Kids younger then 12 shouldn't allowed but this was one of my favorite rides as a teenager one we had didn't have no rope and we were sitting down we had to hold on the bars but it was a much fun trying t stay seated and fight the gravity

These so called innovative rides as such have been around for quite some time. Originally they were called The Rotor. Riders were standing with a chain locking them in, and when the ride started to rotate ,faster and faster ,the floor dropped.
I lost some fingers in industrial chain (which is what spins those rides). I was underneath one, once upon a time, greasing up the chain for opening a few hours later and someone who didn't speak english, spun the ride and my hand slipped and my fingers did a revolution around the chain and teeth. That was not fun. They used every single shop towel on those carnival grounds for my hand! This was 30 years ago. My fingers are all gone on that hand. They originally tried to reattach whatever they could of them, and then my hand got infected, so I went back and told them to get rid of them and I'll live with it. So they did that and it was the best decision ever. I just had surgery on the wrist of that hand last year, because I had some fatty tissue (unrelated to my accident).
@@dave_dave You made the right decision Dave. For reattached limbs there's always a likelihood that infection will set in. I watched an episode of I survived recently and a 19 yr old was working on a corn silo and got his shirt caught in the machinery. It tore both arms off. He was there alone with his dog. He had passed out briefly but when he came to he discovered his arms were gone from the shoulders down. Some how he managed to get in the house and called his Aunt, he tried to dial 911, but was unsuccessful. They airlifted him to surgery, he was told they could reattach both arms but it was a good chance that infection would set in. He decided to go for it. The operation was successful and the arms are still on but he has limited movement in both hands. Personally, I almost had my foot cut off with a hand lawnmower a few years ago. Luckily I suffered only 3 breaks. I still feel numbness in that foot. I am glad you are doing fine now, you were extremely lucky that it wasn't worse.

As for me, I do mow my lawn and I push the mower with my hands and arms (a push mower) it is easy for me to do. I sometimes have to wrestle with it especially in thick grass, but I can still get it done. Learning how to re tie my shoes wasn't fun. I still have some of my thumb left (from about the halfway point of the thumb nail, down) and some of my ring finger and about a quarter of my pinky finger. The rest of them are completely gone. The doctors even took the corresponding knuckles out too. They didn't wanna take chances. I have what is called a "wing hand" it looks like a chicken wing. It doesn't bother me at all. I had the option for things to make it look like a normal hand. But I am happy with it the way it is. I don't mind the missing fingers at all.

Sometimes, I ride over sticks and they snap and break and the cutting deck spits them out and that hurts when they pelt you in the knees. Yeah, my hand isn't pretty looking, but I am ok with how it looks. It doesn't make me depressed, I'm not embarrassed by it, and I don't care who sees it or what they think. I knew a girl who was born with a condition called "Symbrachydactyly" and her hands are both missing fingers, and she was born like that. She does get very depressed a lot and hates the way her hands look. But then I remind her I have a matching hand and everything gets a little better for her.
