It's spring in Ireland. Wicked wet but it's actually fascinating how similar Ireland and new Zealand are. Albeit mountains and farms are similar. Our 2 countries really feed the world....
Rescuing a kitten from a tree, is a bit like teaching a duckling how to swim . . . lots of water pressure up so high. Great video, welcome back . . . cheers.
Hello I have just started to watch your videos and I am enjoying them very much ….i am a ex dairy farm here in the uk …fat lamb price here has been the best ever …the average pence per kg last week in Carlisle Cumbrian was £2.66 with a top price of £3.75 but these prices have eased back in price …..keep up the good work
Gidday, seeing you pick those field mushrooms made my mouth water, as a kid back in the 50s at Utiku we would gather field mushrooms and sell them to passing travelers on the main road, ( state highway one) for a Penney a pound, great dayslove you show. Cheers
I was wondering where I had seen that ladder before, post office, ha ha ha ha, but electricity board, well done mate, the cat obviously knew that you would save her. 😊.
Welcome back and absolutely another spectacular beautiful shooting filming footage compilation and a very interesting video to watch and thanks again ..
Those water fittings if you screw the coupling out but not fully you can slide the pipe inside without taking everything apart and they will line up perfectly and you won’t get wet or lose the o ring.
What breed of rams are you using this year. In the UK wee would say blackberry's are the last fruit before winter. £410 / 500 liters for red diesel. Not sure New Zealand prices. R3 hoggets 700-710p /22kg dead wieght Keep well!
How come you didn’t set the new water trough next to the fence, so the cattle couldn’t stand on the inlet pipe. Or do you want 360 degree access to trough?

Only just found your channel. Not from a farming background but love and appreciate all you farmers. We are all fed by farmers. Great video.
Thanks very much
@@kiwifarmernz I am from Scotland.
You're both getting really good at describing what you're doing and why but staying natural. I'm learning heaps.
Endless scenery up the hills. Your missus is a bloody card behind the camera 🤣🤣
my background is in dairy but I enjoy watching 'your side of the fence'
Thanks Mate
28:00 always love the banter your wife brings. Classics

They are so good. Fresh off the paddock.

Lovely to see you both working together. Some jobs can be lonely jobs. 🇳🇿

My background is dairy and beef.
Sending you positive vibes from Cornwall uk England. Thanks.
Awesome! Thank you!
The boss should have shouted across vally (dont get pricked😂) when releasing ewe😂😂😂😂
She would do too. 😃
Go go go, typical Kiwi farmer. Good-on-ya ;)
Looking good 👍

Great job on the water trough guys, that mist stopped us getting the view today.

I knew that ladder would come in handy for something. Probably hasn't been used for 20 years!!
Welcome back home neighbour. Hope you learnt heaps in Japan.
Definitely. It was an amazing experience
Hi I like your video
Steak and mushrooms for lunch 😋.
Excuse the ignorance probably said it all before, how is the pressure so good so high up what are you pumping with great vid.
It's a gravity setup with about 100m of head pushing down on the trough.
send some rain down here!!

We are sitting around an average of $2 ltr for diesel. Cheaper on farm delivery/ truck stops
South Suffolk rams for terminal and a Kelso composite for the maternal
Not many blackberries around there day mate, 😢.
Have you ever designed a corral that could handle cattle and sheep?
No but essentially they are the same but have more rails. You could have a small drafting race off to the side just for sheep
@@kiwifarmernzI sent you a message on Instagram with an idea if you're interested
what do you do with the crutchings in the yards?
If it's like our farm you tip it over the bank. Wool is a net cost now. Daggy crutchings are good mulch for around young ornamental trees on the farm.
Use it around young trees but otherwise it goes into a hole . Quite sad really
@@kiwifarmernz Cheers ;)
Do you think that Hansen ballcock will last with that pressure. Ours and cracking and failing within months
Interesting. I haven't had one fail yet. This trough would be the most pressure on the whole line so we will see.
How come you didn’t set the new water trough next to the fence, so the cattle couldn’t stand on the inlet pipe. Or do you want 360 degree access to trough?
So the neighbours cows don't push through the deer fence to get to the water
Never put troughs on the fence line unless it’s internal. Nobody likes giving free water to the neighbours 😂
@@kiwifarmernz Ahh. Didn't realise it was a boundary fence.
Technology has its own mind on what it will or won’t do…
O’h ffs what else do they want to know, how many times the sheep or cows fart and burp?
Hey, I'm a dirty dairy farmer 🤣🤣🤣
