Although, this adaptation is much closer to the original book, at least the Rankin-Bass remake gave him a love interest as well as additional adventures. However, I feel that a classic such as this should be on theatre screens this time of year, especially if shown in a one-screen small town walk-in theatre in a rural area such as the town of Flemingsburg, Kentucky. Ofcourse, that’s one theatre that needs major renovation and restoration alike. Also, it’s much better to see a few short subject movies like this one before the main feature, and it would be better than having the advertisements of local businesses on the theatre screens.
