- New Jersey Commissioner of Health Judith Persichilli, an alumna of Rutgers School of Nursing, is the first nurse to serve in that role. On November 4, 2022, she was inducted into the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni, the university's highest alumni honor.
