this band is so damn different from any other metal band. This band is unique in every sense of their music. They are so original....i can't stop thinking how awesome they are with every track i hear
The keys to life from the omnipotent dictator We chained our only one for the right to constant security Our dictator's voice in our ears, we pay our loan, For our mothers a memorial in marble
This song is amazing, but it hits incredible levels of amazing at 3:30 - 4:58. "One, two, three, four, what the hell are we fighting for now? Five, 666, lucky seven. Stripmine your private road to hell."
This song itself and the lyrics both are extraordinary. Such power and thought behind them. They were really on full-steam with this song I'm so glad I found it.
Thank you sonatachile for posting this song. I hear this song nearly every night before go to bed....after that I´m happy and sleeping well...its so amazing and the sound quality is awesome. It´s the best song on this album.
Wow, I didn't even think to check iTunes. (Don't have it on this computer, looks like I'll be downloading it.) :) Thanks for pointing out the obvious solution.
"One, two, three, four, what the hell're we fighting for, now Five, six six six, lucky seven, Stripmine your private road to HELL." I LOVE that last line! XD Thanks for uploading, I never would've heard this song otherwise. What the frick were they thinking, depriving so many of us of these bonus tracks??
The best of Unia's bonus tracks. Really love this song, though it took a couple of listens to really appreciate it. Love their new direction too. Unia is a masterpiece!
albums released in different places got different bonuses, for more info go to Sonata arctica's home page and go under discography->albums->Unia and it says.
I think it's about the ability of gouvernments to incite their citizens to go to war with respect to their own interests and with no regards to all the lives that are being sacrificed. I somehow think it's about USAs policy in the later 10 years and how they made all this war on terrorism and for democracy, but that might be only me. I just saw the same direction in the Peacemaker (Targeted at USA) and some other songs, but I might be dead wrong about it, this might just be a general idea.
+winkuli Unia is the only album that was entirely beautiful, to be honest. Too bad they don't do music like this anymore, Stones Grow Her Name was awful and Pariah's Child could've been better, and before that only Silence and Ecliptica were almost as good
This song is so addictive. :D Sonata Arctica XDDDD They have such dreamy music, dreaming away, and the singer has a soft but very effectionate voice :D Like he means It he sings with his hearth
Yeah, same here. Politicians manipulating people, like "papers they have signed". THey also give me a message that each side in a war has their points, but none of them are willing to give in and admit the others are right in some things. Also the sentence "if we wish to live in peace we need to fight, it demands a sacrifice" tells me that wars won't seize to exist untill humans aren't exctinct.
Elias did actually play some guitar portions for Unia, and had been previously playing with them aswell somewhere (cannot be 100% certain, I read it in a paper that is now lost -.-).
Mines the exact same way. -_- And after reading the lyrics I got my expectations a bit too high for this song. It's still really good though. Unia is a really good album. ^_^
Do you mean in the background at 2:56? but he sings in finnish. so i cant understand. but thats my favorite part, very well coordinated and just cool overall to add finish lyrics in the back
My lyricbook's messed up too, I have american version. It's got one page that has about half of the lyrics to this one, and only the first verse of Fly With The Black Swan...
I think people are trying to tell you to buy them. Though sometimes the only way to get some of the hard to find songs is to download them. If you want to buy them cheaply, you can use GoMusic. I know for a fact they have "The Gun" on there.
One, two, three, four, what the hell´re we fighting for, now Five, six six six, lucky seven, Stripmine your private road to hell.Rchard de Nice in France 51 ans.
Does anyone know what this song is about? My thoughts are on WO I - Interbellum - WO II - Cold war. But I'm always dead wrong about interpretating lyrics :p
I'll go ahead and reply here so other people see it. It means about "From the all-benevolent leader the keys to life. We chain our only (things) for a safe place. With our leader's voice in our ears, we redeem the debt, for our mothers to the marble of memory."
At first I thought "What?!! No!" but now that I listen, it does sound a little like him and he has definitely said those two words before. I don't think it is, though.
"Yes, you are needed, so badly wanted" - To click on the "Thumbs Up" button "For die we must" - Said the JB fans. "The bullets you created, shall be used against you" - JB. "One, two, three, four, what the hell´re we fighting for, now Five, six six six, lucky seven," - eight little gays who missed the "Like" button.
i have the Argentinian version and i have only this bonus track.. but there is a mistake on the lyric book the only lyricbook right is the japanese.. so sad i think we have bonus tracks cause here the cd's will cost you 30/32$
Well, I hear CD's in Japan cost a lot more than in, say, Europe. I can't remember the exact amount, but still, more. So I suppose some bands want them to get more songs for more money.
This is the best Sonata's intro ever written!!!
"Did you hear, they say, the ground they walk´s always been holier than mine" Tony sounds so awesome during that passage
this band is so damn different from any other metal band. This band is unique in every sense of their music. They are so original....i can't stop thinking how awesome they are with every track i hear
2:55 - 3:28 lyrics: Kaikkivoipaiselta itsevaltiaalta avaimet elämään.
Kahlehdimme ainoamme oikeudesta turvaan pysyvään.
Itsevaltiaamme ääni korvissamme, lainan lunastamme,
äideillemme muiston marmoriin.
Just listen carefully :)
The keys to life from the omnipotent dictator
We chained our only one for the right to constant security
Our dictator's voice in our ears, we pay our loan,
For our mothers a memorial in marble
@@pnousiai Not dictator, autocrat.
Just an amazing song! Tunes full of power and lyrics that describe at best modern society and politics. A song to enjoy and to think with!
Bonus Track? God, this track alone is better than 5-6 tracks from the album...
the album is unique but not great, but this song is freaking lit. Caleb is the only better song imo but this is really close.
This song is amazing, but it hits incredible levels of amazing at 3:30 - 4:58. "One, two, three, four, what the hell are we fighting for now? Five, 666, lucky seven. Stripmine your private road to hell."

Sonata is just to damn good!!! and this song is just amazing and gets better with every time i listen to it
cada vez que hace frio me acuerdo de esta cancion
+craken20111 Eso me pasa con el album The Days of Grays :'(
Thank you sonatachile for posting this song.
I hear this song nearly every night before go to bed....after that I´m happy and sleeping well...its so amazing and the sound quality is awesome. It´s the best song on this album.
''Did you hear, they say, the ground they walk´s always been holier than mine'' aaaah, tony sounds so great.

The best sonata arctica's Intro ever!!! the Jani's riff is awesome !
The best of Unia's bonus tracks. Really love this song, though it took a couple of listens to really appreciate it.
Love their new direction too. Unia is a masterpiece!
Fantastic song! With Caleb the best song from Unia I think and one of my favorites from all of songs by Sonata Arctica.
albums released in different places got different bonuses, for more info go to Sonata arctica's home page and go under discography->albums->Unia and it says.
sonata is the best sonata 4ever iam addicted ti them they are gods!!!just perfect.the best metal band of all
I think it's about the ability of gouvernments to incite their citizens to go to war with respect to their own interests and with no regards to all the lives that are being sacrificed. So beautiful song...
I really miss this Sonata.
+winkuli When this came out, people were saying they missed the Sonata before Unia
+winkuli Unia is the only album that was entirely beautiful, to be honest. Too bad they don't do music like this anymore, Stones Grow Her Name was awful and Pariah's Child could've been better, and before that only Silence and Ecliptica were almost as good
+Stray Wolf The Days of Grays and Unia are great man, but yes, Stones and Pariah's was a little boring and the production was awful
Ummm....wintehearts guild? I think you forgot that masterpiece
WHG was ok, not extremely good, but good enough
Awesome band awesome voice POWER!!!!!
this song rocks!, keep it heavy SA!
Best Sonata Arctica song together with Fly With The Black Swan!!!
Exactly, Sonata makes great music wherever you look
This song is so addictive. :D Sonata Arctica XDDDD They have such dreamy music, dreaming away, and the singer has a soft but very effectionate voice :D Like he means It he sings with his hearth
why thank you! you are genious! =)

Thanks mate,
Thanks, mate.
ah SA been listening to them for 7 years now and its still not enough O.O
Awesome song!
Anyone who says this isn't a good song has no music sense.
Elias did actually play some guitar portions for Unia, and had been previously playing with them aswell somewhere (cannot be 100% certain, I read it in a paper that is now lost -.-).
this song is the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeest!! :D
Freakin' incredible.
awesome
Mines the exact same way. -_-
And after reading the lyrics I got my expectations a bit too high for this song. It's still really good though. Unia is a really good album. ^_^
My favorite song from this group
this song is so goddamn good ^^
Gogo sonata arctica
:') Awesome song!!!!
It is Bush actually. Fits the song(If you don't know what I mean, read the lyrics) and you just can't mistake that voice.
"One two, three four, what the hell are we fighting for? five 666, lucky seven." hehe i love this song ^^
Actually according to my mother, it's from an old war-protest chant. "one two three four, what're we fighting for".
@AriaNycyus Sonata Arctica loves their songs, many bands and artist just loves the money it gets them
IMHO you can't appreciate Sonata Arctica if you are still expecting power metal or you have your mind closed
This song is on zero streaming services, and I was starting to think I’d dreamed it until I went through my music files on an old laptop.
Days if gray its diferent but it is an exelent album! Im my opinion its one of their best! I love it!
Looked this word up.
This is what I can say in Finnish for Sonata:
Erinomainen!!! = Superb in Finnish.;-D
Hmm, that sounds quite acceptable.
I think they put it in such a way that we can have different aproaches of understanding the lyrics.
Still awesome!
It's bought :)
And yea Finland have some fking sick bands.
Sonata, Apocalyptica, Children Of Bodom, Ensiferum, Amorphis.. among others
One of the best from them!
And I'm very pissed that it's not on Spotify... And the audio quality of this video is terrible
I think people are trying to tell you to buy them. Though sometimes the only way to get some of the hard to find songs is to download them.
If you want to buy them cheaply, you can use GoMusic. I know for a fact they have "The Gun" on there.
why is it that i don't have this song on the album, but have the song "out in the fields", which they claim is a bonus song?
good for you :)
@Haarissssssssss to make that section even more dramtic they made one of the singers sing in finnish. it's brilliant!
One, two, three, four, what the hell´re we fighting for, now
Five, six six six, lucky seven,
Stripmine your private road to hell.Rchard de Nice in France 51 ans.
Can anyone tell me where i can downloas this song? Limewire dosent seem to have it XD
Sonata riffs are fucking awesome
This has a very good chorus.
✨️
I'm in your same situation, though I bought the disc in Italy. =*(
Why is it that some of the best Sonata Arctica songs are Bonus Tracks? Not to mention the covers they make.
Is it just me or is this song referring to the war on terrorism?
4:06 yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh
Does anyone know what this song is about? My thoughts are on WO I - Interbellum - WO II - Cold war. But I'm always dead wrong about interpretating lyrics :p
We don't get this one on the American release... damn.
I think it does, but doesn't take much bending to fit it into every other war as well. They always say they're in the right...
Does anyone know where I can download Unia's bonus tracks? I'm willing to pay. I have nothing against legal downloading.
I'll go ahead and reply here so other people see it. It means about
"From the all-benevolent leader the keys to life.
We chain our only (things) for a safe place.
With our leader's voice in our ears, we redeem the debt,

1:11♥
4:23 ♥

Fun Fact !....
The line "The Enemy!" is none other than (sarcastically) every ones favourite person in the world...
George W. Bush
I bought this album while I was in Tokyo and never heard of this song... So strange. Great song though.
DariusSlayer cause its a bonus track
Wait...i bought this album but i didn't get this track...how'd you get it?
i have the Argentinian version and i have only this bonus track.. but there is a mistake on the lyric book the only lyricbook right is the japanese.. so sad

it was a bonus track!
I guess for eh..... European and Finnish Limited Edition Unia CD...
Lyons?
You're right, it isn't. Please, send it to me!
Well, I hear CD's in Japan cost a lot more than in, say, Europe. I can't remember the exact amount, but still, more. So I suppose some bands want them to get more songs for more money.
You BUY it! ;]
@realkman666 I would, but very, very similar lyrics.
