1) I don't think so but I could be wrong. 2) It will play on your computer sound and you record your computer sound in OBS to have it be recorded in OBS. For example your headphone output.
@@trui Ohhh ok, I was hoping to avoid inputting my general audio bc I use so many other sources and have to have some things I hear (or the volume I hear them) as separate from OBS. I did find a way to do it in MixItUp however, and was able to test it successfully so hopefully that resolves it! Ty again.

Are there any settings needed for streaming with OBS Studio? Also I am using a Goxlr mini, dont know if you are, but are there any settings when using one? Thanks for your time.
They Terry, yes still reading comments. The sounds will play in the chatbot itself, just like a game that plays audio you need to capture that into OBS. I don't use a GoXLR so not sure how you normally capture the game sound, but you should be able to do the same for this bot.
Not sure if you're still reading comments but i'll give it a shot. Is there a way to only have the sound be played for the streamer themself and not for all the viewers? I'm a mod for a 70 year old twitch streamer who doesn't always notice whenever something is wrong with the stream (black screen, mic muted, ...) and we wanna use this command to alert them that something is wrong but the chat doesn't need to necessarily hear those sounds. If that's not possible with this method, all good. It's not THAT big of a deal but would be nice if possible :)
Technically there is, however you would need to use different software (or hardware like a mixer) to split the audio sources. For example Elgato Wave software or Voice Meeter Banana (this one is free but hard to setup). Ps. Yes I read ALL comments 😜
Hi! I love your video and it was extremely helpful setting everything up. Thank you so much. I have all my commands, sounds, points and ranks setup. However when the sound plays the viewers don’t hear it unless I have desktop audio on, but it adds an echo to my voice and the game. Do I add the chat bots audio through as a different type of source for the audio itself?
Really depends how your sound is setup. For digital mixers you can let it come into a different track. I used to just record desktop audio and then hear the game like that too.

There's now a big problem with ChatBot, apparently the desktop application doesn't allow me to log in on Twitch any more, and every time I try to reinstall Chatbot, Streamlabs sends me to the Cloudbot page and no desktop app is available to download... Any info on that?
Hey, do you still answer questions? I want sounds to be triggered only when I play certain games. I put a cloaker sound for PAYDAY 2 only, but it still works when I am not playing that game... How do I change that?
hi i dont know if youre still reading these messages, but is there a way to make the sound go off from every message? im just starting off and when i have 1 or more viewers they sometimes chat, but i can get lost in the game thar i dont notice the chat until i look at the other monitor way too late, i just want to be alerted when theres a new message so i dont miss it..thanks
I'm not sure if that's possible with this bot, I have seen it before on other people's streams, and I usually find it pretty distracting as a viewer. I have built the habbit to look at my second monitor once a minute. So even when I record for TH-cam, I still find myself doing this, lol. This is the nicest way for the viewer. I'm not sure what bot people were using to do this, as I never looked into it because of this reason.

My Streamlabs Chatbot no longer plays sound commands. I allowed OBS to update, not being aware that it did not play well with the chatbot (or streamdeck for that matter) I redownloaded my previous OBS, but the commands are not triggering any sound to play. Is there a known fix to this? I'd appreciate any help!
The stream deck needs a special new update. Elgato shared that on their Twitter and Discord server. For the Streamlabs Chatbot. Make sure you record your desktop audio.

You can add a sound effect item to you Cloudbot store with a command your viewers can use in chat to redeem the sound effect. In order for just the sound to go off you will need to remove the image from the Cloudbot redemption tab here: streamlabs.com/dashboard#/alertbox You can find the store in the cloudbot tab :) I will write this down as a video suggestion for other people in the future :)

You would need a physical or digital mixer for it. For example the Rodecaster, wave link software or voicemeter banana (last one is free and digital but the hardest to setup)

As far as I know, they haven't changed Chatbot in forever. You might be looking at Cloudbot on the website, though, as that's a different bot.

As you talk about Dashboard I am sure you talking about Streamlabs Cloudbot. This is the local version Streamlabs Chatbot. They are different bots.

Humm that's odd! If you use [game payday 2] it should only run when your Twitch category is set to payday. Maybe you didn't connect your Twitch?

You can do it for a words, however it does trigger every time they say it. You could set a long cooldown to combat it.

Are you using Chatbot? As it might be confusing as Cloudbot (on their website) is a different program.
Are anyone elses alerts MUCH quieter than the actual sound clip? I have volume maxed and its so quiet compared to the actual sound
You could always use Audacity to edit the sound file to add some Db :)
do you lower your desktop sound in OBS? Or any other input, might be that too

Ow yeah definitely! If you don't make your bots a moderator you will run into some problems
