This film shows the importance of documenting family visits and occasions. We never know what tomorrow will bring. Barack never knew at this point that he will be the President of the United States in 2008.

@@agawookeyo6063 This is just a reason to isolate Luos politically. Tesos and Turkanas are not circumcised and they are not stigamtized as Luos. This isolation started after Tom Mboya's assassination in 1969.

For me what stands out is the humility. I visited Auma's house that year, I can't remember if I met him that day, there were a few people in the house and I was feeling shy, I just remember drinking my tea and then scuttling out of the door.

This makes me believe the person character, is the ones which determine how far a person can go or become, I can see even from Donald trump's character haven't changed, was the same even on his 20's years. That why it is important to have a certain way of life which you can stick to it no matter the situation, that unwavering character or personality can take you places you are destined to. It is very crucial to stick to your flaws men

@@luganoessom1464 Indeed, the child is the father of the man; who you are as a child, will determine who you become as an adult. Also, the Jesuits have a saying- show me the child and I will show you the man. By 8 the first set of synopsises in our heads begin to close. Arsene Wenger was mocked for buying teenage players like Cesc Fabregas, he said, psychologists will tel you that we are fully formed by SIXTEEN. Who you are at 16 is who you will be for the rest of your life, you will retain whatever negative habits you have picked up, unless you make a conscious effort to change!!
Barack's mother, Dr Stanley Ann Durham was a teenage mother but she did such a brilliant job of raising Barack. He used to say the best of him was his mother. She was an intelligent, hardworking, wise, humble, driven, focused, kind soul.

The capacity, the determination in this guy is Unbelievable. To confront your 'backward' past, run into all the negative energy; (like in dreams from my Father) "oh your father was jinxed/hexed etc", still manage to come out, salvage the family name and leave it forever etched in our minds is EPIC. Obama Snr sired him but I think Barack was lucky to be born of an extremely humane and liberal mother, allowing him to confront a past that could have easily swallowed him. The Luo carry a baggage of years of ostracisation by the capitalistic right because of their 'socialistic'-leaning culture. Obama has once again provided leadership to the Luo nation; our future, it seems, lies in deference/tolerance and marching to the beats of the drum of compromise not militancy. The fact that his step bro; Dessanjo, who'd ditched his Luo roots and family name came back, shows just how revolutionary Barack is; he restored respect to the family Name.

Exactly 20yrs later Barrack Obama became the President of the united states..... 4yrs before he had become the Senator of Illinois, for sure you can never know what tomorrow holds, and hence why you need to treat everyone well because you just never know who you're dealing with today who theyre gonna become tomorrow.
And what's really baffling is the fact that even then the guy was still as brilliant as he has always been.
    Great masterpiece over here!👏👏👏👏👏

Kenya is just amazing. The Luo, a tribe that has blessed America with its first Black president is considered not fit enough to lead.
