent that even the most intolerably bumpy stretch of highway that i often use, is now a fairly decent ride and i don't look for ways to circumvent it.
The backrest is not only a "back saver", but it increases riding comfort and overall enjoyment. My line of sight is a bit higher now, because I no longer slouch.
Riding without the windscreen is vastly more enjoyable with the backrest, which is very sturdy.
This is a high quality, comfortable seat which is firmer ( and beefier ) than a stock HD seat which is a good thing! With moto seats... firmer is better.

I love Saddleman. I put the extended reach road sofa on my road king. A world of difference.
I am undecided between the renegade LS or the dominator. I have a 2012 Road King.
I am only 5.11 but have legs of the short, thick type (think tree trunks) so a lower, narrow seat which is better than the stock garbage is my goal.
Hard to find any users with a renegade on a touring model.

Great video! Is there a reason why you went with the extended reach as opposed to the standard seat? Did it affect your riding position?
It definitely moved me back a couple inches, as advertised, which is what I definitely wanted because I like leg-room. That said, it's a bit more of a reach to the handlebars for practicing very tight Uturns... 14.5' - 17' where I want to lock the handle bars. OTW, I still love this saddle... especially the back rest with more than 5000 miles in that seat since making this video. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
Thanks for the video. I have a 2014 HD Road King with a 16" ape hanger handlebar. I'm 6 feet tall. Would you recommend me the extended or the regular seat?
With stock handlebars, I am as far aft as I'd want to be at 6' tall. Having never knowingly used the 16" apes, I can only guess that it might be a long reach with this EXTENDED Solo seat. But if you can tilt those apes back a couple inches, that should solve it.

33,000 miles on that seat and it's still great 👍 My former 2019 FLHR is now 2021 FLHXS . Get the backrest!

Yes... you'll be @ an inch lower and @ 2" further aft.
This seat is the biggest reason why I still ride.
After 2 years, what are your thoughts on this seat? I've got mine on order for my RG and am looking forward to not being locked into a single position.
Still loving it after 30k+ miles on two Harleys! Back rest is a no go item.

I have no experience with the road sofa. This Saddlemen seat is now on my Street Glide Special, and with 30,000 on it, it's still a great looking seat and still feels great.
The road sofa is a great seat! Especially if you have a passenger. Im looking into this seat for solo rides
Hello, I have a black '18 RK and your seat looks so great I'm thinking seriously about getting one for mine. Does the back rest pad adjust forward and back as well as up and down?
Not forward and back. You can't go wrong !

@Mrnapussy they advertise it as EXTENDED REACH and it is definitely! I am 6' and it's a slight reach to my highway pegs so I get a good stretch.
Is this the lowest position of the backrest? I doubt between SDC with backrest (mini) and this set?!
Not the lowest setting !
I am on my 3rd harley touring with this seat and still love it after 40k miles of riding.
How long did it take for you to receive the seat ?
