They let the author play around with deleted scenes from the anime in the manga and i thought some of them came out better and worse. Like i like the anime better for the Mitsuru plotline early in the series, and using him to show the dangers of riding with Zero Two. But the manga had a Hiro and Zero Two vs 9 Alpha fight which the anime teased, but never gave us. So better and worse imo.
