Not Khaasi ka syrup...he meant 'Khuss' ke sherbet which is Vetiver sherbet. Pretty popular in northern states.

The first time I ever bought Shaan masala was in Delhi when I was visiting for a couple of days. Haven't seen it anywhere else, but it's common outside India

Big Bazaar used to sell Shan Masala, Most of the general store in Hyderabad and in Mumbai I have seen Shan Masala.

Bhai, Shan masala pehli baar naam sun rha huu, generally MDH ya everest k masale use hote hai Indian households meh
Big Bazaar carries Shan Masala. It is also available in Hyderabad, Lucknow, Delhi, Mumbai etc. Many biriyani joints use it.

You can follow a common recipe for cooking but cook it with aloo that'll be good. But for Indians, it comes under the umbrella of vegetables like lauki, kaddu, karela
Ok here it is my recipe
1- Cut parwal in 4 pieces
2- saute fry them in mustard oil
3- in the same pan add 2 tea spoon of oil and add in chopped onions (if ur cooking for one person 2 small sized or 1 medium sized is fine)
4- in a blender add zeera,corriander, garam masala, garlic and ginger
5- add this mixture to the onions and add 2 small sized or 1 medium sized tomato and keep cooking that masala
6- add those sauted parwal , add tumeric , salt and most importantly kasuri methi(dried) .
Ps- this recipe is meant to be dry don't add a lot of water actually don't add water at all.
Enjoy it with rotis , do let me know how they turned out.

Khas sharbat is not related to Khasi. Its a sweet green sharbat. Though it tastes like trash to me & i hate it but some people like it. Depends on your taste.
