LOVE LOVE LOVVVVE the fact that you have such a realistic amount of make-up that an everyday girl may have as her collection, so relatable! I see youtubers with masses of make-up and I get overwhelmed and feel they’re out of touch sometimes in my opinion. But watching this is so satisfying and therapeutic the fact that you’re already quite a minimalist but want to further condense your collection. Makes me motivated to declutter mine. Subscribed 💝
I feel you!! When I see other people with HUGE insane collections I’m just like ..what. How. Even. I try to only keep what I can use! After all, we’re only one person 😂 I’ve needed to declutter most of that stuff for years so it felt so good to minimize my collection even more!

Decluttering my make up made me feel so guilty in wasting sooo much money. I could have used it to travel or buy more food 🥺

Yes and you are not alone.....we all fall for it in one way or another....the anxiety that trends bring to all of us....make us go into that spiral of wasting money for things that we do not need, we do not need a gadzillion eyeshadow pallets, we just need the basics....nudes and something more " shiny for the night/ event", a liquid eyeliner, a bronzer, a blush, a mascara, a foundation that meets your needs a good powder and a lippie and that is it....all of the rest is just anxiety....I am in that path of " recovery" I stopped buying at least....
It was such a relief to watch this after all the other so-called decluttering videos I've seen in the last while. I watch these types of vids to motivate myself to declutter my own stuff but then more often than not end up feeling utterly sickened by the amount of stuff, the amount of waste happening. I'm not a minimalist in the least but still, it's just not remotely realistic for anyone to collect so much makeup in the first place and then end up throwing most of it away because it doesn't get used. The earth is definitely not thanking us for this type of unhealthy behavior and neither are our pocketbooks.
I greatly enjoyed both of these comments. You two should make videos on this topic.

Loved how realistic your makeup collection is! Also I know these foundations are probably long gone but you could’ve kept those darker foundations that you liked and mixed in those color drops that were too light. Those are exactly what they are suppose to do from what I’ve seen!! ❤️

Colorpop ultra satin is actually matte! Just not as drying as their ultra matte formula. And it's my fave formula. :)
I'm new to your channel. I am working my way to be a minimalist. I got a long way to go but I've been doing really well with transitioning this into a life style. 😍
I think that its good to only have one of each thing thats what i do cause then you use the whole product before it expires if you have 20 foundations they are gonna expire before you can even get to use them and that is just suuuuchh a waste when i see people with 100+ lipsticks i feel so overwhelmed and i get stressed about the fact that they have to deal with all that i just feel good with less, but i rarely use makeup so that migth be one of the reasons why i feel that way. Anyways this was a great video and i love that you didnt have a horderlike amount to begin with

Maybe instead of having giant eyeshadow palettes, look at mini eyeshadow palettes from maybeline or invest in eyeshadow singles that are in neutrals so u use them everyday. That's what i did and i am currently decluttering all my Jeffree Star makwup

I’m getting a TON of comments saying to donate this makeup instead and trust me you guys, if the make up wasn’t 2 or 3 years old I would! But I’m definitely not going to donate expired makeup ✨💛 & YES, I know I said pallets instead of compacts, I couldn’t think of the correct word while I was filming 🤷🏼♀️😂
I love that you have such a small amount of makeup and nothing too crazy. It’s so refreshing to see someone with a normal amount of makeup for a typical person and this video was great!

Please do not throw away the NYX one :D You can give it. Eye shadows do not expire but indeed, they lose quality. But that NYX one can still be used. I used shadows from years ago and they still look nice ;)
The nyx one I got April of 2017 lol it’s way too old to be using! You’ve gotta protect your eyes when it comes to makeup because infections are no joke! Eyeshadows should be replaced every year but I’m guilty of keeping them longer than that too😂😂
@@caitiejunefit :( I guess I am lucky. Nothing ever happened to me from eyeshadow ever. But I keep it safe, in a dark place, room temperature and only I use it. I do the same with brushes. Keep them covered from dust. So this may also be a factor. But depends on the eyeshadows
@@caitiejunefit And issue is that my aunt brought them to me from the US. I can't afford to change them as often :( They are less expensive for you guys there than they are here. here in Romania the price is double
Your eyeshadows are probably just fine, but if you're worried about your eyesafety give your shadows a spritz of rubbing alcohol to sanitize them.

Cream or liquids you should try to keep decluttering because they will get old but with powders you shouldn’t have to worry that much.

Since you said you only use two colors in the kvd pallet she has mini pallets now so that might work for you and the mini pallet is one thT you can reuse the pallete and buy the colors when you need it

you can always ude the light shades on the KVD palette to set your eyelids and use the darker contour shades as crease eyeshadows!
