Having followed BTCC for many years I cannot recall anything more exciting. I am 83 and was bouncing around in front of the TV like a 5 year old. However my language when Neal tipped Colin off the circuit in race two was very adult . It was a sad reflection of a once great driver and I am certain Cammish would not have wanted to win in that way. But eventually it was a story book ending for a thoroughly deserving driver who has been outstanding all season, and I am sure Cammish will win in the future the right way without any underhand “help” from his teammate.
Good man Alan, more horsepower to you. I am from Co. Down and have been a big Colin fan, he is a real genuine sportsperson, I was so impressed when in the last race Colin was trying to overtake Dan but gave his Honda a slight nudge, but Colin had the presence of mind to drop behind Dan immediately to avoid the risk of being penalised. I often see Colin's brother racing at my local racetrack, Kirkistown, just 5 miles from me.....
JG just a shame he didn’t do the same for our boy Moffat in 2017 who was a few laps away from a 2nd victory at Brands until Colin ran into the back of him.
Cammish was the best driver on the grid in the second half of the season but if not Jordan's hospitalization in the first half and Turkington having to recover after being turned around by other driver in 3 events in a row, nobody would be close on points to both WSR drivers.
Unbelievable day of racing! What a race the final race was, one for the history books, got to be up there with many of great touring car races and moments. I was fully cheering on Turkington from my sofa 😀 after being turned around in race 2, I thought he thoroughly deserved to win today 🍾 Already looking forward to next season.
Andy Jordan admitted that this seasons BMW's are the best cars he's ever driven!Like a rocket off the start line and an amazing chassis made it an unbeatable package.Especially driven by Colin.Nice try Matt Neal but even after being spun and shunted on many occaisions this season, The right driver won.A truly brilliant season and now I'm just hoping Dan Cam, can continue talking codemasters into producing a new TOCA/BTCC console game. Bmw was still behind a rwd subaru estate/wagon in wet condition. I wonder how that would play out if subaru was allowed to tune properly and use awd. Levorg was restricted to make it less speed on the straights. All the cars should make the same straight line speed if there's any point of having the restrictions. Wagons should be allowed to have a bit more hp since it's less aerodynamic and has a larger cabin with more weight high up. @Izumi Culture the support races are just as good if not better than the big show from what I've seen. MavTV (grassroots racing channel that partly replaced SPEED) started showing them on a 3 or 4 month delay here in the USA on their international block alongside Shannon's Nats and Ice Speedway usually. They usually air the Ginettas and a couple other series but not all. I think most of the US fans at least just wants a live video streaming counterpart to the main series (like what V8s do with SuperView or V8s, DTM and several others streaming on Motor Trend on Demand).
I may be cynical but looking at the grid for race 2 it was pretty obvious that Honda would have a plan to control Colin Turkington by Neal blocking him,allowing Cammish to gap the field.Colin's brilliant start negated that tactic so Neal resorted to nudging him off at the first opportunity and claimed that Turkington had turned into him,so not only a blatant cheat but a liar too. Insufficient penalty awarded in my view,a three race ban at the start of next season would perhaps make Neal aware that his behaviour is unacceptable.
Christopher Franklin doesn’t work like that, Neal is worth a lot of money and the sport loves him so they wouldn’t do that to him. Same with Plato when he got away with taking ash out at Snetterton near enough.

Harley 2 different series here for 1 and 2 Hamilton is overrated anyway he’s had the best car in every season of F1 and has bottled many easy titles. Bottled 07, bottled 08 until Glock let him through, bottled 09, bottled 2010, 2011 and 2012 and 2013 to Vettel and then the Mercedes era he rarely had competition as it was fixed for him and that’s why he let Rosberg win in 2016 cause Lewis knew if they let Nico win he’d leave the team. Most fixed season in F1 history and it was fact the way it was done considering the fact Lewis was given mediocre engineers and Nico the best ones for that season. We all knew what was going on but nobody would admit it.

Daniel Ricciardo went to Renault to prove a point to the other teams that if Lewis ever moved to a mediocre team he’d do nothing like Daniel is. Btcc is sad stuff. Their afraid of subaru. Subaru is not allowed to enter with a boxer engine in a smaller car than the levorg wagon. They have done everything to reduce the advantage of a boxer engines low center of gravity. Several rule changes has been made just to keep the levorg and subaru from winning.

Great to see Cammish go off. Its karma for sure. What Neal did was a disgrace,surprised more here are not saying so. He got a penalty so must of been in the wrong. Plus the interview after the race he looked so pleased when asked about the move. Did not even say it was hard luck on Turkington. The Honda team drivers have no class, not since Flash left. Cammish walks about and talks like he is a F1 driver,this might teach him something. When the car came to a stop his face was a picture when he realised he had blown it. Not really a BMW follower or Turks would of liked to see Jordan win after his bad early season luck.Also how many times as Cammish said "i have won other championships". Well he did not win this one. A better driver did.
Cammish has finished every race this season,apart from the last race due to mechanical failure... Nothing he could do about those brakes being stuck behind the Ford,causing them to overheat.Hes came into a front wheel drive car,after racing RWD for years,and immediately,blew away his multiple championship winning teammate. Hes a multiple Porsche gt3 champion,including one championship title, where he won all the races! Turkingtons car was clearly the better car all season,and yet Cammish still kept racking up the points. He didnt rank and rave after the bitter loss in interviews either. In my opinion hes a class act,who will be champion very soon.
Gary Murphy the team had no class with flash neither he just ran into the back of other cars all the time and what he did to cook in 2017 is a reminder of why he retired when he did. Was useless.

Charlize Sampson he ran into josh cook at Oulton Park in 2017 for no reason and ruined Josh’s meeting and Maximum Motorsports meeting and there’s many other examples of him hitting other cars too
Turkington is one of the most boring drivers I’ve ever watched, occasionally he’ll decide to move through the pack but most of the time he is quite happy to sit on the back of the driver in front and bag the points. It’s a formula that works but I’d much rather a more exciting driver like Sutton or Shedden won the championship
absolutely not the same as the super touring era!! modern BTCC is not the same as it once was back in the 90's where the drivers were drivers and not this modern-day crap! bring back the autotrader BTCC salons only 300bhp N/A and cars you can tell that cars are BMW, AUDI,Ford, Vauxhall etc!! 2 cars per Make lets go make touring cars good again!!!

Gameboy Terrorysta the BMW was nowhere near as competitive as it was the first half. The field was always going to close up.
