Panko is best used as a crispy coating fried foods, specifically Japanese foods like Tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet), Chicken Katsu, and Japanese style croquettes. I would never use them for making Italian meatballs or meatloaf. It's not the right texture and they don't bind things together very well because they're so dry. Also, the way Americans pronounce it drives me CRAZY! It's not "PANG-ko". It's "PAHN-koh". Pan, the Spanish/Portuguese word for bread, was brought over to Japan by the Portuguese. Panko is really two words in Japanese--pan (bread) + ko (flour/powder).

As he ages, or his sister, all the knowledge needed to perform the Haka is taught. At school, further teaching happens too.
