belew's vocal really shined in this track
I think Belew's high range was the best out of any singer King Crimson ever had. You could probably argue that Wetton or Lake were slightly more polished singing, but there's something very cathartic about Belew's vocals. He really got into whatever he was singing - you could tell it resonated with him.
@@Lunarsight I think that's cause he did most of the lyrics during his tenure in King Crimson.

One of the most underrated song of the band.... definitely it is on my top 5 of the songs of the King.
Model Man was played on the radio, used for promotion, maybe Model Man is underrated as all Three albums by those who falled in love recentelly, for classis CK era.. But only in TOAPP there are most underrated tracks: Industrial Zone 1 sounds like prequel of GOT jingle, Industry, The Warning, Nuages, but the most underrated song of the 80's trilogy, is SLEEPLESS (Surely not underrated for Fripp,or 90' musicians but for maistream (I thought MTV..) But it rules, and better on live.Imo image of Tony Levin in the intro riff, IS ICONIC as the gong of Waters in Live at Pompei.
This is my 3rd year of discovering King Crimon. even though by now i could've been done with all the materials related to KC, I am still working my ways through this album as well as the remaining ones.
Model Man, while still fresh to my ears, has proven to me that King Crimson is indeed a band no one can replicate nor imitate.
To be honest, most of my teenage years were influenced greatly by King Crimson. Currently i am 18. But perhaps as i look back in my life. I think this band will give the emotional rollercoaster of my life. Be it for the best or for the worst.
Thank you Robert Fripp, for opening my eyes.

Buying this album in the 80's was a good move.
This song pulled me through a bad break-up in my life !! Even as i acknowledge that I'm not a model man.....
Adrian Belew's the greatest musician/guitarist of the last 50 years.
Favorite track off of this album.
Thanked my parents many times for owning good speakers and an LP of this as a kid because Belew seems cranked way up in the OG mix and it's stunning.
My favorite is probably "man with an open heart" but this up there for me too.
