Out of the over 250 episodes of ER that I have seen the Ray Liotta one is by far the finest and best .. Great writing! Great Directing! Great Acting! Most POWERFUL episode ever!!! Thank You and R.I.P. Ray...
For me, that was the absolute bet ER episode, hands down. I bet all the wannabe Liotta fans will be coming out of the woodworks after today. I've been a fan of his since day 1.
omg ray was so freakin' amazing, and this was set in real time, can you imagine walking into ER and within an hour you are gone! for me his best performance ever
I just watched this episode again (Time of Death) this evening, following the news of Ray Liotta's passing. His performance was beyond outstanding; I'm emotional and crying at midnight.
Ray Liotta...hands down #1. I literally watched that twice in a row when it first came out. And did the same thing a few weeks ago as I've been rewatching the series. That episode and Ray's acting in it is absolutely incredible.
@@sarcasticallyrearranged in the early days TIVO was way better than the generic DVRs that came out later. I loved it. At some point DirecTV and TIVO split up and DirecTV switched to their own DVR. I wasn't happy about it but eventually got used to their DVR.
i had never watched this show. came across it one day , with ray , wow, so powerful , filmed in real time, and he gave the most amazing performance, how could you not be drawn in and cry
I actually shed a tear when Mekhi held his hand and felt it when he let go of life!I always have a lump in my throat when the young man plays the obo after a good audition and finding out that his mother doesnt have cancer but TB!
Always liked him so much but don’t think I ever really fully appreciated his talent until this performance, I was blown away, and it haunts me to this day. I have watched it several times over the years and the impact remains the same each time, it is unbearably moving. I am crushed he is gone, but it sounds as though he was happy in his life. RIP Ray, you made a difference.
I love the random people I see in ER/ Some of my fav are Michael Gross & Fred Ward, (bc I'm a Tremors fan) Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins were both there (not in the same episode of course) and I've seen at least 3 from Once Upon a Time.
I cant find rays full scene. The editing when he is dying and he is on a bus or train and is alucinating and tries in despair to see his son as he dies alone in the desert of his mind...
RIP Ray. You were bloody brilliant. Number 1 spot is rightly deserved.

Ray liotta was just excellent, robbed for a golden globe nomination. Underrated actor with a great career

@@jeffadams9699 me too
We’re all here. I came here specifically to find his Emmy-winning role; he at least has that on his resume (also, screw the Whites-Only Globes).
RIP
James Woods and Ray Liotta were the most amazing guest stars. Both had me in tears. Incredible.
omg ray was so freakin' amazing, and this was set in real time, can you imagine walking into ER and within an hour you are gone! for me his best performance ever
Rest in peace Ray Liotta, we Will always have a lot of films or episodes like this to show how amazing actor you were!

The Ray Liotta episode gets me EVERY time.

How did you watch it twice in a row?
Repeats usually took time and if you missed watching it on TV, well, too bad.
@@sarcasticallyrearranged back before DVR's, I had the original...TIVO. I used to record my favorite shows on VHS before that and still have some.
I had forgotten about TiVo.
I still remember being disappointed back then because I didn't know that it was an option.

Ray Liotta really gave a great performance in his ER appearance.
RIP and long live Ray Liotta (December 18, 1954 - May 26, 2022), aged 67
You will always be remembered as a legend.
Number #1 Ray Liotta ❤️
Best performance ever!!
And that episode was so hard to see 💔
You NAILED it with #1 Ray Liotta. I held my breath through most of the countdown, hoping you'd choose him.
glad you liked it ;-)

I have to say that was perhaps one of my absolute favourite episodes!!
Yes yes yes!!! That episode is one of the most Heartbreaking and
Mr Liotta (brilliant as always) nailed it!!!!
such huge admire of all his work
That Ray Liotta episode was probably the best one in the series.
RIP Ray Liotta. Hands down the best ER guest ever.
Ray Liotta/Charlie Metcalf absolutely belongs at #1. 👏🏻
8:37 is such a real portrayal of frustrated dependent elderly patients.
When Carter said with him til the end was a defining moment for him, he saw him not as a patient but as a person.

Ray Liotta: R.I.P. 2022
Rest In Peace Mr Ray Liotta
Damn I remember like yesterday! Every moment!😢
Well if this is the list, Rosemary Clooney should certainly get an honorable mention.
And yes, RIP Ray
She was in two episodes, so she can't be on the list...
I found her character really annoying.
RIP Ray Liotta.
Ray Liotta. Such a moving episode.
I just worked on a readthrough with Swoosie and she’s literally the nicest woman ever
Two of the top ten were from the same episode (S12E13). Probably worth a rewatch!
I really liked the Alan Alda appearance too.
He was in more than one episode...
Sally Field should be in top 10 she was awesome on Er
She was on way more than one episode. That’s another list.
@@mollylea2643 oh I didn't read the one episode edition
@@michaelhartfelder4381 She’s in this one. th-cam.com/video/MDyWktEktVU/w-d-xo.html
Bonus... Bradley Whitford at 04:32
Ewan McGregor to me is unrecognisable due for him being younger and different.
Came here for 13:26 RIP Ray Liotta 💔
Am I the only one who caught Bradley Whitford in #7?
I was wondering the same thing. Is the original poster teasing us with that or what?
Yep, noticed him, too. West Wing! 😊
Bradley played his role in more than one episode so wouldn’t make the list.
The Great RAY Liotta RIP

Hey that little kid there is daniel mitchell dennis the menace.
Best one episode guest star was the late Rance Howard from the Season 15 episode “A Long, Strange Trip”.
I forgot Sara Gilbert was in ER
Same! Was so surprised to see her in that recap!
I had a childhood-crush on her as Darlene Conner >.
I cant find rays full scene. The editing when he is dying and he is on a bus or train and is alucinating and tries in despair to see his son as he dies alone in the desert of his mind...
Ewan McGregor was great in that episode!
Alan alda aka Hawkeye
AHI HIZO UNA PEQUEÑA APARICION LA QUE LLEGARIA A GANAR UN OSCAR OCTAVIA SPENCER
Is it me or does Ally Walker do half her acting with her head tilted to one side? And not just here... Profiler too.
And Sons of Anarchy
And Universal Soldier
Ray Liotta 13:27
Vondie Curtis-Hall in drag
Heartbreaking.
Alan Alda. Sally fielf
They are in my other lists...
