You would not have to kick me out. The moment I would turn 18 and have access to my inheritance, I would be so out of there.

I just want to know how an 18 is a 'freeloader all their life" they have been a child up to then.

I really liked the little engagement story. It was different… A different story line/plot… Plus, it had a happy ending. Nobody cheating, yelling that they’re better, losing their job, living on the streets or eating out garbage cans. I hate those stories!

Erm, I thought the brother and sister inherited the house. If the brother used the house as collateral for a loan, which he shouldn't have been able to. Hmmm. The executor of the estate would have to give his permission for the loan to be placed. The brother would also owe the sister her half of the market price of the property. A bit rumbly but I think I got my idea across.

he was only raisinbg his sister so that she could pay him back by supporting him and his wife after she gets her inheritance. That would have looked good in court.

This is the dumbest way to do an engagement I have EVER seen. She was COUNTING on him violating her privacy? How stupid!

If a person’s name is not on the account they cannot touch the money.

A legal guardianship responsibilities and what they can and can't do depends on the laws governing wills, guardians and their charges as well as whether the financial institutions require a parent or legal guardian to be on the account. In California my son had a savings account but had to have my name on his account and legally I had full access. However since that was his money not mine I wouldn't touch it.

First story: "I invested my money and it's gone..." And that's my problem, why?
And once the person turns 18, the guardian no longer has access or permissions to any accounts belonging to that person!
"Immediately out on the street..." You just forgot that I'll be the one with all the money!

First story is good. Second story...omg. Are people really that dumb?! His brother was way more patient in listening to him.

I adored the 2nd story! It was different! Ok there’s a wee bit of stupidity but at least it is not the same old:...”brother & evil SIL treat sister like crap & force her out of home” or the OLD “ boy meets girl. They marry. He becomes a bastard & cheats. They divorce. He regrets.” ... YAWN!!!!

In so many of these stories loans are gotten from banks by people who have no collateral and no employment....bizarre.

Engagement story. And that, ladies, is just one reason why trying to play things too subtle with us men usually doesn't work. We won't get it. We can be a little bit dense that way. 😊 Just say what you really mean. It works better.

The second story was stupid. I don’t see a future for them. She made that man worry himself sick for a month.

Seriously?Three years after the date the sheep was going to propose? I understand people can't handle it, but I can't believe he was so upset by it. And made such a big deal about it. that would have hurt my feelings And I don't think I could go on with him. She put all that thought in there all the planning of it to surprise him and he had that reaction? Screw him i'm sorry
