Some one finally said Z06 , a lot of boys in north America would’ve help you built a 1000bhp with american muscle, I appreciate your effort , Go american mate
I started watching this series 3hrs ago to pass the morning away while I was working now I found out your in west midlands not far from me im in…! Can’t wait to see where this goes really interesting great content & I agree rename this series 1000bhp rs6 build & TH-cam will push it a bit more. Good luck can’t wait to see how it turns out thanks for sharing 👍👍🙏
Awesome project! Following closely. I think the extra money spent on the brakes was a wise decision, as I'm sure you'll need them with 1000hp. Excellent work.
Ceramics are a must. It's good you bought them. You will only need pads and they will never go bad. I would have spent another 4k for the interior. The front seats alone are a great investment. They sell for 5k+
you need to adapt the old saying "sometimes you win sometimes you loose", i think you did right in buing them cheramic brakes. im shocked you didnt buy the interior as well. it looked awesome.
Epic road trip to come back with such an engine and those brakes! The condition seems to be so good! I can't wait for the tear-down to see if all is still good.
Man im buzzing right away ! What a build. It's going to be one of a kind for sure . Your perseverance is an example for everyone. But i know it's not easy. I rebuild and CDL engine and it was crazy expensive. And at the end of the build it's never 100% sure everything go well. Your the man for the V10. Im confident....
I own one of these and it's a truly awesome engine, even on standard power like mine. They are also built to last if well maintained. Good luck with the build.
I have the carbon ceramic's front and back on my bitdi (OEM's) , they are a must with a high powered car, once you've tried, you don't regret the price... great acquisition
Thise ceramics for 6k rather sounds like the best investment , instead of a bad buy! Bargain. Great stuff! Exciting to watch! Good luck Thomas! Get some well deserved rest too!
Great project guys! As for the CCB’s I’ve a B7 RS4 with a full R8 CCB set up and they are immense, especially as I’ve supercharged her, defo worth the extra expense 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
@@VAGTechnic I was watching the video and I honestly thought you was going to say that you’d bought the full car because it wasn’t categorised, and you’d mend and see the original to help fund the new one 🤣
Great purchase 😅 Please get the calipers completely redone. Taking them apart should be your thing and then have them chemically stripped, blasted and powdercoated. TPS maybe can help with the ‘stickers’ for them otherwise a sticker/decal shop could maybe work?
Great project! As a “new” S8 V10 owner I understand your love for these beasts. Once you start on those calipers I’d be interested to know the color code for them, I can’t seem to find that anywhere...
thats not a bad deal for the discs to be honest, the ferrari carbon ceramics are around 20k and that doesn't include the pads 😂 great vids by the way, cant wait to see the rs6 when its done 👌
if you were going to do the brake change at some point anyway it's a good call to buy them .and if you decide to sell them you will get your money back anyway each way winner winner chicken dinner 👍👍
Intercoolers draining is required in the Mx intervals. Do you think maybe they were almost never cleaned and that oil was just from the PCV system? I've seen a fair amount in some cars.
Really enjoying this project. Surely he would’ve sold the whole,e car for not much more than 11k. You get those awesome wing backs and the soft close then.
How much did he want for the whole car? Surely with that mileage it would not have been a fortune, then you could have stripped it in comfort and also taken a few parts from it to upgrade the spec on yours, before selling what's left for parts?
Sure is a GREAT BUY. You will always have the money. Wont be able to find them for sale. And they VERY VERY VERY VERY ....VERY expensive. You paid small fraction of the price. You can ALWAYS get 7-8k pounds if you decide to sell em.
Personally, I would have bought the other one, put the engine and carbon ceramics in the blue car, then TDI swapped the parts car, and put the steel brakes on that. Maybe even with a 5 cyl... Though that one would not be very reliable, maybe worse than the V10 (2.5 PD TDI is really not reliable at all), but it would definitely be a very unique car. Actually, now I want to look for a cheap, cool color, engine less RS6 and a used TDI engine...
Ceramic brakes for a 1000 bhp engine sounds like an execllent investment
Ceramic brakes are almost always a terrible investment
Some one finally said Z06 , a lot of boys in north America would’ve help you built a 1000bhp with american muscle, I appreciate your effort , Go american mate
@@vickeshishian6904RS6 is cooler than a Z06 in basically every way. Its going to be a 1000bhp wagon. A wagon. Not a 2 seater sports car. A wagon.
it’s still going to be a wagon mate , I appreciate you guys want it to remain Euro power , but watch how the corvettes are doing on the track
@@vickeshishian6904 Putting a LS in a Audi RS6 would be sacrilege....
I am enjoying this series. You are very watchable. Thank you 👍🏼👌🏻💪👊🏻

You guys done a great job to take the engine out on this conditions!!! Good idea 👍 with the ceramics brakes
Takk!

Shutup.
Thanks
Watching from Australia! Well done for keeping an old RS car alive! Keep up the good work. Keen to see the progress 💪🏽
Id have baught the whole car and took all the nice interior and softclose doors. Sounds like its a high spec one you could take loads from
Wish they would've found only that one and bought it, and not the blue one
@ville85 yes that would have been better i did think that. Makes me wonder how much the guy was asking for the whole car.
Really exciting stuff. The ceramic brakes were a superb buy, well done. 😊 She is going to be a very special RS6 V10. 👌
Thanks - well done so far, great channel, best wishes from New Zealand
It’s a great project, really enjoying the video updates.

Thomas you are a LEGEND
Epic road trip to come back with such an engine and those brakes! The condition seems to be so good! I can't wait for the tear-down to see if all is still good.
You are in deep now, so there's no turning back. Really exciting to watch and follow
Great content ! years of experience on one engine in each episode.
I almost bought those brakes. The car is 5 mins away from me in the video and I have a Daytona rs6 too. Good luck with your build

Well done Tomas with finding a decent engine in my neck of the woods!
The high mileage might turn out to be a good thing if high mileage truck engines are anything to go by. Good luck and thank you for the content.
A great update and have been you for a while now. Rs6 has always been my dream car.
Way cool! Genuine and exclusive, well done! Those wing back seats are also very desirable.
What camera do you use to film the rear of the van, when it is being driven?Such a cool effect.
Good luck Thomas. That was a long day. Another step forward though. Great content. Look forward to the next instalment.🤟
Its a beautiful car. Well worth it. Thanks for bringing us along.
We will see 1000hp in no time at all... cant wait!
Can't believe that car was being broken, you should of bought the whole thing, absolutely mental stripping such a rare spec rs6
Great video and a line in Dudley best wheel alignment in the country
These guys are Wizards in VAG 👍🏻
I thought you was gonna say the seats, you should have got them and dyed them black or reupholstered them 👌🏻
I own one of these and it's a truly awesome engine, even on standard power like mine. They are also built to last if well maintained. Good luck with the build.
oh for sure that was a good pickup. I'm doing R8 CCB's on the RS4 and I'm around the same price.
I'm blown away by the quality of your audi content. i hope you do a B9 RS5 build one day haha
Geewuss.im loving this build so far.lol wish I can have a V10 in my b7.but a old V6 12valve aah Wil do for now.🎉good luck bru.
Right on, good luck with the project.
Thanks for the video.

hell of a job.nice work . like being at the race track lol
This story is fantastic keep looking forward to the next video 👏👏👏
Well done lads. The biggest killer of speed is brakes. Nice.
Love your videos on this build
"Support our obesity"... had me laughing!!! 👍
Good finding, get the front seats from the one you pulled the engine from.
still in your twenties and already a legend 😂😂🔝🔝🔝

You’re a mad man! You should have taken the full car off his hands and built 2 👀
😂 yeah no probs .. I just rip open another pillow full of cash
How much did he want for full car? That looked a great spec car
@@VAGTechnic I was watching the video and I honestly thought you was going to say that you’d bought the full car because it wasn’t categorised, and you’d mend and see the original to help fund the new one 🤣
Pillow of cash, wow! I love it!
You, sir, are the patron saint of Audis in need. We trust your judgment!!! This is an amazing project, thanks for taking us along. Many Thanks!!!!
I am not a mechanic at all but find this series really interesting for some reason :)
Great purchase 😅 Please get the calipers completely redone. Taking them apart should be your thing and then have them chemically stripped, blasted and powdercoated. TPS maybe can help with the ‘stickers’ for them otherwise a sticker/decal shop could maybe work?
only prob with ceramic brakes is they only work once hot no good for dragstrips
Brilliant enjoying this
Yes, good brakes needed
Nice one, ceramics ideal for 1000hp,
It's running thats a great start 👍
You made out like a bandit! Well done.
Great series this. A lot of money spent there, but seems like a proper deal for the carbon brakes too.
Its not 1000bhp now 😀
@@VAGTechnic More?...brilliant 😁
Dam nice, I expected that you would buy something more when I got to see the donor car😅
Great project! As a “new” S8 V10 owner I understand your love for these beasts. Once you start on those calipers I’d be interested to know the color code for them, I can’t seem to find that anywhere...
Great video again 👏
You should have taken the seats also.... they were beautiful.....
Top lads at A line always get my alignment done from them 👍🏽
Wish they were close to me ! You guys are awesome.
Would have been tempted to buy the seats. Would have looked awesome in the blue car. Looked Audi exclusive.
My favorite series.
thats not a bad deal for the discs to be honest, the ferrari carbon ceramics are around 20k and that doesn't include the pads 😂 great vids by the way, cant wait to see the rs6 when its done 👌
Damn I thought you was gonna say you bought the whole car for the extra 6k and it was just the brakes 😂🤯 the seats looked awesome too!
Nice parts mate
Seats 👌
Ceramics were a good buy, seen just the fronts alone from RS3’s going for £4k.
if you were going to do the brake change at some point anyway it's a good call to buy them .and if you decide to sell them you will get your money back anyway each way winner winner chicken dinner 👍👍
Wow. Projects getting costly eh😮. Hope it all works out. 👍🏾

The Z06 carbon ceramics swap would be also interesting to see. Brembo rotors for 1500$/pc. Not cheap, but Palatable.
lovely
Really enjoying this project. Surely he would’ve sold the whole,e car for not much more than 11k. You get those awesome wing backs and the soft close then.
17k he wanted
@@VAGTechnic fair enough then doesn’t seem worth the extra at that price. Really looking forward to seeing things come together now
What are your thought on the newer RS V8TT engine in this body? And is it even possible without major modifications.
I don’t have that much money 😪
Never knew fiat vans come with hyper drive 😳 on a serious note that v10 sounded silky smooth to be fair
those brakes were a bargain... good decision
You should have bought the whole car - then you would have had a place for the second engine. Two working cars with fully reco'd engines.
I say new brakes are demanded for the power you are aiming :)
I knew you bought something else. The car was kept in good nick or the mileage
Is this an aluminum block or a steel block?
I thought you bought the interior too :( that brown bucket seats are even rarer than the CCBs
Crazy....🤯🤯🤯
How much did he want for the whole car? Surely with that mileage it would not have been a fortune, then you could have stripped it in comfort and also taken a few parts from it to upgrade the spec on yours, before selling what's left for parts?
The brakes are a bargain
That car had nice interior, maybe get those seats. Still can't figure out that guy had that car for that high mileage
How long roughly was the car standing for? Oil looks very bad
the car had a nice interior too ,,, maybe you should have just brought the whole car home .
Buy the brown seats
Sure is a GREAT BUY. You will always have the money. Wont be able to find them for sale. And they VERY VERY VERY VERY ....VERY expensive. You paid small fraction of the price. You can ALWAYS get 7-8k pounds if you decide to sell em.
The spec of that Cambridge car looked amazing - how high mileage?
Them seats are 🔥🔥 didn't even know they came with them!!!
I thought he said it had 170’000 miles
Did you ask him the price for the whole car, looked lovely.
video good
Bargain 👍
Should have taken the seats!!!
I think u should have brought the whole car for spare parts just for those seats alone had them re done
