You have a point, I personally like running bladestorm since it cant be disarmed now, it's a lot like having avatar for a few seconds, I hate losing an rbg just because i got rooted trying to cap a flag.
I'm currently playing at a 2k CR as destro and to answer your question, Affliction just doesn't have the damage to compete with destro with the current gear. FnB + Incinerate + RoF = More overall damage than Dots on every target at all times. Not to mention the single target dps that you get from chaos bolts for burning down those FCs. Hope this helped :)
It's just a suggestion because people tend to look at the "top comps" or the most represented and decide that their team needs to match it. That or they see a guide much like this one and that is what their team becomes. It's difficult to convince people otherwise, hopefully this video helps with that. IMO though if you want to make sure you have your own slot every week best bet is to become an rbg leader and form groups yourself.
In RBGs, Shockwave is almost always on a 20sec CD. Hitting 3+ targets makes the CD 20sec instead of 40sec. It's near about the same for RBGs. Super strong.
I agree with your Holy Priest assessment...there really is no good reason not to bring one. Throughput is amazing for aoe heals and they bring just as much utility as disc. Add in guardian, lightwell, and spirit of redemption and I struggle to believe that disc is more useful. Reworked Solace makes them more of a mana battery than disc as well.
I have not been able to convince a team to take a ret in a loong time. So i was just suggesting maybe rets want to form their own group each week to make sure they are always included. There are a lot of Indians not a lot a chiefs if you get where I am going.
i like the whole video except 1 part. Ret paladins is a very good class and i have alot of friends and guildies that swear by them for rated battlegrounds and arena i'm not sure if you have played one or if you are just getting info off your mates, you should try a ret pally and believe me you will change your mind. Apart from that great vid! :)
Awesome video... So as a Hunter I have to start up my own RBG team.. I'm still kind of confused because hunters have good amount of CC, knock backs, freedoms, sacs, and a lot of stuns if the hunter has a Shale Spider....
i havent played ret pally in a while, but would it be possible to create a high sustained damage build so that maybe if you sit the ret on a person, that will prevent them from from being really effective? just a thought

Fury PvP is what I like to do. I like playing the offspecs that no one else will.
