What a beautiful aircraft, just a gorgeous old classic prop plane. She was built between May 1942 and August 1947, a long time ago, so wonderful to see her in such beautiful condition after so many years, at least 77 years old!! Amazing!! ❤❤
It was a real treat for me when I caught this old classic, thank you for checking it out Peter👍😎
I'd love to see another video of her flying and the cockpit instrument panels. Thanks for the trip back in time to the 40's!
I was just happy that I was able to catch this, I wish I could have got more flying and I wanted to go inside and check it out but they wouldn't let me.
Awesome video of this classic bird!! 👌👌 Here in Europe we have a flying DC-6B from Red Bull in Salzburg/Austria, but no DC-4/C-54. Thanks for the upload! Greetings from Germany ☺👍👍
I would love to see the DC-6 flying, thank you very much for watching 👍😎
This is incredible! Lovely catch!
Beautiful DC4 but the CJ3 next to it…I did some much fueling when I worked at maguire aviation at kvny long ago…the sister ship to the CJ3 was a gulfstream 4 same livery….if I remember right they are out of Reno int’l airport
Love the sound of the engines !!!
Engine Sound: Pratt & Whitney R-2000
Thank you very much for watching 👍😎The Douglas C-54 was powered by four Pratt and Whitney R-2000 radial piston engines, each generating 1,100 to 1,450 horsepower, depending on the model1234. These engines allowed the C-54 to cruise at about 240 mph with a maximum speed of 275 mph2. The C-54 Skymaster had an impressive range and could ferry substantial cargo over long distances.
There is no point to such a video recorded with a stupid phone. You can't hear anything but the wind. It might as well be the sound of a sewing machine.
In my description I stated It was extremely windy, dark & cold that day & was not recorded with a phone and it was also recorded back in 2013. Thank you for watching and for your support I will check out your videos that you have.
Wow, now that was a cool one to see and hear! Great footage of this classic DC-4, such a beauty. Those four radials sound great!
I wish I can see more of these classics, it was very exciting catching this classic 👍😎
