Geoff is the most deadly man I have ever seen with an AR. I am going out Saturday and watching your videos always gets me pumped. Thank you. Seeing G smiling at the end made the video. I love that feeling. That is why we make stands.
@@GeoffNemnich I really like your podcast too. I listened to it going out to my spot on Saturday. I am going to see if I can do your class next winter. One of the keys to coyote hunting is a guy has to have a lot of land with fresh coyote ears to hear the call. I find that as my biggest frustration. Believe it or not it is hard to get land to hunt on in western Montana. I came up with an empty sack on Saturday But out of three stands I saw coyotes on 2. It was new property and the first stand they answered on the other side of the river with open water. I will be more successful next time I go because I understand the lay of the land.
@@HeAdChEeSe1983 for sure man! Most guys underestimate the amount of ground and access it takes to stay successful calling coyotes for 5 months straight!
Great video guys! Could wait for the next one back to Rick's stomping grounds Clay Center Kansas. Yah bby, I have a feeling it going to be a good one!!!
I've been trying to figure out where Rick is from for so long because I used to live in Clay center and worked at the quarry east of there. The coincidence that Rick is from clay and Geoff is from the same area of western Nebraska that I'm originally from is mind blowing to me. Love these videos
Love this stuff, ya'll are pro's and I've learned a ton from watchin.. I'm going to get out there and give it a shot, pun intended. Thanks Geoff and Rick for your dedication to predator hunting, and puttin it out here where we can come along for the ride.
Feb- 2- 22 Well I'm sitting here outside Hutchinson Kansas looking out the front window of my house in a wheelchair with a broken ankle. There's a few inches of snow on the ground and still coming down. The Fur taker is sitting by the back door full of Hornady 53gr ners. This is pure agony for a coyote hunter! My coyote hunting partner stopped by the other day and grabbed my MOJO Rabbit and a couple other things. Unfortunately he's on his own this season since I can't walk. Thanks for the Videos guys. Its the only thing keeping me going on these long boring days recovering from Surgery. Go gettem!!!!!
Me and my son have been watching all your movies and you guys make it look so easy haha. We went out for 9 hours and made at least 12 stands and didn’t see a dog. I think we need to invest into your electric call, we’ve been mouth calling with no luck. We will keep watching and hopefully pick up the tricks to help us figure them out. Thanks for all the hunts that you share with us.
Great stuff !! Just gave the podcast a follow, looking forward to hearing what you have to say as well as the AZ trip. Being an AZ local that episode really hit the spot! Y’all are some heavy hitters! G with the 2 run double to end the video was some good stuff! Thank u again for keeping it consistent and brining us the best predator hunting on TH-cam!
Just about to get into coyote hunting. A friend was asked by a farmer in Kansas for some assistance. Lost 6 calves to yotes so far. Can't wait. I'm surely going to have to get a call from Rick since it's not far from me.
Love it! I've been listening to the podcast, love the stories. Rick cracks me up! I hunt in Ohio mostly daytime, but I have a crappy light, a couple mouth calls a crappy ecaller and a great huntin buddy. We don't kill a truck load when we go, but we sure do have fun! Thanks guys! I love it out west, wish I could get out there more... PS- If you need some guys back east to try one of those fancy callers, just give us a shout, we could maybe work something out!
Geoff thanks for the info on the swagger bypod, i run one just like yours and the little tips u give are very helpful. Thanks Jason Alexander, Arkansas
Love your guys show....and absolutely love the podcast.....Geoff and rick should do a podcast on their setups...rifles, Suppressors....other equipment...ect....we all know your using lucky duck but what rifles, what caliber, what Suppressor...ect....inquiring minds need to know🤣👍....but seriously love it all
Another great video guys, great tips throughout. I've had my Revolt 3 or 4 years, it's been incredible. Geoff, maybe I'll bump into you sometime at Joe's dumping off fur.
Hi Geoff I’ve just got into coyote hunting out in Fresno California. You and Rick are first class professionals. I really enjoy watching your episodes. Keep up putting dogs in the dust!!! If you know of any places to hunt in the Central Valley I would be greatly appreciated. Your team has inspired me to start hunting.
Thanx for the tips on the Swagger. I have had one for two years and didn't know that I could take the rubber bottoms off, or picking up the lead leg to drag the tailing leg while moving it. Makes great sense. I have a Lucky Duck as well so it I really like your videos because I know the sounds and like to see the sequences. My Lucky Duck has the camera on front (which I have NEVER used. Haha) I paid $100 bucks more because it was the only one they had. haha
Geoff and Rick, I appreciate your videos and the podcast! I've learned a bunch and I'm starting to see success. I would love to see a video that explains the stock coyote vocals that come on the lucky duck revolt. I'm trying to figure out how and when to use Long Howls, Challenge Howls, Interrogation Howls, and Breeding noises, but haven't been successful with it. Some explanation about what these are for and the right time to use them would be amazing. Just an idea from a customer. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Great to hear Kyle! We will work on putting something together about the howling although I don't use a bunch of it! I've always figured we are just lying to ourselves if we really think we know what a coyote is saying!! 🤣
Running AR suppressed do you have good luck with one lube over another? I have a dead air nomad and savage patrol super dirty and locked up the BCG on one range trip. Love the videos thx
Great video guys! I'm a coyote hunter in Colorado, southeast part of the state. Maybe we will run into each other some day. Would love to hunt beside you guys.
Another great episode!! I cannot wait for the night time thermal hunt!! Any tips on hunting wooded areas? Here in Wv there aren’t many field areas to hunt.
I would try and find small openings in the woods, mainly just enough visibility to get a 50-100 yard shot. Might carry a shotgun too, if they respond you probably won't have much time in tighter cover like that.
Neat story about how you move your bipod, even though that's not how you moved about 20 seconds before that. You just lifted it up and turned, just like I do with a harris or a tripod.
Question? Hey Geoff or Rick, so what do you guys do with mange yotes? I saw a video once, they said bury them right where they are to stop the spread? Just curious, we dont have many here in NV that ive seen, but did kill one a few weeks back. Thanks!
I usually throw them in the dumpster or find a ditch or canyon to put them in. Im guessing once the body temp starts dropping on a dead mangy coyote the mange mites don't live very long.
Hey Geoff, struggling to get coyotes in with my revolt…. Tones of fresh tracks in the snow, but nothing seemed to show with calling, what would you try if they’re seemingly paired up and don’t want to check things out? And don’t seem hungry? Thanks
My son and me are just getting into this. Are those silencers on the rifles? I plan on using a 223 and a 20G for the boy. Are we on the right track? Great videos for sure!!!!!
I see you're a left handed shooter like me. Every coyote hunting group needs a south paw, but i usually always point to my gun to my weak side, because i can swing to my right so much easier than to my left with out moving too much.
If you owned 300acres of wooded, mountainous land........how many stands would you personally split it into and how often per year would you hunt those?
How long did it take you guys get set up to do coyote hunting if you stuck that your first time start I really like to know thank you for all the entertainment
Great video as usual. We have also from time to time foxes with mangy, they looks horrible and we tray to take them out of nature. Always keep the hunting dogs away from the sick animal otherwise you have to visit the vet! regards from Switzerland
Thank you so much for mentioning that although you did two or three in a row with coyotes then you went eight in a row of dry stands. That Resonates when that so often is the case and you wonder what you’re doing wrong because everybody on TH-cam is killing them.
I would never handle those mangy coyotes. It is easy to get on your skin. The mange has taken over half the bear population in the state of Virginia in the last 2 years. I killed one behind my house that was skin and bones and not afraid of anything. He should have weighed over 4 hundred pounds but probably weighed about 150. He had torn the large screens out of my sliding glass door going into my basement area. I think he didn't like looking in there and seeing the bear rugs on the floor. LOL
Can we just all appreciate that they also show their misses. A lot of guys make themselves look like perfect shots.
Geoff you and Ricks videos are World Class I enjoy watching everyone of them. I have not seen many that are any better dont quit now.
Thx Chris, we plan on keeping them going!
Someone replied to my comment but im thinking its a scam ...its right above Chris' comment. Can someone look into it, thanks
