Richard is an awesome guitarist, but listening to him reminds me why I like slash so much. Richard sounds more “modern” and plays faster, uses more scale types perhaps, and shreds more, while slash plays more traditional blues rock in the vein of Page and Hendrix. To each their own, but I prefer slash’s style regardless of difficulty level.

So it was just hearing his style of play made me realize how much I prefer Slash’s style. I’m not speaking to who’s better or anything, just preferences.
I love Richard Fortus specifically for that exact reason. Fortus is a more technical player and his solos are very unique and interesting and a great yin to Slash’s yang. Richard’s style makes you appreciate what Slash brings to the table, and Slash is cool enough to give Richard the opportunity to add a new style of guitar to the group so it feels less like a blatant nostalgia act. Richard deserves his spot in GnR and earned it after years of dedication, just like Frank Ferrer has in my opinion.
My favorite GNR song, especially the last 2 minutes. Axl should try singing this in the lower register because he seems to be struggling here at the end.
@@jgg4719 its hard to remember what was the best year when iv seen them, gateshead 92, milton keyens 93 or glasgow 2006? but all 3 were very good, but in the last 10 years or so he has been shocking with the high voice, no power or growel just his herbert the pervet voice lol

Simplesmente não entendo Axl, ele parece fazer muito mais esforço pra usar o falsete do que pra usar o drive. Percebam que na última parte da música ele parece muito mais confortável usando o drive do que no início usando o falsete. Eu acho que ele deveria ser focado em aprender a técnica do drive melhor pra que não o machuque já que nitidamente ele canta muito mais naturalmente usando seu drive. Aliás a afinação vem MUITO superior do que com o falsete
Exatamente é o que sempre falo. Aprender a técnica correta para não machucar seria o ideal, técnica esta que é feita no palato mole. Mas infelizmente não ha quem faça ele entender isto.
É porque ele simplesmente não tem mais uma voz mista boa, não tem o que fazer. Quando ele sobe vai para voz de cabeça completa, quando desce vai para a voz de peito, mas quando fica entre os dois fica tenso

i agree, he sound terrible, people will always make an excuse for him. truth is he need stop singing this type of song, he no longer has the high pitch voice anymore, this is painful to listen to, he can still sing with the lower voice so its time to change the set list
Drummer sucks. Axl sounds terrible. He should stop embarrassing himself. Slash is only giving less than half an effort. He looks bored.. Its just about the money from large crowds

I second that, I much prefer the feels you get from bluesy pentatonic playing than shredding Satan's scales!
