I've made many tree of Life pendants & threaded semi precious gemstone chip's onto the branches, I've never thought of doing a plain tree around a cabachon. It's a great idea & very effective, thank you so much for the inspiration. I've got quite a few cabachon's in various gemstones as I collect gemstones. I can't wait to get started, thank you once again, I always enjoy your videos xx😊💖😘

jeez you make it look so easy, it's so fiddly holding everything together... At least it is for me, which is why i've only just made an open pendant so far..

I'm about halfway through, and let me preface this remark by stating that I've never done one of these, they look difficult, and I think yours is lovely. I'm a nature lover, a landscape designer, and a jewelry maker (among other things). But my designer's eye is thinking perhaps a little shorter trunk so more roots and branches can be shown? I'm a huge fan of the tree of life and even have a tapestry hanging on my living room wall. I love the distorted, twisted "bonsai" look of this design. You do lovely work. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. The thing I love about making the ‘tree of life’ is that it’s different every time. The trunk was a bit too long, when I’m working in front of the camera I try and get it right first time and not undo much. Thanks fo your comment ❤️

Hi Kelly. My cabochon is 28x19mm. How many 28 gauge wires would you recommend I use for the tree ? I watch your tutorials nearly daily. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. 💕⭐️🙏🏻

Thank you, you can use the same amount if you like or leave off 5 for a more elegant look. It’s entirely up to you ❤️

Beautiful! Love the open frame idea for wrapping the tree to, can see from the front where the branches are going. Thanks Kelly 😍

Thank you for another beautiful video!! I must admit, I do prefer it when you show the whole video at regular speed. I couldn't follow what you were doing when you made the roots and branches. Perhaps a slower speed than this, but faster than regular speed, if you're wanting to make shorter vids? Personally, I could listen to, and watch you make jewelry all day at normal speed -- your videos are so relaxing!!! And this is quite a lovely finished piece!! 💗

Thank you, I didn't want anyone to have to sit through the whole thing, it must have taken an hour, I like to take my time with the branches 😅 thanks so much again.

Kelly, how do you determine the most economical amount of wire needed for a tree? I have several stones I'd like to use. Is there some sort of mathematical formula? For instance, a few stones are 24x29x08mm, 23x27x07mm and 16x18x03mm. They are each striking labradorites and I think a tree would befit them.
    Smoochies to Gracie!❤

Unfortunately there are no set measurements as such, you can work out a rough length for each piece of wire and then cut however many pieces you want for a thick or thin tree, think about how much you want to cover the stone too, some stones look better with more delicate tree designs, exposing more stone. Have fun, hope this helps 💕

Judy... you totally should!! It’s not as difficult as it looks. Just a bit tedious but so worth the time and effort.
