It always amazes me, having grown up in Queens, how much of NYC I never saw. I concentrated on Manatten, my favorite place because it is always exciting. Excellent video!
31:12. You finally got to my neighborhood. I lived there the first 30 years of my life. My elementary school was PS 134 on 18th Ave and E 4-5 Street to Ocean Parkway. Thanks Ken. You brought back some great memories.
You are a great tour guide, this really made me feel like I was there, on the street level. Seeing people's faces as they walked by. Listening to the sounds of the neighborhood. I live in Milwaukee and intend to visit NYC within the next few years. But your videos really are the next best thing to being there myself. The 4K video resolution is absolutely stunning. I enjoyed your narration too. This was great fun, I sat through all 44 min of it.
You do a superb job, I wish I had extra money to give you. I grew up in this area in the 40s, 50s, etc. The stories I could tell you. I'm 80 years old, not well but I miss my days in Brooklyn. I lived there 20 years and I sincerely want to thank you for your excellent videos. Teddy
Perfect weather for a walk. Really nice apartment buildings on Ocean Parkway and great houses on Ditmas. Interesting info on the Kensington area. Another informative video...thanks, Ken!
19:53 House Sparow exist in Europe, western Asia, north america, and some rare places in Africa like Morocco and the delta of river Nile in Egypt. I used to have them as pets when I was a kid. They are very clever, they can learn a lot of things and once they learn how to fly they'll follow you everywhere and stand up on you shoulders :). I heard their noise on one of your videos then I spent a couple of hours reading about them and the places where they live, that's why I have this information. Thank ActionKid.
I just caught this video. I used to walk around here with the dog before the pandemic. How I miss doing that! And how I miss my family in Brooklyn. Thanks for this video!
Great video. I'm from Flatbush, love the Kensington/Ditmas Park area. Would love to see another walk from Kensington to Ditmas Park that features all the beautiful homes and side streets. Autumn walks through Ditmas Park are the best 🍂🍁
Great video. .I'm with you on the sparrows lovely little birds I have two that come visit my garden and a Robin everyday to have a bite to eat that's here in glasgow, Scotland. ...☺🐦
If you want to see New York today you must come to Brooklyn ... Manhattan especially the south with all these new buildings looks more like Taipeh, Shanghai or any random Megacity, when i was there in the early nineties it was way different... Thank you for taking us there !
Hopefully there will be more videos of Brooklyn in rain, snow, etc ♡ looking forward to more! Thank you for this...(mind you, I'm from Brooklyn...something about this is so calming)
ActionKid...You are doing amazing job. Very few channels like yours exist. Channels like yours , J Utah etc. enable people to roam different places sitting in their homes... Thank You very much...
I've only been to that station once. I lived on Newkirk. My brother and I used to go to school on Atlantic Ave. Sometimes I would take the D train and my brother took the 2. I would walk from the train station and we would meet generally at the same time in front of the house. I preferred the D, it was faster and less crowded.
Had to watch this again it’s so good! It’s my old neighborhood (Ditmas Park) also called “Victorian Flatbush” and my old Jr. High School Ditmas Jr. High! I commented via my old account but had to again! Thank you so very much ActionKid!
Actionkid, Hey I hope your living wonderfully. Was wondering If you were willing to make to make a video on night life areas near midtown and/or lower manhattan. Thank you and love your walks !!
Not to far is Sunset Park Chinatown which runs on 8th Ave (N train) and Fort Hamilton Pwky (N Train). Really cool neighborhood not too much stores like flushing or chinatown but oh boy they have lots to eat and bakeries. Have you made a video on this neighborhood? If so im gonna watch it asap if not, please make a video about it. Promise you won't regret it.
The pigeons New York's official bird. All the ones that poop all over the place. New York City also has beautiful mourning doves. And you do see Cardinals.
Unbelieveable how big nyc seems to be, I wonder what area's I need to visit to get the most out of my visit to nyc. Think I havent got the time to see it all

The nine tenths of a cent makes it appear that the gasoline costs less, according to advertising experts. It's why products cost 99 dollars instead of 100. And most motorists buy at least 10 gallons, so it's unlikely the fraction of a penny will be an issue, especially since the pumps register only whole cents.
Kensington is located extremely close to the hood but people inside it wont really call it the hood we do have some stabbings. I only heard gunshots 5 times here

My favorite street is Fort Hamilton Parkway almost to the nearest borderline of Borough Park.
It's like being in NYC without having to leave my bed.
That's exactly what it is
It's too cold to walk outside these days
I confess I was in my bath robe from Florida.
Kensington!!! My neighborhood in Brooklyn, omg lol....never thought you would pass by here.
The residential area of Flatbush with the treelined streets looks absolutely beautiful. I would love to live in a place like this.
It always amazes me, having grown up in Queens, how much of NYC I never saw. I concentrated on Manatten, my favorite place because it is always exciting. Excellent video!

The sheer drama of those doors opening..
Ditmas Ave turns into Ave D. Nice walk through the latter half, that is called Ditmas Park.
I've only been to that station once.
I lived on Newkirk. My brother and I used to go to school on Atlantic Ave.
Sometimes I would take the D train and my brother took the 2. I would walk from the train station and we would meet generally at the same time in front of the house.

Hi,A K. I like that video. Thank so much.
I feed like I am doing the walking. I can't walk for to long. This is awesome.
I went to Newkirk since when I was young will still go there
I used to live on E.4st between Ditmas&Cortelyou..nice Neighborhood 💯
Hoping I can go back there again soon! Gyro King is no longer there. Used to go to that branch of Chase all the time!
Always pleasure to watch your videos.. Thank you!
Man you were almost to my area. Please walk Farragut Road or Nostrand Ave from the Junction to church ave!!
Had to watch this again it’s so good! It’s my old neighborhood (Ditmas Park) also called “Victorian Flatbush” and my old Jr. High School Ditmas Jr. High! I commented via my old account but had to again! Thank you so very much ActionKid!
You’re welcome! I’m glad I could show your neighborhood 😃
It was a nice day on that day in Sept. and I felt like I was there but some parts of the sidewalks were very dirty with trash. Thanks for sharing.
'Little Bangladesh Avenue' along Macdonald/McDonald Avenue between Church Avenue and Avenue C in Kensington, Brooklyn was designated in 2022.
Ocean Parkway looks very nice.
Brooklyn is NYC..the home of diversity!
Actionkid, Hey I hope your living wonderfully. Was wondering If you were willing to make to make a video on night life areas near midtown and/or lower manhattan. Thank you and love your walks !!
I could try!
I love that there is a bike lane all the way to Coney Island.
I like your voice! it sounds so comfortable!
Enjoyed every minute !
Newkirk plaza station might have the narrowest passenger platforms. Only a couple feet wide at the south end.
Yes, I’ve done several videos of Sunset Park already.
@@ActionKid ah yes i see. I am binge watching them now! Love your content.
The pigeons New York's official bird. All the ones that poop all over the place. New York City also has beautiful mourning doves. And you do see Cardinals.
Great Video. Thank You Brother.

Wow, my neighborhood! You were 50 ft from my house along your walk.
I’m happy I was able to visit 😃
Great walk
You should walk through Bay Parkway, if you have already could you or someone drop the link below, thanks.
Action kid......for a minute I thought you would be walking in Kensington, in Philly...

You should do guided tours. Great business idea. You'll make a fortune
I'm considering it!

OK, I saw the news. th-cam.com/video/CREdiM-2vvg/w-d-xo.html
got no money to travel, so I decided to watch your videos and imagine I am there lol

Ditmas Avenue offers some attractive homes. I assume the side streets are even more attractive without the auto traffic.

Did he really say "Alba-marley Road"?
9/10 of a penny? How does that work? Do they just round up to the nearest cent?
Yes, they do.
@@keithnichols7926 Yeah, that makes sense. I figured that's what it was. I've just never seen that so granular before.

There is a church on Flatbush and Church Ave where we attended the boy scouts before it got political and gay.
Hello @northeastpolo
🖐💝💝
looks like you in the middle of hood!
Kensington is located extremely close to the hood but people inside it wont really call it the hood we do have some stabbings. I only heard gunshots 5 times here
Not really. But it does border the hood and many other rundown places. One could call it a transitional neighborhood.
The F train huh? Lol
Hispanic is not a race.
Yes, you’re correct
