I finished my 151 master set a little while back, I put the electabuzz, abra, and kadabra as a variant of the normal set cards since they aren’t black stars. The most reasonable definition of a master set to me is to also have the promos that actually come in the set products, which is what I have currently. I would like to get a copy of the stamped promos at some point though.
I needed this video when the set came out. Lol This is the first one I want to master set the collection. Now I want to go home and redo my whole binder. The only thing I did that you said not to do. Is I put the non hollows behind the reverse hollows. But everything is all sleeved up.
I also do this for sets I am not actively trying to complete, (eg when I get packs of vivid voltage and darkness ablaze when all I wanted was celebrations).
For some sets that I am actively collecting (eg SV 151 and Paldean fates) i have ended up with enough of the ex cards to make a full regular set, as well as a reverse holo set. First do the regular set in number order, then i make sure the reverse holo set starts on the left side of a double page and repeat without skipping the ex cards. Once i get to the alt art/secret range, they go in sleeves, then toploaders and into a Toploader binder.
For Mastersets I do RH first, then Secret Rares and then the standard cards at the end. That way it's clean, the evolutions are better organized and not full of duplicates next to each other. And the cards are still all there. Also I sleeve all of them because else they are a little loose on the pockets, can slide out when flipping and aren't ordered right next to each other. They are bit more to the upper or lower side making it look wrong 😂
As someone who has come back after over 20 years partly due to my son. I'm not sure what the purpose is of making it so confusing compared to what it used to be. Still enjoying it though.
Even for me it can feel convoluted at times. There are lots of nuances and things that collectors do differently. I also miss the simplicity of the old sets!
This was very helpful. Thank you! I used to collect around 2010/2011 and I have some random older and newer cards. I am still pretty overwhelmed on how to organise my cards. I definitely wanted to try and organise by my favourite Pokémon but I also have many random cool cards and don’t know where to put them
Usefull stuff, thatnks! I must say i always put my normal card in a slot, and the (reverse)holo in a sleeve in the same slot. Doesnt damage the cards, and save s a lot of slots:)
I've organized my reverse holos in the back. I'm more concerned with collecting the main set including all secret rares but not so much on reverse holos. But I do have them ordered numerically.
awesome video thanks. I'm 34 loved pokemon as a kid. this is my first time getting cards 151. you made me rearrange my bloody folder again lol. only diferance i decided to make was putting the promos after the reverse holos. 3 bulbasaurs in 1 line does it for me lol
I do it the SAME WAY!!!One card per pocket people! Curious at what value do you make the decision that the card gets put into a top loader? - Building my master set of Paldean Fates, I should have went for a smaller total card set. Still so much fun. If ya aint having fun, you are doing for all the wrong reasons. Thanks for the video. Happy Hunting.
@@HostileHern Why did u choose to get different binder ? Im asking cause i have the one from video and i dont see any issue with it. Maybe zipper would be good addition, but overall its a solid, pretty and 151 themed binder.
Hey I just wanted to let everyone know that the master set (no promos included) will fit exactly into this binder. He accidentally had some extra space at the end which means he messed up somewhere along the line 😢. I actually did this MULTIPLE times myself until I started using the etb sleeves as the spacers for missing cards. Then once I ran out of etb sleeves I used extra common cards for the missing space except flipped backwards with the pokeball showing. I hope this helps someone out there that may be confused that yours doesn't match sleeve no card behinds binder.
Also: i think you didnt mention, if you did, i missed it: there are 2 versions of most cards. For every normal one there is also a holo OR non holo version (never all 3). Took me a while to figure that out:).
Do you organize each set in there own binder or all together? Like for example would you put Paldean Fates with Twilight Masquerade in the same binder or should each one have their own binder.
@@sleevenocardbehind sounds cool 👍🏽. I used to collect Pokémon cards back in the original days when I was a kid, but I stopped a long, long time ago, but it’s something I want to share with my kids so I decided to get back into it. The Scarlet & Violet 151 set is calling to me.
Only problem with that binder is not being able actually have an entire master set in one binder. I know your addressed this, but sad Pokémon didn’t think about this, and include one or two extra pages, as it wouldn’t have cost them or who their manufacturer is, really anymore money.
Thanks. Just got one question. Let's say I have two copies of a single common card, say Bulbasaur (none of them being reverse holos). Do I just stack the two common cards and put them in the same pocket?
I dont collect master sets personally i might collect 151 and the team rocket set when that comes out. But rn i just habe a trade binder and a personal collection binder
please use sleeves with this binder my cards got scuff on the back i lost value in selling my cards they got scuffs on the back yes i sleeve up my common cards too
It’s comes with the ETB but those are hard to find now. You can check the secondary market like eBay but if you know anyone who collects a lot of cards they might have one for you
Can't fit whole set in the binder if putting them in individual sleeves. I put both common and reverse Holo in seperate penny sleeve. Then I put the common in a binder sleeve 1st, then the reverse Holo in front of the common. The binder sleeves are loose enough to not damage the cards. Especially when in seperate penny sleeves.
@@sleevenocardbehind I don't know, I don't actually own one, wish I had, but I saw some reviews on it and also if I search for one on Amazon, it says it has 20 pages holding up to 360 cards.

Welcome to the hobby!!! Been at it 35 years now 😉
I use spare energy cards as spacers when I’m building the binder. It helps me keep track of gaps I need for cards I’m yet to obtain.
Great idea, I always seem to miscount a gap in the middle of my binder, having to pull and redo half the cards.
Going to do that for Prismatic Evolutions.

At 4:00, you put reverse holo Pikachu to the bottom right corner of that page, which is wrong. It should be a regular Pikachu.😆

If you are sleeving both cards, could you put the non-holo and reverse-holo into the same slot? Or would this still potentially damage the cards?
Some people do it. If you are careful, I’m sure it will be ok. You may run the risk of stretching the binder pocket a little bit

Thank you just got one question where do I put stamp cards? I'm working on Chilling Reigon and there's a lot.
It’s up to you. Personally, I place them in the back with the promo cards
I put the Reverse one at the start and then the others go at the end after the full arts

I sleeve them and keep them in at ETB box or a binder for trades :)

You can't fit the whole set? You must be including the promo cards then?
You only get like 180 slots in 151 binder 165 cards in the base all but the ex cards have reversed holo not including the secret rares
The binder in this video, and the one's I use are with 360 slots. Not 180, those are thinner and yes they can't fit all the cards
