Maybe because it was the only original song made for this game and not a remix from touch and roll? But then again, I don’t get why the boss themes were cut. They were originals too.
And this is why I feel Sega was truly Nintendo's best rival when it came to games, they knew how to run the gamut and create unique franchises and gameplay experiences one couldn't find anywhere else. I miss those days when Sega and Nintendo were arch-rivals, but I am glad that they are also respectful to one another today.

Japanese corporations lay claim to the works of outsourced contributors, and Naganuma considers his work to be owned by him and him alone, only licensed for use by others. He's very liberal with letting his work being used, as long as he retains the rights, so when things like this come up, it's a simple matter of signing off on re-crediting where he has already been paid for his work.
Shame the HD remake's soundtrack is straight up pants. I would've bought the game had they given us the option to use the original soundtrack or just had someone do covers of the songs, I would've been fine with that. Instead we got an ill-fitting soundtrack that destroyed the atmosphere. Not going to support that.

Games like Jet Set Radio on Sega Dreamcast and Sonic Rush on Nintendo DS were *loaded* with music like this, as Sega brought on a composer by the name of Hideki Naganuma to create music for the aforementioned games. As for different musical generes, Nintendo's been hugely into jazz over the past decade, with the two most recent mainline games in the Mario series (Super Mario 3D World on Nintendo Wii U and Super Mario Odyssey on Nintendo Switch) having tons of big-band jazz music. And then there was the time Nintendo had a phase of full orchestral scores on the Nintendo Wii with games like Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2. Console gaming is quite the art form, and like other forms of entertainment such as movies/books, it's great to find a video game series that has exactly what you seek, whether it's great gameplay, an immersive story, lively music, a cinematic presentation, or multiplayer experience.

I remember this course for being stuck on it on my Wii. I cleared all of the levels, and all the levels, including 8 are grayed out, even the boss. I can only access these levels by using practice mode, but I can't practice beating the boss. I beat the game through my WiiU
Sega may not be the better than Nintendo in gameplay and such, but we have to admit it, the kniw hiw to make good music, and in terms of making a good game, that also counts
My favorite theme in the game! :). Could do without the "doo doo doo's" though. Didn't care for that. But everything else was great! But this is coming from a techno fan, lol.
