I agree with you. Was surprised that someone would ask that. I think Lee does an amazing job for what he has undertaken. I haven't seen a single one of his dogs look downtrodden once they've had a taste of Lee's place and all of the love that surrounds them. And yes, even if he never put a hand to pet them, it is FAR better than euthanization.
There are always "those people" who know better than anyone else. Who make judgments based on no information. Who are just miserable excuses for human beings. To be clear, as Lee alluded, there were rude people "asking." I'm referring to them.

Your dogs are the most well adjusted, calm, and happy dogs! It only takes a few minutes of watching how you interact with them to see how the dogs respond to you and I know that all the humans who work with you and with them reflect your huge heart!!
They may not get as much individual one on one time as a dog in a house with a family. But their lifestyle far exceeds what they can get with a family who might go to work every day and leave them alone. And there is a lot to be said for a group of dogs that are happy, feel safe, and have a sense of family. You can’t buy that kind of love, and don’t ever let anyone make you feel bad about it. I would choose this life for a dog over any… ❤

OMG, its very rare for me to make a comment on a video but this made me mad. You DO NOT need to justify how much love and attention you give to your dogs. Anyone with half a brain can see quite clearly that every single dog (and animal) you have are extremely well cared for, from diet to vet care and the sheer enjoyment the dogs show when they are with you. You and your staff do an amazing job, never feel you have to justify what you do to your loyal watchers and fans.

It upsets me that people even say that. Lee goes above and beyond for his animals. It’s obvious how much he loves them and they love him in return. Even when you watch a rescue video you see how the dogs just melt into his arms like they can feel his love and knows they are finally safe. He has saved so many dogs from being euthanized or spending months and months in a shelter. You can tell that his whole heart is devoted to his pack, farm animals, and all of his rescues. These dogs have a fantastic life, they can run freely on the property, come inside whenever they please, they just get to be happy and free. We need more places like The Asher House Sanctuary that can save more animals. I dream of a day where no dog is ever put down because of space. I know people who keep their dog locked in the crate from before eight in the morning and six at night when they get home from work…that is a dog that isn’t getting a lot of attention. Lee makes sure to love on his babies all day, and never denies them when they come up to him. I love how he speaks to them, my family has made fun of me because I talk to my Sephie girl like he does, but I believe she gets me.
It's just awful to put a dog in a crate for such a long amount of time. And not necessary at all. They should just be left in the flat/house (preferably not for longer than 5 to 6 hours at a time though).
There will always be people who don't walk in your shoes criticizing what they think they know. You are doing great keep up the good work. The world needs more people like you who step up and do what other people won't do for there pets. Watching you on rescue day is just wonderful. Rescuing the birds the other day was so fun to watch. My neighbor is in a wheelchair and she has a german shepherd and lives in an apartment. She saved this dog from the shelter where he was in a 5x6 cage. Now who can argue that the dog is better off not living in a shelter with little action??? I see that she does her best taking the dog out for a walk in her mobility scooter and the dog loves her and loves his walks. So Lee your dogs get to roam and play with each other get good food and care from you and your team so thank God you have this as a calling and are saving many animals. And to those who question anything IGNORE their sarcastic remarks since they are doing Nothing. Keep up the good work. I donate to your organization along with Farm Sanctuary and Delta Rescue. Anyone that can give their time and effort deserves to be helped financially from those who CANNOT..

I've been watching you on FB. My last job wouldn't allow me to have Peaches on the truck. I became a driver for big rigs. Although Peaches is a service dog, they really put me to a lot. Peaches is a 3.5 pound maltipoo. So me and the job parted. She's my baby. If I had a house, and could afford it, I'd have at least 5 dogs. I wish there was a bill that shelters would not be able to euthanize because of overcrowding. It's simply not right. Dogs are a gift to humanity. ❤ I would love to have a place for dogs, but wouldn't know how to start. You are a blessing to the pup community. ❤❤❤

Way too few dogs get great food, great exercise, freedom of space to run around and explore, and to socialise with loads of other dogs. It's amazing that the dogs can socialise amongst themselves. Obviously, it's great to give them cuddles, kisses and encouragement, especially those who have been mistreated by humans, but their basic needs need to be met first and they seem to be incredibly met at the Asher house. They all seem to be living really happy lives
I am a dog trainer and behavioural trainer who also passed exams in body language and anxiety and i would say that all your dogs have an amazing time/life with you i think the dogs probably get more attention and affection than a lot of dogs in everyday life i am with my dogs 24/7 they come with me to work and are always in the car with me but not many dogs get that so Lee i don’t think you have to question yourself at all xxx

Lee you are doing such wonderful work. You see the relief in these animals from arriving at their new home. You can not be compared to one man caring for his dog on his couch. What you are doing is on the next level to what any of us could do. You are seeing the big picture of saving as many animals as you can. You are such a gift to these animals that end up needing rescue to no fault of their own. Animal lovers get it. You don't need to explain. If I was an animal in a shelter, on a list with limited days (through no fault of my own) I would be so happy to run free with a pack of like minded soles. What you give should not be questioned. It should be appreciated.

I've been watching you on FB. My last job wouldn't allow me to have Peaches on the truck. I became a driver for big rigs. Although Peaches is a service dog, they really put me to a lot. Peaches is a 3.5 pound maltipoo. So me and the job parted. She's my baby. If I had a house, and could afford it, I'd have at least 5 dogs. I wish there was a bill that shelters would not be able to euthanize because of overcrowding. It's simply not right. Dogs are a gift to humanity. ❤ I would love to have a place for dogs, but wouldn't know how to start. You are a blessing to the pup community. ❤❤❤

Way too few dogs get great food, great exercise, freedom of space to run around and explore, and to socialise with loads of other dogs. It's amazing that the dogs can socialise amongst themselves. Obviously, it's great to give them cuddles, kisses and encouragement, especially those who have been mistreated by humans, but their basic needs need to be met first and they seem to be incredibly met at the Asher house. They all seem to be living really happy lives

I am a dog trainer and behavioural trainer who also passed exams in body language and anxiety and i would say that all your dogs have an amazing time/life with you i think the dogs probably get more attention and affection than a lot of dogs in everyday life i am with my dogs 24/7 they come with me to work and are always in the car with me but not many dogs get that so Lee i don’t think you have to question yourself at all xxx

People question me on that as well because I have five dogs and they don’t get it. From when you adopt them you can see the change in the dog in just overnight or one day, they're so happy, relaxed and well loved and cared for. Personally, I feel that anyone putting forth that type of question to Asher House in a negative tone is pulling that from a source of selfishness, jealousy, and are only choosing to blight others with their negativity.
