??? wym lol he did, he wrote it for CeeLo, this is a colab Jon just doesn't like having his name on big songs cause he likes to stay small. I dont see whats wrong with that and why you have to be a ass about it though lmao
I don't think this song is only a tribute to Williams. I think he is using him as a metaphor for attempting to appreciate life and give people a break, because we never really know what those people are dealing with. Beautiful.
I know its soo damn hard 2 watch his stuff without tearing up, and when i heard on the news he died i didnt talk 2 anyone for 3 days straight, rip one of the best comedic giants/geniuses.
Robin was the reason I started doing stand up. I also suffer from depression. As a kid when I had my low moments, watching Aladdin or Mrs. Doubtfire always helped bring me back up. When I got older, I discovered his stand up and no matter how many times I listened to it or watched it on youtube or on DVD, I never reached the end without smiling at least once. He helped me forget my pain, even if only for a moment. He helped bring joy not only to me, not just to his fans, but to countless others going through the same thing. I wish I was able to thank him in person, but the best I can do until my time comes is to help keep spreading the joy and the laughter he brought to me. O Captain, my captain, you are sorely missed. RIP Robin Williams and Happy Birthday.
Same here, that man is my inspiration, my hero, and my source of humor, if it weren’t for him I’d never do stand up, and I probably wouldn’t be as happy
This is, I think, the only song I've ever heard that makes me cry every single time. Specially since my brother committed suicide a year and a half ago. As a person who has lost someone to suicide and suffers from depression, If you are reading this, I appreciate you, I feel you, you are never alone, even when you feel you are, you are loved.
This song captures Robin Williams's spirit so beautifully. He was caring and always wanted others to be happy. It's sad to think he's gone. He lived in my town for a period of time. I was too young to remember it, but everyone who met him still talks about how kindhearted and loving he was. He would talk to anyone who wanted to and I'm told he was a great addition to the community. He is absolutely one of my heroes. Thank you, Robin, for your legacy. Oh Captain, my Captain.
You can feel Jon Bellion here (writer). Such an amazing song. Love it. Robin Williams and Jon are such big inspirations of me and my videos. Love this so much.
+JayDanielsTV yeah I wish to, but he doesn't really care about recognition, he just makes music because he loves it. Thats one of the greatest things about him
"Phil Hartman, Can you hear me? Robin, can you hear me?" --Cee Lo Green This whole song is amazing in lyrics, Cee's gorgeous voice and his big heart. Wow. Love you, Cee Lo. Thank you for this powerful tribute.
I love this, such a touching Tribute RIP Robin Williams. "We dont know what the next mans going through, wish I could say it in a better way, I say we dont know life reminds me of Robin Williams, we've got to laugh the pain away" people should keep that line in mind when they think of others or bystanders on the street it is true that you never know what they are going through, a death in the family, a divorce, breakup in a relationship etc. We never know what the next person is going through and it doesnt help that some make the situation worse than it needs to be, everyone has there demons that they deal with, everyone has problems from time to time, and everyone has issues that they deal with, whether it be emotional, physical or mental distress it is your capacity to deal appropriately with that situation and look at it in a different yet positive light, it does not matter what the next man says about you, him, or her, all that matters is how you feel about yourself and you as your own person, who cares what anyone else thinks. What truly matters is you and your heart, not the people that ridicule you or put you down, you never know what people are going through until you have been through it yourself and walked a mile in someone else's shoes and seen and felt what they have been through and I think in a way Robin taught us all that, that what others say about you as a person doesn't matter, it doesn't matter about what's 'up here or 'down there' what matters is you and your heart and how you feel about yourself when you go to sleep at night. You see the concept of judgement isn't relevant, but the reality is we all do it, whether mentally or in physical form, we are all guilty of something, its the matter of simply how we come to terms with what we are guilty of that matters and coming to the intersection on that road is not going to be easy but its worth it in the end, you cannot live this life without a struggle and without a fight for what you believe in and what you stand for it just doesn't work that way and if someone told us that it was easy being who we are, thats a lie, because its not easy sometimes and I get it its hard coming to terms with that but the fact of the matter is that its not that simple, you see everyone has struggles, and everyone has pain, its not easy, saying that it would is a complete and utter understatement, and sometimes "we don't know what the next man's going through, wish I could say it in a better way yeah we don't know life reminds me of Robin Williams you've got to laugh the pain away".....and when your reaching for the sky, with hope for a better day, sometimes you just need someone right beside you, to help you laugh the pain away. Rest In Peace Robin Williams.
It's crazy how Jon's style is so different that you can actually hear him in the songs he produces for other people. First time i heard "trumpets" by jason derulo i knew bellion was behind it. When i hear this song all i hear is jon from the instrumentation to the vocals..the world needs to stop sleeping on beautiful mind.
Chase21Dillard Right? when I heard trumpets, I was like man this sounds so much like one of Jons song then I later found out that he co-wrote and co-produced it. crazy.
+David Upshaw I cant - this is not his style of singing but other dj's like zedd are showing Jon how to sing differently. and did you see Jon's name once in the info above? So why defy his wishes and mention him?
when he died, unconditional happiness disappeared from the world..thanks cee lo for keeping his legendery status up there..i dont believe the public have had closure either..
U dont get over it, it was like when tupac was shot, or when elvis died,or kobain shot himself, its was devastatingly heart wrenching, rip rob williams.
I first heard this song in prison.. My mom played it for me through the phone and it tore off all the evil inside me, and i could literally feel it being striped off of my soul.. It was powerfull..Im out now and work hard to make a living.. (Wich I never have done in the past) but My point is, I wonder if CeeLo even knows that he helped a convict and a criminal change his whole life with just this one song, and I never was a fan of him before this song.. CeeLo YOU Are a Hero... Very inspirational...
Cee Lo, that was beautiful. Robin Williams was one of my favorite people, and it hurt deeply when he passed. You're an amazing artist. Thank you for this.
I was the first to upload this song..only because I thought it was so beautiful that it needed to be shared with the world right away. I'm glad that CeeLo uploaded it.
I remember when I heard Robin Williams died I felt sad for countless days.To me he isn't dead because his memory still lives on bright as a star. -----R.I.P. Robin Williams-----
The production reminds me of early 2000s music. Which is a good thing. Cee Lo always puts out great music and I sure hope this blows up. The message deserves to be heard. It took me 4 listens for me to realize he said "Bernie can you hear me" RIP to all the great talent in this song.
If you like the production look up Jon bellion. He produced and co wrote this track. He makes his own music which is amazing production wise, although his lyrisicm a little shallow
Cee Lo gets overlooked too often. I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan, but I always take time too see what he's putting out. This shit is unreal. This song and Music To My Soul have the right message. Fed up of hearing music that has no meaning too it and it winning in the charts, and I Dunno if this will get the airplay it deserves but I hope so
Oh what a night, oh what a night, Tears in my eyes, staring up at the sky in disbelief "I've got a voice in my head, voice in my head" that's what it said, All we really need is some comic relief But I'm afraid of not being able to laugh anymore (Oh) What's life going to become once we don't have anymore heroes? Its been 4 years yet he's never dead to me. Everytime i watch the movies he made i still feel his presence and it feels like it was yesterday. Love this song and i love cee lo. Robin you will always be my hero and one of my greatest inspirations
I love the melody of this song!!! The lyrics are so powerful!! You can feel what ceelo is going through!! Awesome tribute!! Rip Mr Williams! He was beyond great and could make anyone smile! He was God's gift to those who needed him!
Thank you for such an amazing song and especially helping me in my divorce right now once again thank you this is one of my go to songs to listen to when I’m going through issues
Rip to all mentioned, but mostly to robin williams, he was an genuine, loving person that i regret not gettin to meet, i c him and hoffman, and belushi having heaven rolling in laughs.
You can actually hear the influence Jon Bellion had on this record, his sound is so unique. Anyone that knows his music should be able to realize that he produces and co-wrote this in a heart. #BEAUTIFULMIND
" we've got to laugh the pain away " this line just summarizes robins life . I cry about his death every night . But I always remember "life only picks the best flowers to take" and I know he is at peace now . RIP King 👑❤
"What's life going to become once we don't have anymore heroes?" 😔 This song deserves a lot more attention. It's absolutely beautiful. Well done, CeeLo. Well done. RIP to all the heroes we've lost
this deserves WAAAYYY more views. this is such a wonderful song about such wonderful people. the people need to see this. this is so pretty. I love cee lo. 💕
Brings tears to my eyes everytime i hear this song, well done Ceelo! Great tribute, nobody knows what someone else is going through so we can't be too quock to judge. Miss you Robin Williams comedy is not the same without your humor. 😔😭😢😭😢😢😢😢😢😭❤💯💯💯💯💯
"We don't know what the next man's going through... we've got to laugh the pain away" Best lyrics ever! A lot of people are being judged now days and thats so right, we dont know what the next man is going through, but its so good to laugh the pain away because we shouldn't have to go everyday with something in our minds that bring us down.
He will always be a LEGEND "No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world." -Robin Williams I know for a fact he has changed the world.
I started crying listening to this. I grew up with Robin Williams' movies and was distraught when he passed. It was even more heartbreaking that he was taken by depression, something I struggle with myself. I hope this helps make people realize that they are not alone.
My children and I love this song...they sing their hearts out and mean every word!!! They loved Robin ever since I introduced him to them...he mentioned all the legends! Great song C-Lo!!! muuuuaaah!!
Oh man. just dive in lol...I personally like his older stuff a little better but all so good. I grew up in the town next to me he's a legend around here. If you like the beat boxing listen to "want to be loved" - Jon Bellion its an oldie but a goodie
Robin Williams was a HUGE part of my childhood, his comedy helped me get through a parental split, being teased, and many more things. This song brings back those memories and I hope wherever Robin is now, he is smiling as much as he made others. RIP and all the love in the world
What an amazing song Cee Lo Green! Few songs have had me at the point of tears and fewer songs have broken my heart and made me weep. This song has made that list. A BEAUTIFUL tribute to those special souls who we lost but are still able to inspire us all.
They did an autopsy on Robin Williams and found out he had dementia so he would forget things and was scared to go on stage because of that reason, so he felt like he was letting everyone down which is why he committed suicide. RIP Robin Williams, you touched the souls of millions with more to come. You made people cry and laugh. Keep his legend alive for the children to come, the years to pass, to always remember how much he meant to us, never let him die. We'll always miss you.
This is the most beautiful song I've ever heard since I can remembered. Ceelo is such a brilliant and poignant writer. I am so inspired y the magnitude of his heart. Love this jam!!!
this is a beautifully crafted song the message behind the song is very powerful ...alot of days we laugh to keep from crying . i just played this song 10 times back to back thank you mr green ..you made my day with this one ...
Amen !! Depression, anxiety, and other mental health is no joke, and ppl need to look hard to reconize the signs, i miss robin so damn much, rip to the most genuine, and versatile comic, and a warm hearted man, i also been thru many of the mental health problems, like bps, sever anxiety, and anger, i tryed to end it all a few times until i got help, if u c this and havin issues please reply ill talk back, i learned that no matter how bad it gets, suiside is no answer, also rip to 2 other legends, chris cornell, and chester bennington, 2 other greats we lost to soon, and to suiside to if u didnt already know.
For those who don’t understand this song like some ppl do Robin Williams was a actress and a comedian which is why “laugh the pain away”he committed suicide by hanging himself “im afraid of not being able to smile and we dont know what the next mans going through” ty for those who still listen to this
It is so sad this never blew up like it should have. But I do trust all the right people have heard this. God bless you CeeLo for making this art.
Jon Bellion wrote this song
??? wym lol he did, he wrote it for CeeLo, this is a colab Jon just doesn't like having his name on big songs cause he likes to stay small. I dont see whats wrong with that and why you have to be a ass about it though lmao
I'm not being an ass lol I'm literally just telling this person that it wasn't CeeLo who wrote the song, but Jon. Just stating the facts
FabulousGamer that's inaccurate Jon blew up a few times so I don't know what you're talking about
Love this song has taken me through quite a bit
I don't think this song is only a tribute to Williams. I think he is using him as a metaphor for attempting to appreciate life and give people a break, because we never really know what those people are dealing with. Beautiful.
Nicely put guy.

That's a wonderful song!
He will always be a LEGEND
"No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world." -Robin Williams
I know for a fact he has changed the world.
This song makes me wanna cry 😭💖
I love robin Williams He was my hero but all you can do is laugh the pain away 💗
@CEELOGREEN THANK YOU!!!!
its up to us to bring good music back.
I started crying listening to this. I grew up with Robin Williams' movies and was distraught when he passed. It was even more heartbreaking that he was taken by depression, something I struggle with myself. I hope this helps make people realize that they are not alone.
BE A MOTIVATOR NOT A MEMORY.!!!
RIP ROBIN WILLIAMS.
4EVER MISSED IN OUR EYES HEARTS & MINDS.!!!!!!!
My children and I love this song...they sing their hearts out and mean every word!!! They loved Robin ever since I introduced him to them...he mentioned all the legends! Great song C-Lo!!! muuuuaaah!!
my little brother listens to this song it makes him feel better he has cancer..
this song gets me through so many nights. I still cry over it but it helps me get it out. learning to laugh the pain way
Rest in Peace Robin Williams. Thank you for your comic relief, for your years of laughs, and the smiles you created through your work.
beautiful song, great job Cee Lo for recognizing comedians we,ve lost. one love!
How can a song be sad and happy at the same time.....mind blown....Cee Lo is on a whole other level
Man this is a fucking track! How did this not go viral?!?
Jon bellion made this song. Listen to his music if you get jiggy with this
Michael Rubino Will do man, Any tracks in particular?
Oh man. just dive in lol...I personally like his older stuff a little better but all so good. I grew up in the town next to me he's a legend around here. If you like the beat boxing listen to "want to be loved" - Jon Bellion its an oldie but a goodie
Jb is not like this at all. Why the need to throw his name around?
bob si dog is this a joke lmao
Robin Williams was a HUGE part of my childhood, his comedy helped me get through a parental split, being teased, and many more things. This song brings back those memories and I hope wherever Robin is now, he is smiling as much as he made others. RIP and all the love in the world
R.I.P Robin Williams.
❤
Cee Lo Green, thank you so much. This song makes me so much better considering that Robin is gone. R.I.P. Robin Williams, you are missed.
Jon Bellion is makin moves
Damn, I was scared no one else knew he produced the beat
Ayyyy people in the know 👋
The opening sound is fine same tone as “the wonder years”
You just tell it’s a Jon Bellion beat by the instrumentation and sounds
Literally brought tears to my eyes... :,) REST IN PEACE, ROBIN!!!
Oh Jon I can hear your fingerprints all over this!! BEAUTIFUL MIND BEAUTIFUL MIND!
First time I have heard this and here I am a grown ass man with more than a few tears in my eye. Damn good song.
Great sentiment.
What an amazing song Cee Lo Green! Few songs have had me at the point of tears and fewer songs have broken my heart and made me weep. This song has made that list. A BEAUTIFUL tribute to those special souls who we lost but are still able to inspire us all.
The live version is golden, this is nice
I am so glad I am not the only person who feels like they have watched the future this blew me away and your vision is extreme!!!
Loving the new song, welcome back CeeLo!!
this is a beautifully crafted song the message behind the song is very powerful ...alot of days we laugh to keep from crying . i just played this song 10 times back to back thank you mr green ..you made my day with this one ...
That Bellion production 😉
Thank you for speaking the words of your heart that really speak for several generations of people.
So awesome when a talented artists uses their talent to honor someone else.
you can feel the bellion production holy fuck
like immediately with those vocals in the beginning, it's literally him!
For those who don’t understand this song like some ppl do Robin Williams was a actress and a comedian which is why “laugh the pain away”he committed suicide by hanging himself “im afraid of not being able to smile and we dont know what the next mans going through” ty for those who still listen to this
easily his best song.
This is a nice and wonderful tribute to comedians and the importance of laughter.Great job, Cee Lo with your beautiful and peculiar voice!
BEAUTIFUL MIND
❤
