Thank you for this. When I was a young child in the late 1950s early 1960s we went to watch Disney movies here. My mom lived her entire life in Rockford and the Coronado opened 8 days after her 2nd birthday, It's a shame that my hometown has degraded so much. My mom worked for the Howard Monk advertising agency before she married. Her grandfather, my great grandfather, founded Sjostrom and Sons Inc. Loved the Cheap Trick songs.
I've always wanted to play that pipe organ! Went on a field trip there back in school and one of the employees played it for us. Been to many shows there.
I am glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah, I didn't really address the haunted issue in this video. But, there are other videos by other people on TH-cam concerning the haunting spirits that reside at this beautiful theatre. My guess is, when they built the theatre back in 1927, they disturbed some Indian burial mounds that once lined the shores of Rock River. The only burial mounds left are at the nearby Beattie Park located a few hundred feat from the theatre to the north. Who knows? Thank you for watching! Please subscribe, you won't be disappointed. Have a nice day!!!
