One of the best things about Kelly is that she's not caught up in celebrity. She is fully aware of how fortunate she is and she just continues to do the work. The fact that she's found success just being herself is a testament to her talent and personality.

I love that she is kind of clunky when she interviews people. So down to earth, and real. Her day drinking with Seth was easily one of the best segments on Late Night.

Well deserved Emmy! Finally some appreciation for the caring gals. I think caring acts of kindness should be rewarded and given just as much attention as fit bods...where is the love for those gals lovingly dedicating all their time and effort to supporting and caring for others. It requires much hard work and patience, as it’s so mentally draining, especially during these tremulous times, more than hours upon hours at the gym trying to attain the revenge bod or all that time spent on looks. Honestly, I think the ones committed to noble acts of caring should get just as much attention and appreciation as the ones committed to hot bods. So many people get so obsessed with their looks and the life of luxury, they lose sight of what’s truly important..the soul. I think this year has been the ultimate test to that ..in making sacrifices for others, especially the first responders. It’s funny how you think you got it all figured out and then God, or as some say, a higher power/the universe turns you around and sometimes upside down. #newperspective

Talkies Absolutely. Stay fat, don’t make an effort, don’t try to be healthier, your body is perfect as it is, even if no one wants you and you get type C diabetes at 35. Keep your fortune cookie wisdom to yourself, especially when it’s horrible advice. If you need to lose fat to be healthier and happier, do so. Stop blaming social constructs. Work out. Period.
Yeah, perhaps "revenge" is the wrong word, but I can't think of another, she's been working on losing weight but not pressuring herself. She did a segment about it on her show. When you've been HURT as deeply as she's been hurt, all the emotions from grief to anger and finally to peace (cause they have 2 kids together) are all fighting for front and center attention, that often translates into sounding like "revenge". I'm looking forward to hearing her new album which she's said is the most intimate one she's written, after "Piece by Piece", it's hard to imagine.
Did you see her sing Alannis Morsett's "Ironic" to "Down in Africa"?(I THINK it was Down in Africa), she nailed it and Alannis set the bar high for "revenge" albums, but Kelly could easily raise it. I can't wait for the new album.
As I said, the body's been in the "work in progress" stage, she's going to ROCK when she reaches her goal. I just hope she's HAPPY!
