Hey, I just finished watching your very informative reactions to my series so far. Thank you so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I'm not formally trained in filmmaking, I just love action flicks and have always wanted to make my own ;)
The "Midnight Riders" are a hard rock band in the universe of Left 4 Dead 2, another big Valve game. They're talked about a little bit in the game and you hear two of their songs in the final stretch of the chapter "Dark Carnival," where you and your fellow survivors start up a concert finale to alert a rescue helicopter to your location as the Midnight Riders are known for using a lot of flashy pyrotechnics in their light shows. The Midnight Riders themselves have a couple of nods to groups like ZZ Top, the Allman Brothers Band, and (more vaguely) the Beatles. P.S. Fun fact: "Midnight rider" is an actual term for someone who visits amusement parks at night. Which is exactly what you do in said chapter.
Fun fact, that "tank" is a model based off of the Ferret Armored vehicle, it was a British lightly armored scout vehicle used back in the mid 50s-70s, and had a top speed of about 60mph.
Not Luck. I would say he's actually more than just a lucky fellow. His ways in adapting to fights is a very neat thing about him. When he got his tie pulled he proceeded to cut it afterwards so I wouldn't say he's bad. Wouldn't say he's the best but he generally can get the job done and he can adapt to situations
@@tyshawnstubbs9315 It was when he had his tie pulled is also when he seriously considered switching over to clip-ons...Assuming he survives that long.
Another note, you'd love Yakuza. Kiwami flat out states that the smartest way to handle a gun-wielding opponent with your bare hands... is to get the hell away. You get taught a technique to deal with it anyway but this is a franchise where hot-blooded men deliver beatings that would send lesser men to the ICU, if not the afterlife, so long as it's a playable section and not a cutscene, so it's not like it isn't a little unrealistic in some aspects.
There are different advantages to holding a knife right side up, and upside down. A knife right side up gives you more range and the ability to slash your enemy easier, an upside down knife sacrifices these in exchange for better stabbing potential, and the ability to hook your opponent in for a killing blow.
The person named matthew bryce is scout. Yes, the EPIC scout. Its believed that scout struck terror to his enemies whenever they see him. About the whole "unrealistic choke" thing... the dude choking White Spy is clearly stronger than any human being should be capable of being. He stopped a car speeding down the highway with his bare hands, and didn't seem to get hurt AT ALL. He casually stood still and just reached his hand out to grab onto another speeding vehicle for a lift without ripping his hand or his arm off! He's no Rabid Heavy, but holy shit, that man could choke someone ANY way and it would work. Maybe he wanted to make him suffer by doing it slowly, too. He seemed pretty mad that he couldn't pull the trigger on his comically-oversized... revolver, I guess? He's defying all logic just by being himself.
Your logic on knives is correct. Daggers, on the other hand, are more effective in a reverse as there is a little more power behind a stab attack in said grip.

There are also female versions of all the mercs, created from scratch, based on TF2 fan community artwork created by various artists over the years, and then 3D modellers and animators build and rigged the models, added facial flexes, and in some cases community-made voicelines by community voice actors, so the models could be used in Source Filmmaker or in private servers as mods that replace the normal in-game body models. There are no "skins" in TF2 the way there are in Overwatch or Fortnite. Only cosmetic items that modify the nine body models (including head replacements, mostly for Halloween items). But the SFM community has datamined a lot of models from other games, like Dishonored or L4D2, and put the TF2 mercs' head models on suitable Dishonored body models, to create whole new characters, like a Stemapunk Engineer, or a brawler Heavy in 1920's street clothes, or Medic in a leather jacket.
An explanation about any different models you may see from sfms, since some things don't match with the real game, not really sure how to explain it without being assblasted in the replies about examples of exceptions, you're going to see models like the mercenary, or the cool heavy skin you saw at the beginning, it's just called the mercenary. As for the Gordon Gecko medic, I'm fairly certain that is just medic with civilian clothes, which I would assume is in the SFM workshop. This can apply to most of what you see, along with custom class colours.

You mean to do only a half spin? Because think about it, for it to not spin at all you would have to throw it like a freaking javelin. You can't throw a knife without any spin. Best you can do is throw the knife so it reaches 0° at the point of contact, but it has to leave your hand at an angle and spinning. (and for that you also need to know the distance to your target)

For that last bit about the weapons case, its more or less a MacGuffin, its an object, device, or event that is necessary to the plot and the motivation of the characters, but insignificant, unimportant, or irrelevant in itself. While the 'weapon' might make a show in a later entry into the story in this one however was just a plot piece.
Indeed, although if i had to guess it must be a unique saxxon gold minted weapon that is unlike any other. That will reappear again probably.

Hi MHGR could you possibly react to soundsmiths weapon/hat stereotype series? Also at 25:07 that wasn’t back up lights in the tunnel the light was from the cars that are on fire hense why the rest of the tunnel isn’t lit up like this
Just because people know what the item in a case is doesn't mean they know it's in the case. It's like a back briefcase full of gold no one knows the gold is in the case until they see the case open with gold in it. Everyone knows what gold is, but no one knows gold is in the black briefcase
I just realised something... This guy is literally Darkwing Duck! I mean at one hand you build him up to be this living gost with no past and no ties, and on the other hand he drives around in a fancy, blinding white car with his name on it
The only thing missing is a catchphrase and we have ourselves a duck hero
Fun fact: midnight riders is a fiticious band from l4d,
U missed the post credit scene.
There WAS another scene after the credits that you missed.
Think of this spy as agent 007 except the funnier version
14:45 wasn't that thing around 1st world war? idea to have a car that can withstand machineguns and move at the same time while having its own machinegun?
Later on it changed to support roles like recoinesance and fire support if none of tanks were nearby?
Midnight riders is the rock band from Left 4 dead 2
Your pfp Is giving me nightmares
Is it me or the microphone quality is like not right?
only thing I could think of is that his computer is using the mic on his ear buds not his regular microphone. Small flum-up that has significant impact.
No comment on how The White Spy didn't check if his gun was loaded before jumping into the fray!? I thought you would have at least something to say about that XD
You missed the end scene after the credits.
14:28 its actually based off the ww2 British Daimler Armoured Car.
