I’ll bet at no point in Jay’s life did he ever think he would be making commercials for a living. 😂 He’s getting pretty good at it. We don’t mind though. It’s a free way for us retirees to support his channel. 👍
Thank you for the support! And understanding why sponsored videos are necessary for any youtuber. I mean Mr beast does sponsored videos, and he gets 140M views a video 🤣.
The water rafting was a cool idea, Jen was spot on! 😊 The mini cabin is looking great, although a storage cabinet outside for the batteries and such would be handy. Love what ya'll are doing 😊
We don’t care if you are talking about sponsors or what we love ❤hanging out with y’all, everyday when I look at my calendar just reminds me of you two 😊👍
This old Texas gal is grateful for showing that you melted snow for water! We are now over 10 days mostly freezing and lower here in southern Missouri. We had some freezing rain and a few days later the other blast came in and I got about 10" of snow. Needless to say my IBC faucet froze up and dishes were stacking up so I heated up snow to wash up! Also my first time ever in 67 years to shovel snow so I could see all the darn rocks and not fall and bust my backside! Been in snow before but I'm used to it melting in a day or two and we've had highs above freezing but still tons on the ground! At least it's having the good grace to start getting slushy but 14 degrees tonight and I'll have to wear my ice skates tomorrow morning!😂🤣😂🤣 Texas Deb ❤️
I'm with you Jay, I like to test everything out first. Maybe the Kohler is not very efficient? Nice work and enjoyed the rafting on the river, very nice surprise Jen ❤
I futon would be nice in the mini cabin That way you could have both a sofa and a bed Thanks for sharing this rafting clips with us. Something I did a lot of when i was younger
You, guys are great❤ Very nice couple Always work as a team Congratulations to your achievements Jay, you are a beast and handy man Jen, you are a super woman Jay is extremely lucky to have you From Haiti, Woobens
🎊🎉 YAY🎊🎉🎊🎉🎉 JEN BACK TO HERSELF 🙌 Love to hear your sense of humor always. Great job on the trim Jay but🤪 the top trim looks outta place. Thanks for the ride down the river.🚣 Hows Timber & Scout doing haven't seen them playing in awhile 🐶🥎🐶 Great video to thanks!! Love yinz both ❤️❤️❤️❤️
All you need is a cigarette lighter plug to run 12v from your DJI or any solar generator. It uses the most when you first turn on the diesel heater (to heat the glow plug). After it is burning, very little power is used just to spin the fan.
Finish the trim in the new tiny cabin first. Finish everything in the new tiny cabin. You are not living in the tiny cabin and working on it will not disrupt your life. You can finish up the cabin you are living in when the weather warms up a little bit,
You have some spare solar panels over in the shed. Inexpensive mppt in the cabin, with wire through the floor or wall to the batteries should keep them up. I like Victron, but a 24v, low amp mppt from any decent name should do fine.
Hi ho hi ho off to trim we go light may be bit dim birds sing their him but off to trim we go hi ho hi ho hi hooooo 😂 you 2 are brilliant cabins are looking nice your doing a brilliant job 👍
Are you putting handles on the cabinet doors and drawers, if yes then will you be buying them or making them yourselves?, and what a lovely way to spend some time away from diy jobs, it looks so beautiful with the snow everywhere, and I bet it’s absolutely gorgeous in the summer, tfs 🫶🏻 Julie 🇬🇧
Das sieht ja schon super aus ich bin noch mal aus dem Bett konnte nicht einschlafen habe heute zu viel gestrickt ich brauche deine Pulli Größe aber Deutsche Maße Möchte dir einen schönen Pulli stricken
Jay i have a question your battery s . I was always told not to put them on the ground to always have space between otherwise the ground will drain the battery. Is that still true ?
BTW, there’s another front headed our way, looks like it might hit us Monday, but today’s was only supposed to give us 1-3”, and it dropped at least 4”, and the night’s not over yet! Lol
Can I ask what was your reason in building another cabin and so close to your cabin? Is to rent out, for family and friends or Jay's just got the building bug? That's a real thing some finish one thing and gotta start another therefore never being finished
We are thinking this is where the Power station we use for powering the cabin will be stored. This will keep it out of the way and like you mentioned there may be a trash cabin there as well or just the trash.....we will see. =)
Victron Energy Blue Smart IP22 Smart Car Battery Charger 12V 30A, Trickle Charger, Float Charger and Desulfator for Motorcycle, ATV, RV, Lithium and Deep Cycle Batteries, i use this to power my diesel heater, It also has a function to use as a 12v power supply, i have 2 others for battery bank back up, they are very good products, on amazon for 175.00
Not trying to tell you what to do but you always building something what do all that power equipment on the side of your new cabin look nice in a built box with installation so that equipment doesn't freeze up and put the diesel heater in the box with it with a little ventilation so your equipment is protected dude
@danaleestephens, no matter who you view here on TH-cam there will be product reviews. Here you see them, Amazon, and other places you read them. You can always fast forward through them. I’m glad they do reviews. Bye bye now
That was a very nice thing Jen did for you two, it looked like a good time.

Lol that's a good way of looking at it. I recently came across your videos and i love them. Keep up the good work @OffgridwithJayandJen
The water rafting was a cool idea, Jen was spot on! 😊 The mini cabin is looking great, although a storage cabinet outside for the batteries and such would be handy. Love what ya'll are doing 😊
Omg i loved the raft ride in the snow. I want to do that now. Love watching you guys work on your projects.
We don’t care if you are talking about sponsors or what we love ❤hanging out with y’all, everyday when I look at my calendar just reminds me of you two 😊👍
Lots of love my friend

Be safe my friend 🧡
Thanks for taking us all on your journey. What a way to spend the day floating calmly down a creek.
Cabin is coming together nicely, but that rafting trip ... so lovely.. makes me miss home SOO much
i would suggest building a insulated box for your batteries running the diesel heater the charge will last much longer
What a great gift! The scenery on the raft ride was amazing!
Great job with this video! Made us smile and wish we were out Kayaking in January.
Might be time to get an insulated door for the little cabin since you’re throwing heat in there! 😎
Thanks for taking us on the river! Love these add ons.
Great ride down the river!! Thanks!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for taking us on your rafting adventure. Wish I was there!,
Jay love and enjoy your videos. May the lord bless and protect you Jay and Jen putting poly on. Jay working outside and start the trim.
Way to go on y’all’s divide and conquer strategy! The trim looks great! Jen did a great job on the cabinets!
Woot Woot buddy. appreciate ya
I'm with you Jay, I like to test everything out first. Maybe the Kohler is not very efficient? Nice work and enjoyed the rafting on the river, very nice surprise Jen ❤
Ya I'm unsure on that charger. I'm looking forward to hooking up some solar come spring time
I tell my daughter often, "the smoke detector is not a food timer!" 😂😂😂😂
Outstanding...really enjoyed the floating and accompanying music.🎉
Time to invite those great folks from busy down state. They can have fun.
this reminds me of the old days canoeing down a river in a snowstorm thank you for reminding me of my past dave from ct
The rafting looks fun. I like the winter wonderland. It makes me feel cool, lol. If it was winter here I would probably complaining it is too cold.
How fun, Next time I would love to go, looks like a Blast.
I futon would be nice in the mini cabin
That way you could have both a sofa and a bed
Thanks for sharing this rafting clips with us.
Something I did a lot of when i was younger
Love the winter rafting! Beautiful, great camera work!- Be safe!
WOW, raft ride looked exciting. Reminds me of way back when, we used to canoe the Huron river along different places!!
Great raft trip...beautiful

Great work! 👊🏻👍🏻 Appreciate you always my friends 🙏🏻 God Bless
I really like visiting with you. You make my day.
Thank you for the kind words

Nice trip down the river I didn't get cold or wet.
New projects are more fun to work on than old projects. So I'd guess the trim in the tiny cabin will get done first 😂
🤣🤣
THE CABIN TRIM
Finish the trim in the new tiny cabin first. Finish everything in the new tiny cabin. You are not living in the tiny cabin and working on it will not disrupt your life. You can finish up the cabin you are living in when the weather warms up a little bit,
Thanks, y’all,❤ for mentioning the extra details about the carbon monoxide/smoke detectors. I’ve been on the lookout for new ones.
It seems like a great product......Jen Put the links in the description box for you. Best wishes

That’s Beautiful country up there…
You should try the AuSable River… that’s really beautiful area too
The rafting looked like fun! (though I would like it more if it was about 70 degrees Fahrenheit ; )
Hi ho hi ho off to trim we go light may be bit dim birds sing their him but off to trim we go hi ho hi ho hi hooooo 😂 you 2 are brilliant cabins are looking nice your doing a brilliant job 👍
You probably should move the sofa on the opposite wall of the stove and cabinets.
Cant have it on the opposite wall because the door wouldn't open then !
Go Detroit Lions! and Go Ohio State Buckeyes too!
Have you ever used tung oil to treat wood...Im curious about it
Das sieht ja schon super aus ich bin noch mal aus dem Bett konnte nicht einschlafen habe heute zu viel gestrickt ich brauche deine Pulli Größe aber Deutsche Maße Möchte dir einen schönen Pulli stricken
Thats very sweet of you to offer
Those cabinet doors need adjusting ;)
Y’all will need to shield that wall and window from the propane cooktop. Could potentially melt the window and singe the wall.
Yeah, I liked the stove over more.
Who is the pianists? Love this music❤
Jay i have a question your battery s . I was always told not to put them on the ground to always have space between otherwise the ground will drain the battery. Is that still true ?
Now that's a rafting trip, I think I could do. Unfortunately, I'm in California, and our river the mighty Kern, is too rapid and deadly for me to do.
Don’t forget to get a door latch and knob
Should not set battery's on concrete put on a board. The concrete draws battery's down.
BTW, there’s another front headed our way, looks like it might hit us Monday, but today’s was only supposed to give us 1-3”, and it dropped at least 4”, and the night’s not over yet! Lol

Maybe you address it and I miss it . The open space under counter . I see that put heater vent and there is outlet . Maybe a slim trash can ??
Loose to pull it out when Jen is cooking and will be easy to put trash bags in it .
We are thinking this is where the Power station we use for powering the cabin will be stored. This will keep it out of the way and like you mentioned there may be a trash cabin there as well or just the trash.....we will see. =)
I hope you have no plans to put curtains up in the window near the gas stove. Still beautiful little cabin.
you should put a potato masher in that drawer so its hard to open. that will make it a real home.
Why is the exhaust going under the cabin now?😬
That's the heat outlet
The exhaust is the small steel pipe pointing to the back
Uns die Farbe will ich wissen für den Pulli

Are you related to Matt from Matt's off-road
No we are not.

Sorry. I can't say I like 3 different colors on the door trim

I used to watch you guys but now all you do is hawk people’s products so I’m unsubscribing to you! Sorry
Thanks for the channel support. Today's product is actually one we needed in the cabin!
@@OffgridwithJayandJen I like product reviews. If fellow off-grid didnt do reviews and installs how would we know what to buy.
@@jartotable exactly. And this smoke dector is needed in the cabin. Safety first!
